Rudy's Painting & Drywall

A custom paint job performed for very good price. Was able to texturize all the holes so it looked perfect.

He was nice and everything. We decided to do the work. He came by a couple of times, he had my address and did not have my phone number which is weird. He was reasonable and very nice.

This is the second time I have had Rudy paint my home. The first time he painted my kitchen cabinets, and they turned out great and still look good! I have just moved into a new house and every wall and ceiling in every single room was painted one ugly color. I had the all ceilings painted white, two wall colors in the Living room - kitchen area, plus five other colors in all of the other rooms. He had three of his guys do the painting, they were all very professional and courteous and arrived at 9am each morning. I do not have crown molding so they had to get the lines straight in the wall/ceiling corners, and they did that perfectly. It took four days to complete the job. Each day they cleaned up and put all of their stuff in one spot. When they finished today they cleaned up all of the mess and put the left over paint on a piece of plastic and swept up the debris on the floor. Rudy is super nice and easy to work with. I will certainly call him anytime I have painting done!!!

**Updated review - Well, in hindsight Rudy's work was a temporary bandaid too. Within two months some the exact same cracks reappeared. I emailed Rudy and included pictures so he could see the problems, and his response was 'No warranty'. He did say some of the cracks might come back over time, however, my definition of over time is not two months. For a price tag of almost 2K, I expect work to last longer than a few weeks. This is an extreme disappointment. I would no longer recommend Rudy's Drywall Repair. Original review- We had cracks throughout our entire home due to repairing the foundation. Of the two estimates we had for the job, Rudy's was twice as much. This may sound like a bad thing, but once he described what needed to be done to actually repair the problem, as opposed to just putting patches on the cracks, we realized if we went with the other company we would have cracks again within a few months. Ultimately the first bid was just a bandaid, whereas Rudy's was very comprehensive, and he offered up solutions to our problems. The job took four days to complete, and Rudy's crew was great - professional, polite and great work. Rudy was present to oversee the job.

Rudy and his small team did a marvelous job at my home. They are very skilled, clean, and hardworking. I am retired and was home during a lot of the work, but also out of town for some of it. I never felt uncomfortable having these gentlemen present in and around my home. I would never use any other company for this type of work! Wonderful experience and great results!!!

Rudy responded immediately to my call and met to review the work and provide an estimate. I received the estimate on a Tuesday and Rudy's ment started work the following Monday. Rudy's crews were very professional. Floors were covered with paper/plastic in the areas they were working. Furnishings were covered with plastic. Everyone arrived on time each morning and each afternoon the area was cleaned and supplies tools put away, (the project spanned 3 days) The drywall work was done as expected. Drywall edges were secured in place with screws, fiberglass mesh tape was applied, cracks were repaired & texture was matched to blend with existing wall / ceiling texture. I supplied remnants of the original paint from the walls / ceiling, so matching paint was not a problem. I also supplied primer paint that was used by both the drywall/texture person and the painters. Rudy and his team were skilled professionals who knew their craft. I knew enough about the process to feel comfortable to assess the 3 proposals I received, however, Rudy's craftsmen went beyond what I expected to insure that the repairs blended perfectly with the paint and texture of the surrounding areas. There was no payment made until after the work was complete. I was responsible for paint and Rudy included all additional supplies and materials in his bid. The only area for improvement (which is why gave professionalism a B rather than an A) was that Rudy didn't provide a written estimate for the work. However, i put together a scope of work, as I understood it from our conversation, and emailed it to him. Rudy made a couple of small revisions and we quickly had a written understanding of the work and who would be responsible for what.

Rudy came over the day after initial call to give an estimate. He was very helpful and gave us suggestions on possible solutions to problems. Jorge, his drywall guy, was excellent at his job, punctual and friendly. He showed up when he said he would and worked the entire day with only a short break for lunch. Rudy came to check on his progress every day. What a difference from other contractors we've hired. If you need drywall work, CALL THESE GUYS! (We did not use their painting services. Unable to comment on.)

I could not be more please with the work that was provided. I had almost 30 linear feet of cracks to repair and Jorge was able to repair them all and re-texture the same day. If the new texture was not a different color than the reset of the ceiling, you could not even tell that it was repaired. I would definitely use these guys again.

They came and gave an estimate. They scheduled the work for a few days later. The workman was on time. He completed his work efficiently and it looks great.

We had another contractor make this same repair a couple of weeks ago, but it was a very subpar job, and the patch was very visible. We are about to put the house on the market, so everything needs to be as near perfect as possible. So we contacted Rudy who came out to take a look and gave us an estimate. No paperwork, just his word, which turned out to be just as good Rudy told us to expect Jorge around 9:30 on the day of the repair work. He showed up at 9:20 and got right to work. One hour later, the patch was done, and the texturing matched nearly perfectly (we've been told this is a hard texture to match). After the texture dries, we will prime and paint it ourselves, no problem, though I'm sure Rudy would have had that done for us too, if we had needed him to. Jorge is a miracle-worker with texturing. This flaw in the ceiling has been an eyesore for years, and we are SO thankful it looks good again...just sorry we didn't call on Rudy and Jorge sooner. We'll be needing some help painting the new house, and Rudy's number is in my phone contact list...he'll be the first one we call.

Rudy is the absolute best of the best. He showed up at the exact time we talked about. After showing him what I wanted, he clearly explained all my options with the project. He also outlined what he thought would be best for getting the house looking good again. I am so glad he did, this house is looking brand new. Really, it looks better than the day I purchased it. Before hiring Rudy I had parts of my wall that I had to rip out to fix a pipe and now I can't tell what?s new drywall and what was already there, it looks so perfect. His team is all top notch and treated my house and family with the upmost respect. They are all true professionals. Did great work and even answered any questions I had while they were doing the job. His pricing was the great and the best offer I was given. I cannot believe I have finally found a true craftsman that I can count on to get the job done correct the first time. I am a VERY picky man and tough to please. But I cannot express how happy I am with Rudy?s work and how thankfully I am that I hire Rudy. Rudy's crew repaired texture to two large areas that had been repaired due to water damage. The work done was flawless. You could not tell there was ever any damage. They also painted the entire interior of my house including all baseboards and door frames. Crew was friendly, hard working, respectful and very clean. I plan on using Rudy and his crew again and will most diffidently recommend them.

Perfect! I have known Rudy for almost 15+ years. He is outstanding! His painting crew takes their time and are very meticulous. They provide the highest quality work- near perfect lines everywhere. Plus, he can do sheetrock and carpentry.

It went very well though initially there was some confusion around the start as a result of him doing similar work for my neighbor, two doors down. The team was polite, friendly and neat. The quality of the work was excellent - Jorge was very concerned that the final repair show no evidence that there was a repair at all. He was very successful - you can't tell there was ever any work done on that ceiling. It looks great. It took one day to repair and texture and dry and then half a day to paint. It was a team of two and they were both very nice to work with.

I called Rudy to request an estimate and he called me back before end of day. We scheduled a time for an estimate. He was there as promised. We called him back to schedule the work and, again, he called back before the end of the day. His team was on time, did their work and finished the same day. I won't say this was his most difficult or laborious task, but it went great which is what every customer wants. They had to remove old wall paper, scrape and fill holes, and texture all of the walls. I would recommend Rudy and his team to anyone needing his skills.
