The Steam Team

I've used them a couple of times. They do a good job. I like the price. The technician was very nice. They were prompt.

It was fabulous. Everybody they send is always very polite and professional. Did a magnificent job!

I've had my carpets cleaned by The Steam Team and thought they were professional if a little pricey and tended to up-sale. While I was interested in getting my duct work cleaned and they were willing to work with me on price and Tiara was quick to answer my questions their service only cleans to 10-15 feet of the duct work. I've read that other companies do the same. I wonder how useful it is to do a partial job.

Carpet cleaning, stairs, hallway master bedroom, daughters room. Heavy stain on bottom stair (Bulldog rubs her face, yuck), on the landing urine stains (my French Bulldog thinks it's ok to pee.) Provider cleaned the carpets better then any I have gone with either Angie's big deal, Groupon, Living Social. I keep going back to steam team after several inferior providers, usually due to cost. This is the last time, the bargain $99.00 carpet cleaners are not worth it to me.

It was fine. They were on time and professional. One technician came out.

By the time Roman left, the carpet looked like new and smelled completely clean. The ducts were cleared of dust and the vents were sparkling clean. The tile and grout were gorgeous and whatever had been stuck in the dryer vent was gone. The team arrived when they said they would, worked very hard, and were careful not to damage the walls with their hoses. Roman also discovered that the HVAC system was missing an important filter, and showed me how to insert a new one. The job took most of the day, and the gentlemen were were very thoughtful and pleasant to have around. I have used the Steam Team for 9 years and have never been disappointed. This was the biggest job yet, and everything went perfectly as always.

They were very pushy, and rude. They tried to up sell me on every point, and told me that I shouldn't have wasted my money. I was very disappointed.

Regular cleaning. Provided decent work.

Two men that arrived on time. Were pleasant and courteous and pointed out other places that could be cleaned. Highly professional. Went right to work and the work was steady as well as doing a great job. I will certainly use them again.

After our cleaned carpets dried, it was apparent that some areas still did not look so good. A call in to the office had a technician right back out, at our convenience. He worked on the problem areas further and they came out pretty decent. He also explained the nature of some re-appearing dirty spots. All of the stains on my car upholstery came back shortly afterwards. Even though I called after the 10 day period had passed, they still agreed to rework the stains on the seats. Unfortunately the stains proved impossible to eliminate, possibly because we did not know what the previous owner may have spilled on them.

I was very pleased overall. The technician arrived promptly on time. He was friendly, respectful, and professional. He did a very thorough job without wasting any time. He asked me to inspect his work, and he explained what I would need to do as the carpet dried. I thought the quality of the work was very good, and I will definitely be using the Steam Team again. I have no complaints at all.

We were shocked to find that the technician, Roman, was there on time - a rarity in our experience. He was very polite, gave us good advice on what needed to be done and did a great job.

I had previously used Steam Team and this company was also recommended to me by my (new) carpet installer. Am very impressed with the professionalism and results. Call them - you won't be disappointed!

They are a large company. I have a situation with my carpet. It is about 7 years ago. I used to him a chihuahua that was house broke, but he speed up a lot, and I have these stains on my carpet, and nobody seems to be able to get them out. Our insurance company had recommended them. We had a leak in our roof, around our fireplace, which put water marks on our ceiling as it leaked through. They sent out their people, they were Indian, they took all the popcorn off my ceiling, they repainted, and they did the most beautiful job. They did a fabulous job. We had liked them so well, that I had tiles coming off my bathroom, and I had them put down sheet linoleum for the time being. They grouted the area, and the job was done right and really well. They cleaned up after themselves, they were super. They were here 9 in the morning, they stayed after 5, they took their lunch hour, and they came immediately back. They worked the whole time through. They said they would be here between 9 and 9:30 and they were here. They took all their equipment, and they cleaned the place up. I brought in a cleaning lady crew to clean the construction bit, and they dusted all my nicks and knacks, and dusted my furniture because of the sheet rock. This was the construction side, and they also have carpet cleaning. The people have always been very nice, very polite, very on time, and very clean. It is just my carpet that I have issues with. Their personnel are clean and in uniform. They don't look like they came off the street. The young men are very nice, very polite, and seem to know their business. They have a person who comes out to bid the job, and he comes out when they are doing the job, and then he comes out to do inspections. I have been very pleased, they are very professional.

They came as scheduled and did a thorough job, removing several long-term spots on our carpeting. They were responsive and pleasant to deal with.

It went well. I am happy knowing the carpets are cleaner and without pet residue before I move into the rental home. The technician was polite and professional and explained all the services the company provided. I was not interested in additional services because I am a renter an not the home owner. From the over the phone estimate of $279.00 to approximately $450.00 that included the enzyme treatments, the final cost seemed a little high. I did not shop around to find the least expensive price to clean the carpet. I went by the recommendation of my last landloard on who they prefered to clean their properties carpets.

They did their thing and it seems fine.

This is the third time we have used The Steam Team and the thoroughness of their technician, Josh, was what we have come to expect from them. They called the day before to remind us of the appointment and called again that morning to let us know Josh was on his way. He arrived a little early, took a look around to see what the job was, and got to work. We moved a couple of pieces of furniture out of the way and he got his hoses laid out and worked steadily for three hours. He spent extra time on the high traffic areas and spots and spills that had occurred since the last cleaning, starting in the back bedroom and working his way right out the door. As in the past, we are delighted with the results. We were able to open the house up and turn our ceiling fans on to help speed the drying. When the afternoon got warm, we closed up and turned on the a/c, which finished the job. The Steam Team are our go-to guys every Spring to finish off our Spring cleaning routine.

I am a property manager and regularly use The Steam Team. I've tried other companies at times when The Steam Team (only rarely) was unable to get me in for a last minute clean, and I'll tell you, their service really is superior. Pricing is fair, carpets always look brand new when they're done, I'm definitely a loyal customer.

Cleaning was just okay. We had a few dog urine spots that I wanted to improve and really wanted the house to smell cleaner than I could do on our own with a Rug Doctor from HEB. They charged extra for everything (the small bathroom was an additional full size room cost), the enzyme stuff used for the dog urine didn't work and didn't smell good. Kind of like wet dirt and unscented dish soap. Disappointing.

We were very plaesed with the end results, but there were a few hurdles that could have been handled better. We had 3 bedrooms, living room , & hallway stem cleaned. We were contacted and informed that the tech would arrive no later than 30-45 minutes. It was more like 1.25 hours before the tech arrived. I asked the tech to do the entire living room and he stated there would be an additional charge if we moved the furniture out of the room, so we moved one of the couches out of the room and into a room without carpet and moved the larger couch to an area in the living room with very low traffic. This was acceptable to me, but I didn't appreciate the "up-sell" without prior knowledge. Maybe they have stated it somewhere, but I did not notice before the services were performed, and I can't find it today. To clarify, I had no intention of moving any of the furniture in the 3 bedrooms, only the living room. There was a couch, loveseat, and recliner, totaling about 60 square feet. The tech didn't give me the 10% Angie's List discount until I noticed it wasn't on the bill. The tech said there was a spot treatment bottle that was included in the service, that he leave upon departure (we both forgot, so I will give them that). We were selling (sold as of this review) the house, so this is not a major deal, just giving a full review. The tech did not reconnect the water hose to the faucet, like it was before he started. Having said all that, the carpet looked fabulous at the end of the service. I would definitely use them again, but would hope that they address the issues I listed for future reference.

I believe The Steam Team was good. It was a while back and my wife was the one that pretty much handled it. They cleaned it and it looks great. She was happy. We had them out in probably a month or two from when we purchased the big deal.
