Excellent work. All done as scheduled. Only issue is that they use an out of town glass supplier which can add 2 - 3 days to the time line.

I contacted the Glass Guru of Austin and set up an appointment for an estimate on a cracked odd shaped window (curved on top and one side) and they were able to look at my house without my being there and send me an estimate. Then, because this was my first time with something like this, I asked a lot of beginner questions which they answered by e-mail. I scheduled the appointment, after all my questions were answered, to replace the glass and they called to say they had a cancellation and could come earlier which worked out well for me. The installer arrived on time and then removed and replaced the cracked window while patiently answering all sorts of questions from me. He was polite, efficient and cleaned up after his work. This was a very easy and happy experience. The installer was nice enough to take one of my window screens that had a few holes in it and fix the screen and replace it for free. It was much appreciated.

They were great. They did a great job. Their price was fair. The guy came out fairly quick. First, the guy came out and looked at the windows and told me which ones needed to be fixed. He explained to me the process. Then two guys came in in less than a week, they worked together and did a good job.

Very prompt, professional and courteous. The tech did very good work, and was counscientious of the quality. My only complaint is that I felt they were expensive for the work done. The tech was here for about an hour and a half, and the bid was for $300 for the labor only. The materials were fairly priced. The hourly rate then comes out to $200 per hour. If they would simply charge an hourly rate with a trip fee,that would be much more fair.

The employee I spoke to when I called was very hard to understand due to her accent. She apparently had difficulty understanding as well, since she asked me to repeat my information several times. She took all my information over the phone and even gave me an estimate based on the size of the glass. She said they would be in contact within a week to set up the installation. Two weeks went by and I still had not heard from them. I called again, and spoke to a gentleman this time. He asked for my address, and then told me that my house was not within his service area. I don't understand why the woman I spoke with the first time could not have told me this and saved me a lot of time spent waiting. I ended up calling another company, and got the glass replaced quickly and efficiently.

Several years ago a neighbor's son broke one of our windows with a ball. The neighbors had Glass Guru replace the window. When we needed to have some fogged windows replaced I called them for a bid. They were came and measured the windows and looked at all the windows to help me decide which ones needed to be replaced. They were fast and on time. We had several windows replaced.They worked around my schedule for the installation. I would hire them again.

Start to finish, only one word: AWESOME! Initial contact made over the Internet -- I was asked to measure the window and send pictures of the problem. From there, I was contacted, a price was quoted, and Michael was here literally the next day. He was in and out in under half an hour, and the window works better than it ever did! I have no doubt I will be calling him in the future for window and/or glass issues.

After 7 weeks I still do not have my bathroom mirrors. To make matters worse, the only contact I have with the company is when I initiate it. They assure me my product has been ordered each time I call, after several weeks, I call back and they tell me that my frames arrived damaged and they have ordered new frames. They promise to contact me when the new frames arrive. Weeks go by without contact. I call again. Imagine my surprise when they tell me the replacement frames were damaged and they have reordered them again. They promise to call me when the frames come in... It has been over two week... I guess I will call again today.

It went great. The windows are older, and are missing a couple parts, so they will be returning with the extra parts to fix a few additional windows.

I contacted the company through Angie's List. They called me within 2 days of the inquiry to schedule an appointment. They did not have any immediate appointments so I had to wait about 2 weeks. He came out on the scheduled day and took measurements and discussed some of the challenges with an older house (lead paint/egress requirements). He did mention that his crew would have to contract through the window manufactures crew because of the age of our house and they are not lead paint installation certified. He did not have any physical window samples to show, which the other people we were obtaining estimates from brought so we could see them. He said he would email the estimate shortly. I emailed him about 5 days later to inquire about the estimate because sometimes people spell my name incorrectly and it could have been lost. I never received another email or call regarding the service. Needless to say we went with a provider who provided an estimate and followed up with a call.

The Glass Guru workers were PROFESSIONALS when they showed up. They were over and hour late due to other work invoice they were working. They were scheduled for 1130 am. I had to call the company office to inform them that no one showed up during the scheduled time. The workers did show up almost immediately after my call and were apologetic and friendly. They came in and took out the old window and put in a new insulated window. The workers answered all the question. The work took about 30 minutes or less. I certainly will recommend and use them again regardless of them showing up late. We are happy with the quality of work and will need other windows replaced.

Terrible! After sending photos and measurements for mirror replacements through Angie's List, I received a call from their office. When I returned the call, I had to speak to several people before they found my communication. The receptionist/clerk talked the whole time I was trying to explain my project. Obviously she doesn't know that you should listen to the potential customer! Rude phone experience from beginning to end. Not interested in doing business with such a company.

Great experience overall with Glass Guru. From the start their customer service was top notch. I was working to get an estimate of window replacement cost and Vanessa called me back after hours to give me all the information I needed. They came out to measure windows and provide an exact quote. A week later, the install was scheduled. The installers arrived promptly when they said they would and completed the install in less time than they had estimated. Following the job the owner called to ensure I was happy with the way everything went. Great customer service and a very professional operation all around.

I contacted TGG through Angies List on April 26th. Michael responded back on April 27th and needed more information. Michael was then able to contact me on April 28th as he was in the neighborhood and was ready to stop by and do a survey for generating an estimate. Michael completed the estimate and emailed me the details on May 5th. I signed the estimate and scheduled for them to repair it on May 8th. Two gentlemen showed up on the workday promptly and were able to replace the window within 30 mins. They cleaned up all the scraps and broken glass and carted away the old frame. Simply amazing service and delivery for what other providers had told me was a long shot and difficult. Other providers were quoting me to have the door replaced, all the way to replacing the whole frenchdoor set, frame and all. It was such a relief to work with a company that knows what they are doing and has the experience to deliver. I would definitely do business with Glass Guru again

Michael came out and looked over the window to see if it could be repaired. The window separator had rusted so it needed to be replaced. Joshua ( the tech) showed up on the appointment day promptly and did his work professionally. It didn't take very long and he cleaned up and left my kitchen as he found it. I appreciated the professional manner of the service given and will use them again

I called Glass Guru about replacing broken window panes. Michael showed up at the appointed time and surveyed the windows. He said he had not seen that brand of window before and would have to do a little research on how the clips functioned, but said he would call me in a couple of days. A week later he still had not called. I phoned his office and they said they would have Michael , who is the owner, get back with me. I never heard a word from anyone. I called Arrow glass, who came out the next day and did a fabulous job of fixing everything. Glass Guru is unreliable.

All went well. Keep track on your own of which windows are being replaced to make it easier to verify if not all of your windows are being replaced.

Called after hours on Thursday and received a callback on Friday morning. I was asked the dimensions of the glass to be replaced and was told that someone would be in touch with me regarding an estimate of the cost. I told them I had already scheduled another glass company that was coming out on Tuesday, but if they could be here Monday I would cancel the other appointment. I did not hear from them again until they called this morning (Tuesday) while Binswanger glass was here replacing the window. I told them that someone else was already doing the job and they said that they had called because they could get out today to do the replacement. Then they hung up - no apology, nothing.

I called for an appointment for someone to come out and estimate four custom glass tops, plus an estimate for glass window and door replacements and scratch repair on a table and windows. It did not occur. Although the person answering the phone wanted me to give the table dimensions for a phone estimate. I thought it was troubling. How can one give an estimate for a custom top where a template is required? Do costs change with edge finishing and quality of product? How can I determine the cause and estimate of a broken seal on large windows and doors? How can an estimate be worthwhile without an onsite inspection? Not really a guru, IMO.

The service techs were all great. They measured properly, arrived on time, were professional, and even came out during an ice storm to measure and were on time. However, the admin who answers the phone and emails is disorganized, is non-responsive, forgot one part of our order, and did not follow up well. The customer service based on the admin who answers the phones and takes care of the invoices gets an F in our opinion.

The estimator came on time and quoted me a price for 1 window. I thought I had 3 windows that were bad but he said no it was just one. The other 2 just needed cleaning on the outside since a drain on the roof was causing the window to look foggy. I ordered the window and within a week the work was done quickly and to my satisfaction.

Excellent work. From the quoting through the installation and clean up Glass Gurus did an outstanding job. The price was very competitive and their quality was excellent. I highly recommend their work.

Glassguru was contracted to install warranty replacement windows which were supplied by the window manufacturer. The owner came over to measure the window sizes. Two out three windows had wrong measurement and the replacement windows did not fit with the window frame. The owner did not take initiative to contact the window manufacturer to order the replacement window again. After waiting for 4 weeks, I had to contact the window manufacturer to explain what went wrong and begged for free warranty replacement windows again. Luckily, the window manufacturer was willing to provide replacement windows again. It took 6 weeks to resolve the issue. During the 6 weeks period, the owner avoided talking to me directly and all phone calls were through the admin people. When asked for any evidence (such as email) for their effort to contact the window manufacturer, they could not provide any. I will give F for customer responsiveness, F for the measurement quality, F for owner's professionalism. The installation crew was professional and on time. They knew what they are doing and the measurement provided by the crew was correct for the second order. I will give A for the installation crew. Overall, I will not use Windowguru again.
