Renewal by Andersen of Austin

It went great; right up until the moment it didn't. The windows were ordered and came in ahead of schedule which was awesome. On the first day of installation, however, the contractor discovered two of the windows were mismanufactured and would need to be reordered. To the best of my knowledge the reorder has been placed, but I have two untrimmed, unfinished windows installed in our guest room which is supposed to receive visitors on Friday and despite 6 phone calls, no one at Renewal has returned my call or done anything to address my concern - no apology about the mismanufacturing, no information about expediting the order, no offer to absorb some measure of the cost of those units as a consideration for the inconvenience, nothing. I'm livid that I paid for a premium product and as soon as it didn't go 100% to plan they've disappeared and offered no support. For a premium brand this level of disregard is entirely unacceptable.

From start to finish they were working to make me the customer happy.We love the new look that this adds to the house.And the added value to the house if we sale.

Arrived on time to perform work over 2 1/2 day period. Consummate professionalism with excellent attention to detail.

The workers were not informed of the "extra" promised "favors" by Sales Consultant Greg Jones of Glenview, IL.to get the job. Greg said "he" would be on site while work was being done explaining to the workers as to what all to do. Greg lied, he never showed up throughout the entire project. Workers had not been informed of what he threw in the deal. Greg Jones would not answer calls from me. Greg Jones about the matter either. Greg Jones is a liar, as well as, a high pressured sales person.

Our old, aluminum, single-pane windows were in dire need of replacement. From the initial sit down, Kim made us know we were making the right decision, and never pressured us. She even went out of her way to work with her manager at that meeting to come up with some creative strategies around a few problematic windows. We decided to replace all at once, and get it out of the way. Our window install was scheduled for 5/18, but we were unfortunately notified not everything made it on the truck. Given that this was during a pandemic, it wasn't surprising and I appreciated the update. We rescheduled for 6/4. The morning of June 4th comes around and I promptly get a call from Dominic and his crew that they are headed my way. I wasn't at the house at the time, but he courteously noted it wasn't a problem and they had unloading to keep them busy for a bit. They got started right away and were professional and friendly for the two days they were here installing. Our two dogs were even ready to leave with them when they were done :) There were two items that didn't arrive quite right, but I appreciate that they do extra quality checks onsite to make sure the best product possible is being installed. They cleaned up well when they left, and communicated one last team would be here Monday to finish the drywall and paint work. Sure enough, Randy and Dustin called early and let me know they were on their way to wrap it up! Same great service from these guys too :) The windows. O,h the windows are AMAZING. We had one room that would be over 90 this spring by 11am, even with the AC in the house at 72. It's now the coldest room in the house, even with yesterday getting up to 98. We chose black frames and they updated the 1993 house overnight, we love them! Overall, I've been very impressed with Renewal by Anderson. I highly recommend them and their product, and performance wise, you just can't beat Dominic and his install team!!

On the home page of Renewal by Andersen/Austin's website it says, "Our excellence in service and product quality set us apart from other window replacement companies. " Ha! It also says, "Most dealer installations take 5 minutes per window, making installation quick and seamless during any kind of weather." Ha! We ordered six windows in Oct 2019. Paid half down at that time. The windows were supposed to be installed in mid-December. They arrived in January. Unfortunately, they did NOT FIT. Every window was an inch too small. Also, in removing the old windows, they damaged them such that the new, too-small windows had to remain in place. They had to fill in around the edges with some kind of foam to a) keep them in place and b) make sure they didn't leak in the interim. In addition, they didn't put down any plastic/paper on my floors and made a mess. To top it off, one of the men who came to do the installation that day had some type of stomach flu. He made five trips to our bathroom that day - each time spending quite a bit of time in there. My husband caught the guy's stomach flu! Attached is a picture showing the foam and a small piece of wood used to hold the too-small windows in place. OK - so they re-measured the windows and returned in February to install the correct windows. Problem: Only ONE of the new windows was the correct model. The others were all a less expensive model/type! Now they say they'll be back in March to once again install the windows. I've requested a discount due to the inconvenience, length of time, and absolute unprofessional manner in which this purchase and installation has been handled. So far, they are refusing any discount. I expected more from a company which is supposed to be the premiere window provider in the nation. Next time I'll go with Pella.

We love the new doors. The installers, Kyle and his crew (Alex and Evan), were professional and thorough. They painted all the trim, inside and out, and cleaned up the job site when they were done. I would use them again.

Kyle and his crew replaced 11 windows. They were efficient, professional, courteous, tidy, and friendly.

I was very wonderfully pleased when Taz and Jody came to replace all my windows with Renewal by Anderson windows. Taz and Jody worked well together, focused on the job at hand while, at the same time, being very pleasant to interact with. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my windows AND knowing that reliable and capable people, Taz and Jody, did the installation.

Shea and his crew did a great job. The main work was completed in a day so everything was functional, with expected touch ups had to be done later. They were professional, friendly and clearly experienced. Before leaving, they made sure I was happy with the install and stayed to make a few minor corrections with the latching mechanisms. Renewal is definitely on the high side price wise, but the quality does reflect the price.

not good, windows came in on time, scheduled time and date to install. installers were 5 hrs late, got all windows is and caulk all windows that were installed that day. came back finished up last windows and caulked. one window re ordered wrong size 30 days later came in, still have not finished putting molding on bay windows, 9 WEEKS NOW. suppose to be here may 4th to finish. 11 WEEKS NOW. No communication between me and installers or salesman or supervisor, or production I had to call all the time to have them finish, will see?

The replacement went very well. Shea and his assistant Austin were fast, courteous, professional, and very competent. They protected my carpet and even avoided trampling on the irises in the flower beds outside the windows they had to replace: I really appreciated their attention to that. Everything was cleaned up well when they were done. My only hesitation about Renewal by Andersen is that the cost is pretty high, but the quality of service and product are excellent; it was worth it to me.

Very pleased with Kimberly, sales rep. Windows arrived on time and as described. Taz, installer and his helper, were very accommodating, respected our home, and they cleaned up after each window and at the end of the day.

Although Renewal By Andersen windows are rather pricey, the quality is excellent and the service superb. Taz Todd was professional, friendly and did a great job installing the window and explaining everything to me.

Jody and his assistance did an excellent job. During his performance, he briefed me on every detail on what and why he does the work to answer any question and eliminate all doubts. He was patience and courteous. The job took approximately eight hours to complete. He completed the difficult labor in the 90-degree weather without any aggression. After completion, Jody reviewed his work, cleaned up the area and the windows. Job well done!

From the Sales Rep Mr McDuffle, and Measurement Professional to the Installation by Todd Kabel and the Installation Crew the experience was friendly, professional and well done and we give them 5 stars. We recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone looking for a job well done with quality materials and pleasing results.

The salesman specified what the Anderson Windows were designed to do and he did a great job of demonstrating in our home living room what we could expect with the custom designed windows. The work crew arrived 2 months later after the windows had been manufactured. In two days they drilled, chiseled and hammered out our old windows. The original windows had been securely mortared in by our home contractor when we built this house 18 years ago - it was quite a project to remove them. The Manager was outstanding, along with his crew. Due to a miscommunication with the office scheduler on when to start, they arrived one day later but completed the job on the 4th of July. The replaced windows are incredible. We have already seen a drop in the time our air conditioner runs to cool the house. The back rooms of our home are cooler than they have ever been. The new picture window improved the lighting in the den and is remarkable. One of the most noticeable difference is the soundproofing the windows provide. Cars passing by in the street are barely discernible, and kids across the street playing basketball in their driveway are silent. The three windows replaced by the large picture window were all interconnected as one unit. The Results were spectacular as the new picture window allowed more daylight into our den while it was more energy efficient. We have been very impressed with the windows and the professionalism of the Anderson employees.

From the beginning throughout the entire job the service was excellent. The sales person took the time to answer all of my questions and show the product to be installed. The installer was great, very professional in every detail. He spent time showing me once again how the windows operate. I have no problem in recommending Anderson's to anyone wishing to redo their windows in their homes. They replaced 13 windows in our home and completed the trim around the windows to match the house trim colors.

DO NOT USE Renewal By Andersen!! It took them 2 years to complete a job that was supposed to be done in about 3 months. There is total incompetence throughout the company. They mis-measured several windows and had to return one of the large windows that was over 12 inches too short to fit the hole. They fabricated the wrong type of double hung window for one of the windows in a wall of windows (ie 60/40 split, instead received one of the windows with a 50/50 split). They had to replace (and re fabricate) one window 3 different times due to manufacturer defects. Their office staff is totally incompetent. They would schedule appointments with us for various tasks and neglect to inform their workers and we literally had 6 no-shows after rearranging our schedules to accommodate the agreed upon date and time. Their workers were very nice and personable but one worker dropped a tool and took a large gouge out of our hardwood floors. They had to bring in a flooring specialist to replace several slats of wood. When we refused to make the final payment until the job was completed they couldn't understand why we wouldn't "trust" them to complete the work (after almost 2 yrs). When their lawyer contacted us the lawyer totally agreed with our position and it was actually their lawyer that got them to finally complete the job. What a disaster!! These were anything but cheap windows and the head-ache they put us through was totally unbelievable. Note: making this rating for this survey was difficult because we are ultimately satisfied with the windows but what we had to go through to get them was more than ridiculous. These people do not know how to run a business.

Fantastic! The team of 3 people that came to do the job were highly professional, efficient, very knowledgeable, polite, arrived right on time and worked diligently the whole time until the job was complete. When they had finished installing all the 16 new windows, they cleaned up the areas in the house and property leaving it as clean as it was before they arrived. They were proud of their work and dedicated to Renewal By Andersen to perform their job to the best of the ability. The cost of the Andersen windows is high but you get quality service and product. We love the windows and highly recommend having Renewal By Andersen to replace your windows.

Renewal by Anderson has done a fantastic job thus far. The initial sales meeting was longer than I would have liked, but with that said, it needed to be that long to get all the info we needed and to help make us feel comfortable spending money on something no one wants to, but needs to. Luke didn't sugar coat anything, he laid everything out there for us to understand in regular-people terms, not window specialist terms. The installation process was a breeze! Andy and his partner (apologies, I didn't catch his name) were fantastic! Very friendly, did a great job, and cleaned everything up, more so than before they showed up! And, most importantly, our windows look GREAT! We were unable to afford to do all the windows at once, so we are doing them in steps, (luckily Renewal allows this), I will be requesting Andy and his partner to return for the remainder of our installs. It's never easy spending money on something like this, but the Renewal team has made the process and smooth as possible.
