He arrived a few minutes earlier than his scheduled slot but was happy to wait for me to arrive. He did a great job on both the carpet and my sofas. Since I have a dog, they tend to get both dirt and hair on them, and he was very thorough to make sure he cleaned them well. They look brand new again and I couldn't be happier. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend them.

Shaun arrived ontime with short notice, went right to work and was finished in less than an hour. This was not the first time I have used The Steam Team, and it will not be the last. They do a great job...

It went very smoothly - the process is quite noisy though, and I suggest finding something to do out of the house while the cleaning is going on. One lesson that I learned from The Steam Clean crew is to use a PH Neutral cleaner on your natural stone. I had been using Fabulosa, and that is not good for the stone or the sealer.

Imagine driving up to your home and seeing water seeping out of your garage. You enter the house and try to locate the source of the water as you investigate you realize that every square inch of your home has one to two inches of water. That is what I came home to one day and I was overwhelmed. I knew I needed help and quick. I did and Internet search for water damage and The Steam Team came up. I called them and the lady that answered the phone was professional, took down my information and said someone would call me back. Within a few minutes Wes Aldridge, Restoration Manager, was calling me back and said he received the information from his dispatch and he had a crew on the way. This impressed me and it resulted in a decrease tension I was feeling. Sure enough within 30 minutes at the peak of Austin, Texas after work, rush hour traffic The Steam Team?s crew start to arrive at my home and the drying and mitigation process began. The time was about 5:45 pm. The crew demonstrated confidence and I could tell that they were experienced. I met Wes Aldridge in person and shortly after I met Brett Cooley, Construction Manager of The Steam Team. It was at this movement that both Wes and Brett informed me that they would help me through the entire restoration process. I was immediately relieved that they provided such a service. They explained that they would assist me in drying the home, a very extensive process, along with furniture care, beddings, drapes, electronic, rugs, replace all my hardwood floors, painting every interior wall, make sure cabinet bases were dry. The moved furniture and other items to my garage and made sure drying fans and dehumidifiers were in place before they left for the day that ended at 2:30am. This was to ensure the water damage was minimized and prevent the development of mold. They also provided a long list of other services but too many to list here. True to their word Wes and Brett walked me through the mitigation and reconstruction process that partly consisted of replacing, baseboard, door molding and wood floors. They also repaired the plumbing that was the cause of the water damage. Had all my electronics dried and cleaned. Dry-cleaned every item of clothing, bedding and drapes. The drying and reconstruction service resulted in a lot of dust so they also had my A/C duct worked cleaned. They sent a cleaning crew to clean tp my home and when they were done they moved my furniture back and I was back to how I was before the damaged happened. In the end they even pressure washed my driveway because it was soiled during the reconstruction. An extremely important benefit working with Wes of The Steam Team was that.he worked with my Ameriprise Insurance claims adjuster,Nicole Boesken. I am the owner of a pediatric dental office with no family to help me communicate with Ameriprise to handle the claim. I could concentrate on my practice and rest assured that Wes was looking out for me and moving the project along. They even worked on restoring my home on Saturdays. Overall my experience with The Steam Team was excellent, they were fantastic in communication and quick responses, responded immediately to my concerns and facilitated the restoration to my home. They were polite, made themselves available at any hour, confidential, and professional. I was extremely lucky that I selected them off the Internet search. I hope this testimony will put prospective Steam Team clients at ease. It was great overall. No complaints at all from the time I called to set up the appointment till completion of job. They were very prompt in calling me and setting up a suitable time for me, and they arrived on time. They also went over the process in detail before they started cleaning the carpets. I was very satisfied with Mario's professionalism.

They did a very good job. The technician was on time and very polite. He gave me an estimate and told me what to expect. The grout was returned to its original light gray color. There was one small area that wasn't as clean as the rest of the floor but I didn't want to have them come back out for such a small area. They called a few days after the service to see if I was happy. When I mentioned the area they asked if I wanted them to come back. I was very pleased and would recommend the Steam Team.

I have used Steam Steam before & am always impressed with their work. They come in & spray a spot treatment first, then the odor remover, then he cleans very slowly. The carpet is not very wet when he is done. My carpet was revitalized!

They arrived on time, were very courteous, worked quickly and efficiently, and took care not to damage walls with their equipment or track dirt or anything else through the house. Unfortunately, the carpets that they cleaned in our newly purchased home had a soapy feel after they dried and the spots that I had them work on, which were clean when they left, became dirty again fairly quickly. I don't think I'd use them again because of the products they used; they just didn't seem to come back out of the carpet. I have no complaints about the service itself; they were very prompt and careful people. **UPDATE** Since posting the review, I have been contacted by the quality control manager who has offered to redo the carpets. I really appreciate that, and although I haven't been able to take advantage of it yet due to time constraints (mine, not the Steam Team's), I'm upgrading the overall rating.

They arrived on time as promised and conducted very good work. The technition inspected the area first, pretreated the area, and steam cleaned the carpet. He was neat, took his time and the results were excellent.

Leo did a really good job. He arrived a little late, but then he did an excellent job and gave me a discount on some of my services. I was pleased with the way it all turned out.

I must admit that I am a coupon shopper so I have tried a lot of different carpet cleaning companies. However, I have found that The Steam Team has definitely been my favorite. They clean the carpets consistently well, they have a great spotter treatment that they usually give me before they leave and they have sent out clean-cut, hardworking service people. Their prices are good and I don't think I really want to use anyone else in the future -- even if I do get a good coupon for someone else in the mail!

Steven arrived right on time, looked over my carpet and got right to work. I didn't have a lot of hope, because my carpet is old and totally ready to be replaced! White berber with 2 dogs running in and out just isn't a good combo. However, when he was finished, I was really surprised and pleased. The carpet as a whole looked looked so much better, and the stains and high traffic areas were SO improved, I really couldn't believe it. I also appreciated that, while everything felt clean and fresh, there was NOT a cloud of artificial smelling freshener in the air. No complaints at all, and I will DEFINITELY use the Steam Team again! A+++ job

Ruben showed up on time and ready to work. He told me about protecting my carpets with a teflon spray and showed me an example of how it worked. For only $45, I was sold. He did a thorough job and the carpets look great. He was very friendly as well as professional. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. I will definitely be using The Steam Team in the future.

Service people were prompt, friendly and professional. The carpet looked clean for about 2 weeks then the spots returned. If this was normal I would have appreciated a forewarning from them. They also did not inform me of the loose appearance the carpet would have after they were done that would go away when it dried. I thought my carpet was ruined.

As it happened, we were 2,000 miles from home when we got a call on a Monday evening, from the neighbor who was feeding the cat and taking in the mail, that the place was flooded. I got on the web, saw that The Steam Team and several others got good ratings from Angie's list, and called them all. The Steam Team responded first, and were willing to take on the job on the strength of a phone call. I gave the team leader, Norm Arends, the codes for the garage door opener and the security alarm, and by the time we arrived home Wednesday night the house was full of industrial-strength fans (about 33 of them, in a 1700-sq-ft house) and dehumidifiers. The carpet was gone, and the furniture had been moved into the center of each room, into the living room (the only room that had escaped the flood), and into the garage. Interior doors had been stacked in the living room, each one carefully labeled with the room it came from. Everything had been handled with care, and there was just one casualty. The five shelves of one bookcase, which I had built myself, were supported by two ladder-like frames which were wedged between the floor and the ceiling. When the Steam Team tried to move the bookcase without first unloading and removing the shelves, one shelf crashed to the tile floor, shattering the glass shelf along with several of the vases and other knickknacks displayed on it. Given the unusual nature of the bookcase and the chaotic environment in which The Steam Team was working (in particular, there was no one to explain about the bookcase), the error was completely understandable. Nevertheless, Norm was highly apologetic. He asked for a list of the items that were broken, with replacement cost for each item. In many cases we could only guess about the cost, but Norm insisted on making the most generous estimates, and in due course we received a check for the full amount. The Steam Team was paid directly for the mitigation by our homeowners insurer, State Farm, so our out-of-pocket expense was $0. Before the account was settled, however, we did receive a couple of invoices from The Steam Team for $6,810.98, which is presumably what we would have paid were it not for State Farm.
