Viking Fence

It was like pulling teeth to get the small jobs department sales rep to return my calls. Once we finally had an estimate from them and had authorized the work, they delayed the finish of our home repairs by six weeks until they finally showed up to do the work. Recently I found a draft of the complaint e-mail that I was about to send to their company when their crew magically showed up. More recently, we tried to get an estimate for repairs to the six-foot wrought iron fence enclosing our one-acre backyard. My third call has gone unreturned and I guess we'll conclude that they don't need the business. It's tough, though, finding a company that will do wrought iron repairs and not just installations. So it's frustrating.

It went very well. They were responsive, answered all questions and finished the work without me being there and monitoring them. They explained everything that needed to be done and kept the fencing that was still good to use. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Because of all the demand for new fences with the last storm, we did have to wait our turn for the work to be done, but it was done ahead of the estimated time given to us after the estimator came out and gave us our quote. Dave Ramos was wonderful, very professional, and he acted like he personally cared about our satisfaction with the work. The men who did the installation did a wonderful job, cleaned up all debris, and left us with a beautiful and durable fence. We are very happy with their work and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a quality fence with quality installation with the bonus of being made with very attractive wood. The fence adds to the value of our property rather than being an eyesore as so many seem to be.

Never heard back from them with a quote.

I don't work close enough to home to have met with Brad when he came to bid the work. We spoke on the phone as he walked around the yard enough for me to feel comfortable he understood what we needed. After sending me a bid by email, in less than 36 hours, I called him back with a few questions and clarifications then scheduled the work. A 50% deposit was required which I handled over the phone with their business office personnel. The installers were courteous to me wife during the time they crossed paths and cleaned up their mess after setting the posts, trimming to posts to length, installing the panels and gates. I would use them again and I would recommend them to anyone.

Had a fence that was installed by Viking a number of years ago so they were the first ones I called. Started off bad when I couldn't get anyone to want to help me by calling me back. Then I had someone else call and finally someone did come out to look at the fence but the followup afterwards dropped off the face of the earth. Just the overall lack of service is disappointing.

They started early one morning and was finished at the end of the day. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I will definitely use them again when the rest of my fence needs replacement.

They did a good cleanup before leaving. The price was above that of two other quotes, but I think I paid extra for speed of service and attention to detail. My neighbor also had a good experience with them on an earlier fence project. They were good about making contacts and giving replies, as well as discussing the details. Most of the business, from estimates to final contract and invoice was handled by e-mail.

Very poor customer relations.

I guess I asked one too many questions. I was communicating thru email with a representative and asked about different fencing in prices, after my third question he simply stop emailing me back. I guess I was a bother and did not need my business. I was a serious customer wanting to get my residential area fenced. I will go with another company that does not mind me asking questions especially if am going to spend over 6,000 on a fence.

They were very good. They were on time. They did exactly what they said they would do. Their product was high quality. Their service was efficient. The only area that I am choking down on is that they are expensive, but you get what you paid for; that is not negative. I chose to go with that price knowing that it was higher.

/Two day remove/install, as estimated. Top notch install team (son and elderly father (primarily the gate builder). Great cleanup, no mess at all. Our third Viking fence install (first at current home). Pricey, but good at what they do.

Dave Ramos came out and gave an estimate for a total of ~330 feet of fencing. Dave is very knowledgeable and understanding of the business and discussed in details options/ideas. It all came down to the price where Viking was about $1 more a foot than the company I chose. Dave will state that it is not superior quality compared to Viking but there is not a difference in the materials when you ask for exactly what you want to each of the fence companies you are getting a bid.

Very responsive and the gates put in were high quality wrought iron. Would definetly use them again.

I called and quickly got an estimate done. Was very happy with Rick and his knowledge and helpfulness. The only problem was I signed the contract and the credit card was immediately charged. When I mentioned this he apologized and explained the process. I would have liked a heads up. But he made up for it by schedualing the fence removal for two days later. They came in and very quickly tore down the fence and had posts up. The next day was also quick in instillation. The material was good and the fence looks great. I think I would have also liked a follow up call on how I liked it.

They delivered exactly as promised! The fence, and the gates, are exactly what we wanted. Those involved with the design and installation were great! I would definitley use Viking Fence again.

Based on Angie's recommendation, I got a bid from Viking. The representative came when scheduled, took measurements and promised to send me a bid the next day. I finally got a bid four days later, but it was over the weekend. The bid had the wrong dimensions (40% more length) and was for $900, over twice what I ended up getting it done right for. Perhaps it was too small a job, but I'll never contact Viking again.

We just moved into a house and wanted to remove the old fence and install a new one. We wanted a fence with horizontal wood pickets and steel posts. Brad come to the property to provide an estimate and helped us design a fence that was perfect for our backyard. The workers arrived on time, were professional and polite and worked very hard though the weather was quite hot. Brad came to the work site twice to inspect their work. The fence is beautiful and exceeds our expectations. We paid a higher price for what we wanted - but it looks great and will last. The steel-framed gates have locks and provide added security. Very happy with Brad and Viking Fence.

They returned our first phone the same day and were prompt and accurate with their times and estimate. The duo that came to our facility did great work and our gate has been working normally since. I would recommend Viking Fence because of their business first attitude and their attention to detail.

Overall, the company said the same as the other 5 I checked into. This included coming out and pricing a privacy fence replacement, including haul-off, steel posts, red wood pickets and deck screws. The company sent me an estimate, but never followed up, which was good, because their pricing was high.

The workers knew their job and the two man crew handled the work quite well. The new fence is well built, all posts buried very deep - almost 4 feet and all with cement like they are supposed to (unlike the original fence we found out - hah) My biggest issue was with the Saleman. The project was delayed because he failed to know the permit issues with the city of Georgetown. I happen to hear about it from another contractor and had to ask this saleman about it. Just make sure you you find out if the salesman fully understands all city requirments for whatever town you are in, and what he will do vs. leaving it up to you. It was not a deal breaker as I flowed with it, but it did upset my wife saying if we are paying this much, they should be walking us through this process every step of the way. But I was dealing with it so it was not any sort of deal breaker. The company is big and they have all the good that comes with it and sometimes some of the bad. I suggest this with any fence company - get every single detail ironed out ahead of time. Don't assume ANYTHING. Done to what type of nails/screws that will be used to what type of hinges, latches etc on gates and other items. I took me a week getting all my details ironed out after doing research on the web and seeing some site's fences. if it was not for the permit issue, most of the items would be 'A's. I would not have any issues with using these folks again.

Brad was very patient with me as I called several time with different questions that he answered and also giving advice along the way. He was very punctual returning calls when I left messages and with quotes since I kept changing the scope. The team did an outstanding job. They arrived around 8 AM both mornings, explained what they were doing throughout the day and by the second day, the fence was complete. My backyard looks great.

Only had one hiccup with scheduling. He said he emailed to ask whether or not all the dogs from the surrounding properties would be inside. I didn't receive that email and so we had to reschedule. Other than that, everything went really well. Wayne came out the day after I called to measure and give me a quote. They had the best price I found. Workers were professional and polite; worked hard all day even in the heat. They even managed to fit the fence behind some overgrown pomegranate trees that were up against our neighbors property. I didn't know how they were going to do it, but somehow they found a way. Cedar planks and posts seem to be of high quality. Overall, really happy with the fence.
