They were able to recover the documents & photos but after approx. 4.5 hours they gave up on the printer problem. They billed me for 2 hours at $95 per hour. The tech told me he would be available by email to help with some issues he wanted me to do but never returned my email. The owner of the company did contact me to offer further services that he thought I should use but I told him I could not afford to pay him any more after paying $190 and not getting my issues resolved and I never heard back from any of them. Bottom line is that I was able to get someone else resolve the problems in a very short time.

So far so good, but we've pretty much decided that Critical Update may be a bit more expensive than our previous tech support guy, but we are definitely getting our money's worth! We are planning to continue using Critical Update for our office tech support as needed.

It required two consultants and a bit more time than I expected. I was very pleased with their commitment to identifying and solving the problem. They were very professional, positive and persistent in working with me.

Person assigned to me attived on time. Was efficient in identifying the problems and fixing. Took time to discuss options with me and educate me on next steps. Price was very reasonable.

Our interaction with this firm went extremely well. After reading their reviews on Angieslist, I contacted them on Thursday about noon. After describing the problem, I was told that a technician might be available that afternoon, but if not, the next morning. The technician called the next morning about 10 AM, while I was away, but when I returned his call about noon, he was able to come right out to the house. When he called, he apologized for not being able to come the previous afternoon, as he had been delayed longer than expected on a server problem. He was extremely well-spoken, polite, and professional, and got right about the business of fixing our problem. He was very good about explaining what he was doing and why it was necessary, in the process giving us lots of information about how to make more effective use of our machine. Even with all the time spent answering our questions, he finished the entire job in less than two hours. Our machine is now functioning like new!

The service consultant was on time, gave great service and knew exactly how to fix everything. I was also very impressed with the consultant's attitude as it was evident that he genuinely wanted to help and offered extra advice and tips. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this company.

My work computer turned into a slug over a couple of days time. Family and friends gave me advise on how to fix it. I realized my hard drive filled itself up but I couldn't find any indication that it did. After several frustrating hours, like 20, I gave up and I called for help. The Owner of Critical Update listened to my problem over the phone an sent out a person within two hours. Jeremy methodically went through the files on the hard drive checking their size and determined that Bit Defender must have imploded onto itself and duplicated everything on my hard drive over and over. This could have been to an incorrect installation of the software by yours truely. He downloaded the uninstallation program and deleted the huge block of duplicate files. That alone took over 40 minutes. Meanwhile he had some trouble with his own software trying to troubleshoot the problem and did not bill me for that time or the time to delete the file being it was going to take forever. I learned a lot picking his brain while we just stared at the progress bar. I will hire them again if I get into a jam.

I had another computer repair guy "fix" the computers and he charged me $400 for 4 hours. I thought that after he left, the computers would be running normal and that was not the case. Two days later we began to have the same problems. When I called him to come and fix what he had already "fixed: he explained to me that he was going to have to take the computer with him and start over from scratch and bill me for 6 hours at a $100.00 per hour rate, thats when I called Luis. Luis talked to me over the phone during the whole procedure. After explaining to him the problem, he assured me they would get fixed. He carefully explained to me his procedures and who would be calling me to schedule a date and time for the repair. Robert shortly after called me to schedule the appointment. When I spoke with Robert it was clear that Luis and Robert had shared ideas and communicated about what I needed fixed. Robert gave me the date and time he would be at my house and he showed up as promised. Robert surpassed my expectations on his customer service skills, his computer knowledge, his professionalism, and his attitude to fix the un-repairable. He spent more time at our home to fix our computers than what he billed me for, and then he came out two more trips to make sure everything was fixed at no extra cost. At that time is was very clear to me that The Critical Update truly cared about their customers, and was committed to excellence. Needless to say, If you want your computer fixed correctly, call them!

I had messed around with my computer settings trying to allow a site that I had not been able to access. The computer was not working very well when I got through. Robert analyzed the situation and made the necessary repairs. My computer is working better than it was when I purchased it a few months ago!!

He found that the plastic heat sink housing was broken, leading to overheating of the processor. Once I fixed that, the computer was fine.

We called and left a message for the owner, Luis Delgado, who routed the request to a technician. The tech called us and set up a time for the next day. Completed the work in less than an hour, possibly less than 1/2 hour.

Exceeded my expectations. Jeremy was bright, articulate, pleasant, professional, punctual and a terrific value. We ran into many problems which he evaluated and resolved expertly. I got a huge amount of piece of mind for the cost.

I was thrilled with the fact that this gentleman was willing to fix my problem on the phone rather than require a home visit so he could charge more. The phone rang a long time before being answered and at first I had a hard time understanding the gentleman but he was very knowledgeable and obviously not "money hungry". When I asked how much I owed him he said "Just tell 3 other people about me". Such a pleasant surprise in today's world!!

I called Critical Update and talked to Luis Delgado and he told me he would have a tech there the next day. He said it would cost $85 an hour and shouldn't take more than an hour. His tech Jeremy called me that night to set up a time for the next day and was there promptly as scheduled. He was courteous and professional and able to get my drives installed in less than an hour. I would definitely hire them again!

I was pleased with their rapid response to my phone call, their timely repair and their extra advice about the repair. I think the pricing for the work completed was fair.

He talked to me for 15 minutes for free and really helped me out. He was just fabulous!
