I was very happy with this company and installer. They arrived on time, were very courteous and professional and I LOVE my windows. They worked hard, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend them!

We decided to invite several companies that could replace our windows to provide a quote. Even though their quote was the highest, we selected Renewal by Andersen (RA) due to their reputation. Our experience however, was very different than their videos and brochures depicting years of experience, customer focus, reliable warranty and a seamless/stress-free installation process. After we signed a contract, the customer-focus and any sense of integrity essentially ended. It began by an unresponsive sales representative, not being kept informed of the results of the technical measure, not being notified when/if the windows had been ordered, when the installation was planned to occur, and what we needed to do to prepare for the installation day. The disorganization/communication issues continued when we received instructions via text (less than 2d prior to installation) of how we needed to prepare our home for installation including labor intensive activities such as: moving all furniture at least 7ft away from all windows, removing all art from walls, removing/covering all children’s toys, turning off air conditioning, arranging for our son and myself to stay at an alternative location while the work was being done, etc. Our home was built in the 1950’s and therefore likely has lead based paint; these requirements are related to lead safe work practices. These activities took quite a bit of effort. The installers arrived 2hrs prior to the agreed upon time, they had not read our work order, did not arrive with the needed materials nor were they aware of the existence of lead based paint or how to implement the lead safe work practices that RA spent so much time selling us. Once the new front window was placed, it became apparent that the window was the incorrect size and style/trim. We were not given the opportunity to review the technical measurements nor review the order submitted for manufacture which would have likely led to a much earlier identification of this problem. At this point we tried to call our sales representative (no response) and the 1-800 where we were told that we would have to wait until Monday before we could talk with someone who could help. We then asked the installers to put our house back together, they put up enough exterior trim so at least you can no longer see outside around our windows. After leaving multiple messages, later that day a production manager and a general manager called us back. A production manager came by observed the state our house was left in, attempted to understand what we were sold verses what we received and committed to get back to us in a couple days with what was going to do to resolve this situation. We waited to hear a response, but did not hear back, not even that he was still working on finding the best solution. We called at the end of that week and requested a full refund and compensation to perform the repairs due to the state that our home was left in. He agreed to provide a full refund and $1K in compensation in the form of a check. We made it very clear that a refund to our credit card was not an acceptable solution. We received an email with receipts that the refund had been issued to our credit cards, exactly the opposite of what we had agreed upon. We called the production manager who stated they he could not issue the check we requested, if he had called us to discuss this situation prior to issuing the refund, this may have been better received. We contacted the general manager, who proceeded to tell us that the refund had been issued; the commitment to issue a refund in the form of a check was not in writing that our conversation was over and hung up the phone. He was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. We notified the CEO of RA of this experience and received no response, which tells us that apparently this approach (hanging up during a conversation with a customer) is acceptable all the up to the top tier of leadership.

It went great! Our installer, Jody Smith, did a super job. He went above and beyond to do a perfect install. When he finished every thing was caulked in and outside, painted and clean. I am very happy with the service and the product.

The replacement team, led by Taz, was prompt, courteous, and professional. He cleaned up after the work was done, and the finished product was very attractive. We are extremely pleased with Renewal by Andersen of Austin.

We have used Renewal by Andersen for window replacement before. Always a good choice in our estimation. Today, our sliding glass door leading from family room to deck was replaced by Steve McBeth and his crew. They did a splendid job and we highly recommend them as a unit: Steve, Jon, and Quinten.

We have been extremely pleased with their products and installation work and any follow-up required. Our windows have made a huge difference in our home, both in appearance and energy efficiency. We have two large casement windows that have had to be adjusted over the years, but Renewal by Anderson never fails to come out when we call to take care of them to our satisfaction with absolutely no hassles. We recently had the last two windows in our house replaced by them, so obviously we have been well pleased.

The sales consultant, Debbie Amsen, thoroughly explained the history of Renewal by Andersen, the construction of the windows, the warranty, and provided a demonstration of how the windows operate. She answered all questions to our satisfaction, and applied no pressure on the sale. The cost of the windows is very high, but we're counting on not needing to replace them for at least 20 years which is the length of the warranty. Kyle Freeman and his employee Joe performed an excellent job installing the windows and sills, and made sure that all workmanship was of the utmost quality. They were prompt, friendly, and cleaned up any messes they made. We noticed a difference in the house right away from day 1 as far as reduction of outside noise and windows not rattling when it's windy. These new windows are such high quality in looks and construction that it feels like we have a brand new home. Kyle and Joe performed a 5-star service.

The install did not go as advertised but they did fine on the finish. Management at that time was non-responsive but subsequent management has apologized extensively. Representative came in November and then scheduled for January. 2 person crew arrived this am...removed ole casement windows, picture window, from family room and replaced/installed new large window in living room. Caulked and demonstrated functions of windows. cleaned up all materials both inside and outside the house. Came about 8:30 am and was finished by 4 pm. Excellent service and beautiful energy efficient windows.

They did a good job cleaning up. Only glitch was they missed filling several nail holes with caulk. Company volunteered to come and do that. I opted to do it myself and they provided the proper colored caulk for the job. Their prices are higher than others, but you get very high quality windows and excellent work.

First replacement: 6 windows in my home office several years ago. Cost ~$10,000. Skirmish with the installers, who refused to put the blinds back up, even though the salesman and the measure tech had said that was part of the job. Bonus: glass laid out on the grass in July, resulting in dead grass. Second replacement: a special order window for the library. First one arrived broken. They discovered that in their warehouse, and did inform me. Second window arrives and is installed. Significant finish issues with the trim, noted both by me and the install crew. Technician shows up weeks later and has no idea what has to be done. I suggested he contact his boss for further information. Third replacement: 8 windows, total cost about $14,000, including two "special" design windows for the dining room. Amazingly, the measure tech is the one who noticed that these would have to be special windows to be consistent with the window in the library -- the salesman never mentioned this issue to me. After not hearing from the company for more than 4 months after the order (and deposit) was placed, I called them. They had been calling the wrong number...and apparently never wondered why I never answered or responded. New windows installed, not real issues there, minimal damage to the house (e.g., nicked paint in newly remodeled bathroom). But, again, a massive failure of "customer service." Things still aren't completely fixed...but there are no major issues outstanding. These are very expensive windows and they are doing the job for me, but the customer experience leaves an awful lot to be desired. For the remaining windows on the house, I will be asking their competition to bid. I may or may not go back to Andersen...but there isn't a spot for "maybe" in the question about future use.

Initial inquiry: The process was efficient. I sent an email and was called back promptly to set up an appointment with the sales consultant. Sales: David was prompt and professional and conveniently made an appt. on the weekend. He also brought samples which he used to demonstrate the product. It was the demonstration that sold me. Follow-up: All visits were made at my convenience. Michael (the measurement technician) was helpful and quite informative about the process. He presented me with a written process which Renewal by Andersen followed to the letter (no surprises) Installation: The team was on time. They were professional and extremely polite. I was greeted by the team leader who introduced the entire team. When another job ended early and second team was sent to work on my job and this decreased the installation by one day. They left all of the areas as clean as they found them. Tom and his team did an outstanding job. The City of Austin permitting process went smoothly and the Renewal by Andersen staff provided me with all of the materials I needed. Overall: Renewal by Andersen is an outstanding window replacement contractor that I would highly recommend.

This was the most painless work I've ever had done to/in my house ever! When I called Renewal Todd Chambers came out either that day or the next and spent alot of time with me explaining everything and answered all my many questions. Everything he said they would do , they did and it went flawlessly. They even text me when my order had been placed. When my order arrived they called to set up the day of installation which was today 12/16/15. They sent me a text on the 12/14/15 reminding me of the installation then I got another text this morning at 7:38 am saying the installation team would be here today at the scheduled time, and they were. Shea Dunlap and his team were fantastic and worked until the job was done. The 3 guys were all nice, friendly, and very respectful and did a great job. I would NOT hesitate to call Renewal by Andersen again or give them as a referral and I would certainly tell them to ask for Shea and his guys to do the job. I am sorry that I do not remember the gentleman's name who came out to do the measuring but he also was great. I could have gone with another company who would have done it cheaper but I wanted people who used good products and know what they are doing and do it right the first time and the product to last. Calling Renewal by Andersen is a no brainer!!!

The sales, crew leaders, and installers know what they are doing. They were also very careful in protecting the electrical pieces for the security system. They were also very conscious of some unsafe and inappropriate wiring around the second floor door, and secured an electrician to make it correct and safe. This is the second install, the first two years ago when five windows were put in on that same side. The windows that have been in place for 2 years have been excellent, and they are exposed to the Texas heat and sun. The bigger problem is the manufacturing plant. On one of the large sections-- the windows were wrong though the order was right. That was a 4 ft high x 9 foot wide three piece section. The entire piece had to be replaced. The plant DID up the turn around time and I believe we waited 3 weeks instead of 2-3 months. We did this order a bit warily. A dear friend of ours in Forest Creek had a door come in that was about 3 inches or so too small. Again-- the blasted plant. It appears that nothing is done electronically in back office processes. So, each time someone enters in some new info, an error can be made. This is costly for the business, and for us, the consumer, when rework-- expensive rework-- has to be done. The second issue is that the correct parts were not shipped, so we are still waiting for screens for the french doors. THis is the second time this order has had incorrect or missing parts. Going forward, we have some other work to be done in less critical heat/temperature areas. While we should be able to get the same type of grills and framing coloring, the need for this type of material may be less necessary. These east and north facing windows are also not located near the south facing windows. We will go out for competitive bid the next go-round given the nature of the placement of the next set of windows, french doors, and sliding glass doors. I rated punctuality lower to reflect the rework that had to be done. It does NOT reflect the capacity of the Austin staff. There should be a question about the "completeness" or "correctness" of the order in the above survey question as it reflects others in the chain-- not just the local shop.

Did it all in a 1&1/2 days. Cleaned up more areas than work sites. Demoed all features of new windows. Left large quantity of special window cleaner.

The 90 minute product overview, analysis, and quote scheduled for 90 minutes was actually close to 3 hours. The windows from a functionality, appearance, and quality standpoint look very goof, definitely want them, but, the high price was shocking. Our house has a total of 26 windows, most single hung, with three circle tops, the initial quote of $75000 is roughly $2800/window, with discounts (have to buy today to get) it is reduced to $60000 or roughly $2300/window. Additionally if you pay cash another 11% discount brings the price to $53102 or roughly $2040/window. Sales representative said the pre-discount price was good for one year, but, would not give a written quote. Overall I would say while impressed by the product, I was floored by the cost, my neighborhood would not support such an investment in terms of resale value. Also given that the sales representative would not give any pricing in writing I decided to provide the cost details I noted, during the discussion, for others to have if considering Renewal By Andersen before hand, and not have to waste time, as I had to, for a product that was way out of my price range.

Renewal by Andersen did a great job for me. I needed to replace vinyl windows that were about 14 years old. The vinyl had cracked and the double pane seals had degraded so that several windows were clouded. I spent a couple of weeks doing research and getting bids. Renewal by Andersen certainly wasn?t the cheapest. However, their windows are fabulous! Their salesman reviewed the job, took measurements, talked with me about what I wanted and explained the options. He also provided photos and contact information for the foreman and office team that would be supporting my installation. They kept me informed about the production schedule to let me know when to expect them to call to schedule the installation. Renewal by Andersen let me pick the date of installation once they knew when my windows would be ready. The installation team arrived on time. They had asked me to move items from windowsills and move furniture back at least 6 feet from the windows prior to their arrival. So, upon arrival, they introduced the team to me then got straight to work covering the floors and areas close to the current windows with tarps before taking out the old windows. They were courteous and efficient. They even replaced siding by one window where we discovered acrobat ants had invaded the area around that window. They had estimated the job to take a day to a day and a half. The crew stayed until almost 6 pm and finished the job in one day. I was a bit put off by the fact that they wanted to meet with both me and my husband until they found out that my name is the only one on the deed. I do all of the property maintenance myself and both my husband and I would have thought it strange for them to insist he participate.I was also somewhat put off by the "sign today" deal. If I hadn't already done my research and was prepared to make a decision, I don't think I would have gone back to them for the "anytime" price.

We really liked the product. When you do all of your windows, there are always a lot of things that can come up during the process. Sometimes some things came in and they were just wrong and we had to wait a little bit longer to get the right thing in. It wasn't their fault here, it was that we actually goofed up on a couple of things. These were full replacements. They took out the old windows, and replaced them with their high end type windows. We love them, they're really great. They did an incredible job.

There wasn't any punch list, they just did the work and we were done.

We worked with Ryan and everything went exactly as promised. The installers were on time and got the work done in a day. City inspection went smoothly as everything was all ready to go. My husband and I are both pleased with the entire job. Thanks!
