The Steam Team

I can't say enough about The Steam Team. They were on time, very nice, extremely professional and a fair price. They did such a good job I added extra rooms/carpets to be cleaned while they were at my house.

Professional. Didn't try to sell me on extras...the last company were more like salesmen than carpet cleaners and were pushy.

Very good about protecting walls and furniture, very polite and attention to detail.

They arrived on time. I felt sorry for the young man performing the cleaning as our tile was OK, but our grout was filthy from 3 1/2 years of renters that were very dirty people. They had 3 dogs and at least one cat. The tiles had grease and dog hair stuck in the grout. I didn't think the grout would come clean. I left him there to finish the job. When I returned, he'd already left. I felt bad about missing him to leave a tip, but was so amazed at the difference he had made that I called the store and had them add a tip onto my credit card to get to him. He worked very hard, scrubbing the grout lines with a special broom, and we were so very happy with the end product.

Ver well! They were punctual, friendly and my carpets looked great afterward.

It always goes well with The Steam Team. This is on one of our rental properties. They arrived ontime, clean quickly and they get it done right. I like this provider as you know what to expect and their a great value. This is my 5th or 6th time using them. I never have issues of any kind.

The service on all was excellent. The carpets at the school had not been cleaned in three years, they looked like new when the job was done. On the home carpets/oriental rugs, again, the results were excellent. I believe the young man who did our work was Todd. He was efficient, but very thorough. Excellent company to do business with.

I submitted a quote request online one evening and the process was very easy. I just had to put in the quantity of each type of room and what level of service I wanted. In my case, that was 2 living rooms, 1 bed rooms, 1 set of stairs, and 1 hallway. I just wanted the basic cleaning because I didn't need the carpets done under furniture and I didn't want any stain guard or anything. They contacted me first thing the next morning and scheduled a window of time for the technician to come out. They said that they would call 30-45 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, which was perfect because that meant that I could stay at work until I knew he was on his way and then just go home for the actual cleaning. The cleaning itself took less than an hour (and he even did a free demo of their upholstery cleaning as well). It was the perfect amount of time- not so long that you miss a big chunk of the work day, and not so fast that you feel like they didn't work hard to get your carpets clean. I was able to use an Angie's List discount, and he even gave me a free bottle of stain/spot remover. Michael was super friendly and he told me that Steam Team is very picky about who they will hire. Each technician carries a little badge that allows the homeowner to go online and look them up to verify their credentials. They only hire experienced, reliable technicians (he said that they all have like 6-12 years of carpet cleaning experience) and that they all really pride themselves on their work. Based on how much dirt Michael got off of my couch in his quick demo of their upholstery cleaning I may use them in the future to clean our couches as well. Tip: I have heard that they tend to get pretty booked up at the end of the month with rental leases ending and such so if you can book earlier in the month you will probably have more selection of time, although I didn't have any trouble getting an appointment myself.

In general, the Steam Team did an adequate job on the standard items in my house (e.g. the tile, carpet and wood floor). However, they ruined a large area rug that we also had them clean. They didn't remove all the moisture from the rug, so it mildewed. They did come to take the rug to be cleaned again, but have failed to return it after several weeks. Additionally, they damaged the sheet rock in our entry way with their equipment and have failed to respond to requests to repair that damage. Very disappointing.

Our dog got sick over a weekend where she vomited in a number of places. I took our dog to the vet and my wife stayed home and contacted carpet cleaners (culled from Angie's list). The Steam Team said they were booked for that day yet would try to fit us in the schedule and would call if that was possible. My wife received a call back from them in about 2 hours where they could fit us in. Tehy came at the scheduled time, surveyed the area and provided an estimate and proceeded to clean the carpet. They did not try to upsell her either.

I had purchased a big deal, but I ended up spending more, because they did more work. They were looking for additional services that they could provide, and the tile and grout cleaning looked very good, but it was somewhat expensive. They moved the furniture and all that, so the carpet looked nice. I was very happy with everything that they did.They told me the cost upfront, and they were willing to work on a combo kind of a deal, everything was laid out upfront and it was good.

Provider showed up on time, setup, did the work and left. Very good work, and quick.

They each started in a different room and vacuumed and cleaned the window treatments as requested. The kitchen area drapes had been damaged from fireplace soot and they were able to clean them thoroughly which was surprising since the drapes were white. They all look fresh and clean, and i was happy with the results. Thank you to The Steam Team!

Technician was on time; very professional and polite; did a very good job.

I was quoted full price first couch and 50% off second with estimate of $80-120 each. I was surprised that I was charged the very upper limit $120 for my small/medium sized sofas. With 50% off second sofa discount, total was $180 plus tax. The service provider, Frank, was professional and did a great job cleaning the very dirty sofas, however. I will use again.

They are on-time, professional, friendly, and got the job done with quality! I am a many-time repeat customer!

The problem: I had a beautiful 9x12 white synthetic shag rug - brand new - that my cat decided to pee on multiple times. What started out as two fairly small pee spots became a 4'x4' square of yellow-brown-tinged area due to all my cleaning approaches. Though I may have gotten all the smell out, all the various chemicals (both natural and unnatural) made it look like 40 cats had peed on it. I was devastated. This was an expensive rug. I definitely wanted to cry. The solution: In a last-ditch effort, I decided to call The Steam Team, who I had used previously to clean my sectional and comfy chair. From the customer service (I'm thinking specifically Jay here since he heard all my panic) to the actual technician Steven, I was impressed with their helpfulness and honesty. Steven did not have a lot of hope since it was a white rug, but I had him try anyway, and I'm glad I did because it worked. After hours of drying, the rug looked brand new again. Keep in mind that what helped is that the rug was only a few days old to begin with, as was the stains, which according to Steven helped the case somewhat. I can't vouch for older rugs with older stains, but all I know is that I was super happy I called them. I have since referred them to other friends and family!

I last used their service last November of 2010. I had to pay extra for additional works done.I provided me a good service but the problem I had with them is the larger part of the carpet in my bedroom was not cleaned.

The were very responsive, polite. They did a good job at removing the stains and soil, then all were treated to help remove pet odors. They were effective and the items look almost like new (which they are not).

The young guy that came out was very professional. I was impressed by the machine, it looked like a deep clean. This was the only time I have ever done this, I was impressed by the machine and how quickly it went. The machine went deeper then I could have done. I thought it was a good price. I did not have any problems.

I've used them for years, but I will not be using them because their pricing is outrageous. The staff is pleasant, but we never get the same person, which we would’ve liked.

They provided excellent service. They were on time on price. Very professional with excellent results.

It went very well. Make certain you ask for and give feedback on schedules and scheduling. I was very comfortable having their folks in my house for three + months. I gave them the option to work weekends, and they did work some. They cleaned up after themselves and even helped bring in the groceries.
