Steve was fantastic. He was able to get out decades old screen door to shut for the first time since we bought the house ten years ago. Thanks, Steve!

Steve brought one helper, and they made quick work of our list. Very professional, and good work.

My initial contact with Steve began well. We basically traded voice mail messages. I eventually did speak with him directly and we set a time for him to review the projects and work up an estimate. He never showed up and stopped returning my calls. If he didn't want my business, I would have expected him to say so either after learning what the projects were or at least leave me a message indicating he didn't want the job. This isn't a very professional way of conducting business but seems to be an all to common stereotype for the trades.

Quality Handyman Services did a good job. I would say they did fine. There were no problems and I didn't have any questions. Nothing stood out. They did the job that they were supposed to.

He was on time the day of the job. Sprayed the fence and used qty 2.5 out of qty 3 of the 5-gallon sealant.?Because there was 1/2 of a 5-gallon bucket not used, I asked him to come back to spray the remainder of the sealant. ?Sealant was very expensive ($160 per 5-gallon bucket = $480,) so I did not want the half bucket to sit around, collect dust for years, and not be used on the fence. ?I was on business travel that week, so once I arrived back home after his second visit, I noticed two things. ?1.) ?The used 5-gallon bucket was found across my lot in an empty lot. ?As a result, it was not disposed of properly. ?2.) When the sprayer was cleaned at my house, over spray was sprayed on my newly planted Bermuda tiff grass. ?Although it cannot be proved. there was a dead spot (about a 2' x 6' section) next to the fence while my entire yard was green. ?I used to work for a landscaper back in college, and this was no fluke of nature, as the grass was dead, not just turning color from a lack of water and/or fertilizer. ?Other than these two issues, he did a good job.

The Job went very well. Steve was on vacation when I initially called him. Once he was back in town he called and came to look at the job. A couple of days later he came back as scheduled and completed the job in a short time. I would not hesitate to use him again and the recommend him for any work to be done around the house.

Steve was on time and he answered the call while he was finishing up his vacation. I was in dire need of the faucet to be changed out. New Shower tile and didn't want any water problems as old one was leaking and I had company coming for the weekend. He had to run and get different molding for the closet and was right back. On time and finished to my satisfaction - sealed the deal! I would use him again.

After dealing with a bad contractor last year, we were a bit jaded. What a wonderful experience with Quality Handyman Service. I am going to have them back for some extra work, since we are selling our home, I really feel fortunate to have found him. Thanks Angie's list, you have a winner with Quality Handyman Service

They were good. Scheduling was a little bit of pain but overall they were good.

They did an excellent job. They found everything I asked him to and took care of it. It was a very big fence job and they did a great job.

Steve put me at ease right away as he walked through the house for the estimate. He explained what could be done and had a solution for every problem, as well as an explanation for the excessive nail pops that no one else had mentioned. His experience (over 22 years, I believe) was clear and he didn't try to make things out to be any worse than they were. His price was fantastic. He brought in a two-man crew and stayed on sight contributing himself nearly the entire time. They worked over two days, with Steve marking every single ding and bump he could find (even more thorough than my own efforts) and the crew making the repairs. His team was incredibly professional, friendly, and did a great job of minimizing the impact on our family - which was important since we both work from home and have a baby that's here throughout the day. The end result was great, and when I spotted a couple of areas that needed retouching (they only became obvious after painting) Steve offered to come back out to take a look and repair them. We were so impressed that we've asked him back to handle a whole other laundry list of general handyman repairs.

Steve is a busy guy. He and two helpers came and did all the work needed in a timely and professional manner. I hope he will work on the property next time we need help.

Steve was very prompt in responding, working up an estimate, making the changes. His crew showed up on time on the promised day and finished in one day. Very good job and cleanup. The price was not cheap however he did a quality job and set posts correctly.

One job I had Steve do in my garage was to repair some sheet rock seams.on the ceiling. That included painting over the area so that it would match the rest of the ceiling. Steve and his helper were not happy with the way it looked Steve said they would come back and repaint the whole ceiling at no extra cost. That is exactly what they did. I will be using Quality Handyman Services again.

We had fixed this portion of our fence several times but the windstorm caused havoc with several posts. The fence was put back together with new posts and the garden wasn't disturbed. The crew was wonderful, polite, and prompt.

Everything went smoothly. Steve was very professional and courteous. He accommodated my harried schedule. He came over to gauge the work that would need to be done and figure out what supplies he'd need. He returned with a small crew, ladder and drill to install the solar screens. I couldn't be happier. VERY SATISFIED WITH THE EFFORT & WORK PERFORMED. THEY WERE ACCOMMODATING TO THE NEEDS OF THE TENANTS (PETS). I USED A BIG DEAL COUPON FOR SOME OF THE COST. FINAL COST OF THE WORK WAS MISUNDERSTOOD, DUE TO THE WAY THE ESTIMATE WAS WRITTEN, ESTIMATE WRITTEN SHOWING MATERIAL COST ONLY ACCORDING TO OWNER. I THOUGHT THE ESTIMATE WAS FOR LABOR & MATERIAL AVERAGING ~ $14XX PER FOOT; FINAL COST AVERAGED ~ $16.XX. THE FAULT IS EQUALLY MINE & THERE WAS A SCOPE CHANGE (EXTENSION & BRUSH WORK). AVERAGE COST FOR FENCING NORMALLY IN THE $14- $17 RANGE. I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN OTHER ESTIMATES HAD I KNOWN ACTUAL COST. I WOULD STONGLY ADVISE PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS TO REQUEST A MORE DETAILED ESTIMATE. AND GO OVER IT BEFORE WORK IS SCHEDULED.

They came and did the work. They were excellent.

He was very punctual, efficient, professional and cleaned up after himself when the projects were completed. I was very pleased with the services he provided and will definitely use him in the future.

Steve and his crew did a great job. He scheduled the work within our timeline and was prompt. The work was performed quickly and was a quality job.

Steve Lee is a very nice guy. We trusted him completely. However, he has a classic case of "over-promise and under-deliver". The carpet we provided and he installed was done very well. We had asked for a trim on the carpet, and, after installation, Steve indicated he "was still searching for the trim". When we asked a second time, he responded that he would place some transparent caulk on the edges so that it wouldn't fray. It looked great until it rained, after which it turned white (on the edge of a brown carpet), which looked horrible. When we told him about it, he indicated he would be back "tomorrow", and now three weeks later, we have not heard from him. The cracks he filled in on our tan-shaded patio were filled with light gray caulking, except around our front steps where his helper (without our asking) filled in a crack with some orange caulk in an attempt to match the color of the steps. None of this was to our satisfaction, and when the watering system came on and got the caulk wet, we saw that the colors were incredibly mismatched. When we told Steve about this, he indicated he would be there "tomorrow", and we have yet to hear from him. The price was right, the guy seemed to understand what we wanted, he was prompt in returning phone calls and coming quickly to do the job, but unfortunately, he never returned to finish the job. We depended upon the Angie's List ratings to hire Steve, so I feel bad that he did not live up to our expectations. Handymen need to learn how to "under-promise and over-deliver". That is the secret to a successful business. We tried to "go local" and help the local economy. The next time we might go to a national handyman service.

I would recommend them as they are proactive, professional and suggested adjustments that made sense.
