Description of Work: Replaced a faucet that was under warranty

Description of Work: Had a pipe burst inside wall of garage going to outside spigot. Husband was able to cut away sheet rock and see erupting pipe and Shut off all water to house. Radiant responded to emergency call at 8:30 on a Sat night. Capped pipe and turned water back on. Returned Sunday am and repiped problem area. Problem resolved...except for drywall repair. Great, prompt service in an emergency situation.

Description of Work: They are a good company and do good work but they have two flaws. First you never get the same plumber. So in our case because one plumber gave the estimate for the water heater we needed and a different one installed it they replaced the wrong water heater. Second they are very expensive. It appeared to me that they try to maximize revenue from every visit.

Description of Work: Used a sewer clean out power tool and removed the obstruction. Also used a camera to identify a defective plumbing fitting.

Description of Work: I will never use Radiant again nor can I recommend their services to anyone else. I was signed up for a few years for something called their "Premium" service whereby I paid them $20 - $25 per month for regular plumbing and HVAC inspections that was also supposed to come with discounted rates on repair services. If I am paying someone for regular inspections I expect that they will be on the ball to proactively call me when it's time for the next inspection and set up the appointment. On numerous occasions I had to initiate a call with them to setup an appointment after I realized that I was months or in some cases a year or more overdue for a checkup. On top of that, there were several occasions when I had them come out to perform work, and got ridiculously bloated quotes, and in the most recent case was quoted for HVAC repair / replacement work that simply wasn't required and given nonsense explanations as to why my current system was basically not worth repairing. After telling me that rust in my line was causing the condenser to grind and that I was 4 or 5 pounds low on Freon and that I would have to spend 100's to 1000's to chase and fix the leak and recharge the refrigerant... or else upgrade the system to the tune of 7K to 12K... I decided to have another vendor come take a look. Turns out I only needed to have the condensate pump cleaned and a new thermostat. The system was not low on Freon nor was "rust in the line" a credible explanation of anything per the other company. I've had other questionable quotes / recommendations for other services from Radiant that seemed overpriced. Thankfully I didn't bite or was able to talk / work them down to a smaller repair scope and price quote that was really all I needed. It seems to me that their technicians have a big incentive to upsell and BS you into overpriced services that you don't need, rather than simply diagnosing and providing the most common sense repairs / services at reasonable market prices.

Description of Work: Called them to evaluate/price fixing a broken exterior hose bib, as well as price fixing a shower leak. Suggested repair by going under vanity and through interior wall which was unnecessary and would have been very expensive. Did not use their repair service or recommended fix, just paid for a service call. Our broken pipe was later fixed by another plumbing company (who I highly recommend)after my husband removed two bricks on outside wall to allow better access to the pipe, which was welded to fix problem. Radiant responded quickly, and the gentleman plumber who came was friendly & helpful, but we did not like the suggested repair method or cost estimate for it.

Description of Work: I replaced a refrigerator and the valve to the ice maker was dripping, evidently for several days. In an emergency situation i called Radiant to replace the valve. For replacing one valve, it took about one hour, I was charged $ 737 . I was quoted the price, but with a dripping valve leaking water into the apartment below, what choice did I have. I have had other various, much more labor intensive, and more complicated plumbing work done, for a lot less money. I feel this company took advantage of my emergency situation.

Description of Work: I am unhappy with them because they said they would replace the escutcheon behind the outdoor hose bib when they replaced the faucet. They didn't do it and there was an ugly hole in the brick. I asked them to come back and put on the escutcheon and they scheduled someone to come out and do it. I have to take time off of work for their 2 hr window and was not happy when their plumber came out and said that he didn't have any escutcheons on his truck. He left another faucet that he said would be better but didn't install it as it made more sense to install whenever the escutcheon was replaced. So again I made another appt for 8am and told them I had to leave by 9:30 for an appt for my daughter that day. They told me I'd be the first customer of the day and that wouldn't be a problem. The plumber showed up at 9:15 and quickly installed the escutcheon and the faucet the previous plumber had left behind. I was trying to leave as soon as possible so I only looked at the faucet to be sure the escutcheon was on and left. Later when I went to use the faucet to fill my dog's water bowl, water came out at such a high pressure that it splashed out of the bowl and soaked me. We were not happy with this type of faucet at all so my husband called them and they assured him they would come out and fix it. When I took the time to wait for the same plumber again, he informed me that since the job had been done correctly already, I would be charged $150 (or around that price) for him to replace it. He then said that they had already been out here 4 times with an attitude that I was the one being difficult. I sent him on his way without work being done and having lost some of my own valuable time when my husband had been told something different. I called again and was told that I would need to speak with the service manager who would have to look over our file first but he would call by the end of the day. Never heard another word. Surprising that they would treat us this way knowing I am an Angie's list customer and had purchased this deal from Angie's list. I have given up.

Description of Work: I was grossly overcharged for adding 1 lb. of refrigerant to my system. It pays to price check with Angie's List and take advantage of the special deals but I thought as a premier subscription customer of Radiant, I would have been given a better price structure.

Description of Work: Had Angie's List deal for plumber to replace leaky outdoor hose faucet for $49. Called to set up appointment for 10 am and specifically requested a plumber and told them we wanted an estimate on removing the in-sink incinerator. Called Radient when it reached 11:15 am and was told there was a delay. At 11:30, Radient called to ask if they should send a plumber. Around noon, a "drain specialist" arrived and informed me he is not a plumber. So much for getting an estimate on the sink. The "specialist" then said he could not replace the leaky outside faucet because it was not the simple, pop off type and that we needed a plumber instead.
