He was great! Steve came out and talked with us about what he could do for us and he listened to what we had to say. We had decided on Tuesday because of the weather (it was supposed to rain) but since it didn't he called and came out Monday! He finished the whole job in one day! He used pine wood (you could smell the wonderful pine smell). He explained everything he was going to do before hand and kept to his bid! There were no surprises and we are very happy with his work. He cleaned up afterwards and towed the old wood away. We plan on using him again for our next project! I loved that he was a fellow animal lover and treated my dog very well!

It was good. They were really fast. We only had some small repairs, and they were here from the morning to the afternoon.

See above. A totally undependable handyman service with no regard to the customer. You NEED to remove this business's ad from your publication so that other unsupsecting people don't try to use him.

They did a great job with the workmanship. I provided all the materials. They even disposed of my old fence that I had replaced, but had no truck to haul to the dump (did charge a little extra to do this).

WARNING! Steve, the principal of Quality Handyman Services is a really nice guy. Quite likable. Don't be fooled!! After scheduling the appointment to do the work, Steve called to cancel and postpone a week. I had purchased a "deal" for three hours of general carpentry work. While discussing the various jobs I needed done, he said he would do the headboard first. He removed a piece of trim from a headboard, had two young men move the piece upstairs and assemble the bed, replacing the trim. I suppose that three men for an hour is somewhat the same as one man for three hours, but I wouldn't have paid "carpentry" wages to two movers. We had discussed several other jobs that I needed performed. He spent part of that time taking measurements to make cabinet doors for my kitchen in his shop, which he promised to have to me by mid December. (This was in October.) I contacted him regarding the doors around the 10th of December, and he admitted he had forgotten, although he still had the measurements. There was also some excuse about a particular saw blade that he wouldn't have until the first week in January. I agreed to wait, and he again promised that I would have my doors. Around the 21st of January, I began to call to inquire about when I might expect the work to be performed. It is now ten days later, I have left approximately 6 messages, and he refuses to even give me the courtesy of a a phone call to tell me that he isn't going to do it. COMPLETELY UNDEPENDABLE!

He was polite and friendly. He said he would send us an estimate the very next day and he never did. It has now been 2 weeks. He never responded back to my husband's and my calls. It seems like he doesn’t want to do any work for us now.

There were a few pros, but mostly cons. I gave great leeway to Steve because he had family stuff going on, but at some point he mistook kindness for stupidity and weakness. In short, if you are accustom to poor apartment quality fixes or you have the time to watch every last step they make you will probably be okay with this guy. If you have remotely 5 star hotel leanings or expect quality work without babysitting, well then, expect to be disappointed. I will say his workers did an amazing job on the ceiling scrapes and the drywall in the garage. As for the rest a small sampling follows: as other reviewers have stated there is zero follow-up on sloppy work and calls go unreturned; the baseboards he put in looked like maybe my nine year old nephew had done them and they will have to be taken out and entirely replaced, no salvaging them at all; they hacked off closet trim to avoid doing miter cuts on the floor installation; the floor itself will have to be taken up and redone to ever look correct with probably 75% salvageable (this is the click installation type floor people, not that hard); overspray on walls (off white onto sea foam green) Steve then licked his finger and went over the spots to show me how easy the overspray spots come off; painted doors and trim the wrong color even after I had given it to him in writing; left trash from the job for me to dispose of; took blinds and doors off of rooms that were not to be done and never put them back on; his son drank half a case of Mexican Coke and freely ate and left open European chocolate cookies which drew roaches; they did not wash their hands after using the bathroom and when I addressed it they started using the master bathroom and taped off the ½ bath; left windows open in an empty house and when I addressed it Steve told his crew they could not open the windows at all while they were painting; either destroyed or stole a sun screen......and amazingly I could keep going for pages and pages more.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They did a very good job on the work I asked them to do. They were very nice. There were no additional charges.

He did what appears to be a fine job--the reason I'm giving this service a D rating is because one of the pieces he put up came off. It's stuck and I can't get it either back on or off. I called Steve and told him about it and he said he would be out the next week. I was thrilled. Well that was almost a month ago and many follow up calls later, I've yet to hear from him or see him. I'm so disappointed. Maybe something's wrong, I don't know. What I do know is that if I treated my customers this way I would never, ever make any money and would be panhandling down on I-35.

They were wonderful. Quality Handyman Services was great, I will use them again. His eagerness and he was very reassuring and he told me no problem don't worry about it, we can take care of all this. He was very encouraging and just had a real can do attitude and I appreciated that.

They did a sloppy job. When Mr. Lee and his wife came to my home to pick up his check, I showed him the places where there was too much texture applied to the drywall and the sloppy work. He said, "No problem -- he would take care of it." I called him at least 15 times, and he refused to answer his phone or return my phone calls. I cannot have my backsplash installed until the drywall problem is taken care of. Now I have to try to find a drywall worker who will be willing to come out for such a small job, and that's proving to be very difficult. I was an interior designer for 40 years and it's very hard to find people who are willing to spend their time taking care of small problems created by someone else's mess which doesn't make them much money. That's where I am now: trying to find someone who is willing to do this for me. In addition to doing poor quality work, Mr. Lee has left us in a bind. My husband and I have been dealing with this leak problem since August (they had to rip up our hardwood floors and tear out our kitchen cabinets and we couldn't live in our home for six weeks). We're old people (69 and 76) and we just want our home back. Mr. Lee has not behaved professionally or honorably.

Installed the sun tunnel in a couple hours at the agreed to price. Job was flawless (so far).

Great to deal with, even after a miscommunication sent the m to the wrong address. We have more things to do at our house, and will definitely use them again.

I am very pleased with this service. Dave was great to work with and his crew are all competent and pleasant to work with. I initially wanted a vanity installed and some toilets installed. The vanity was an issue because the walls were warped and getting it in to fit was a challenge. They did a great job of fitting it in without damaging the cabinet and prepping all the cut-off valves for the new plumbing to be installed later. They removed two old toilets and installed two new hi-rise, low-flow toilets and they are great: no leaks and firmly seated. They also replaced two old track light systems with two new, contemporary LED fixtures. They repaired and replaced drywall, hauled away the old toilets, debris, etc. and cleaned the work site very thoroughly. I am very pleased with the interactions with Dave and his crew and the pricing and quality of their work. I am planning future work and intend to have them do it for me once the new materials and cabinets arrive. My dogs liked them all, as well, so that is a big bonus.

Excellent job taking wall down with great care taken to keep dust and mess cleaned up and to a minimum. Repaired Sheetrock that was damaged due to water. Rehung shelves, towel rack, and large television after wall removed and walls painted. Worked at a good pace which I appreciated. Provided upfront written detailed estimate so there was no confusion as to what his quote included. Provided a detailed written receipt at completion.

We used Steve's $300, 'Handyman for a Day' special listed on Angie's List to take care of several things around the house. The gables on my house were leaking when it rained and Steve and his crew managed to nail down and caulk every seam on two gables. The rest of the time was spent hanging a ceiling fan and some outside lights. Everything was done professionally and efficiently. A day after they finished we had a hard rain and there was still a tiny leak in one of the gables. We called Steve and he came back and took care of the problem as well as fixing an upstairs bathroom leak. His prices were fair, his men worked clean and he showed up on time. We will definitely use him again.

We wound up not needing these services at the time. ?I will definitely take advantage of them at some point in the future, when I need them.

Our garage was a big storage room, with things piled up everywhere. There really was way too much stuff. When I saw this offer, I knew we had to jump on it. Steve and his team went in there and moved everything out and onto the driveway. They separated out all of the trash (including a broken-down lawnmower) and recycling and put it in their truck to haul away. Then they moved everything else back into the garage so that things were much more easily accessible. While there was still a lot of stuff in the garage, it's stuff that my family had to go through. By removing what they did, it made our job much easier. .Steve and his team did an amazing job! As a matter of fact, it was so good that our realtor was impressed enough to join Angie's List in order to get the deal.

He was excellent, the best service I have ever had from anyone. He was very professional, gave me accurate prices, and the service was performed in a timely manner. I would recommend highly.

On 9/4/2013 my property was hit with high winds from a storm that hit southwest austin. The winds knocked down several large trees which destroyed the fencing on the back portion of my property as well as the neighbors side fencing. On 9/5/2013 I checked Angies list to find recommended fence installers I contacted 4 companies but Mr Lee was the only one that responded in a timely manner. He came out the morning of 9/6/2013 as arranged gave me a price of $1250, I waited untill late that afternoon and since no one else bothered contacting me I called him back. and agreed on him starting on 9/9/2013, we also made a change to the order to salvage fencing to be thrown away from the back fence to repair the neighbors fence which was done. The crew showed up as agreed to on morning of 9/9/2013 and the fence was completed that day. The work area was cleaned up all trash hauled away. His workmanship was outstanding no shortcuts taken in installation or materials, will use his company again.

Terrible. Was looking forward to getting projects done, but that is not what happened.

This was an Angie's List "Big Deal". I purchased a 2 toilet swap out deal, had 1 toilet w/a cracked tank and another black toilet I could never seem to get clean enough w/our hard water. Steve came out after I PU 2 new toilets and and his crew had them swapped out in record time. Made sure there were no leaks and that I was happy w/the job before they left. They even took the old ones away for me! Just noticed they do drywall and I'll be calling him for another job! Thanks, Steve.

I called Steve early in the week and he responded very quickly. He came out and gave us an estimate to do the wall. When we set up the actual work appointment, I asked him if he could reattach a chain to a ceiling fan and fix a fallen brick from our brick border and he said of course. His crew arrived on time and did the work quickly and efficiently. Even though we had added a few more jobs, Steve still charged us his original estimate. We will definitely use him again!!

Steve and his crew are talented, punctual and polite. I would recommend them for work. Below is an overview. Steve and I played phone tag a few times in order to set up initial appointment. He was prompt for his Saturday appointment and expressed confidence in his crew to get the variety of work completed. Setting a firm date for work was a bit challenging but once we had a firm date he and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. His crew was polite and asked asked appropriate questions. Each member had a set assignment. When completed they moved onto the next work without pause. We ran into a snafu with the moving of a clothes line that none of us anticipated. Steve's crew offered options. The exterior work went quickly and was done well. I did have to ask two separate times for the old phone and cable boxes to be removed after the wiring was taken down. This was accomplished right before the crew left but the siding did not get painted in this area. The crew did a super job on hanging the front glass screen door. They made this task look easy. The finished product for the window sills was a big improvement to the rooms after years of paint accumulation. i did ask them to go back and remove existing paint from the living room and one bedroom. Although they had sanded there was still remaining paint that would have peeled after paint was applied. As stated, the final product looked good. The crew was responsive and polite on requests. I purchased two of the Angie Coupons so they get an A for price.
