Excellent from the time the estimate was made until the installation was completed.

The repairman quickly determined the compressor was not starting and the capacitor needed to be replaced. He replaced the capacitor and checked the starter, charge, cooling, etc. to make sure everything was working. A/C is running well now.

They really try to please and do a really good job. They are professional, and the quality of their service is very good. This is the second time I have used them actually - they have not charged for the job yet. I would use them again in the future.

They were very helpful. The technician wanted to make sure that he was not ordering a part that would not fix the problem. He called the manufacturer for diagnostic help. The part had to come in from California. His name was Terry and I was very pleased. We signed on to their maintenance program.

We got three estimates and decided to have Petrocelli Services do the installation of the heat pump system for our upstairs. The estimate wasn't the lowest, but close to it. We chose this company to replace our broken heat pump because they had an excellent product (according to Consumer Report), they had an excellent report from Angie's List and they had an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. They fulfilled our expectations on all levels, gave a good warranty, came back to check on their work, and have since serviced our new heat pump as well as checking on the older downstairs heat pump. We have agreed to a maintenance contract with Petrocelli and also plan on having them install a new downstairs unit when the time comes. We highly recommend this company and have had a very good experience with them.

From the very first contact, the woman who answers the phone is friendly and helpful. Joe Petrocelli himself came out quickly and spent quite a bit of time with me going over the necessary repairs (this was a messed up job from a previous bad contractor). His men did the work with efficiency and skill and for a very resonable price. Petrocelli Services has restored my faith in contractors. Thanks Petrocelli Services!

Wonderful, friendly, and quick service. Petrocelli Services went out of their way to work with me on repairing the A/C unit of my rental house while coordinating with my Landlord over seas by email. They are an excellent company and finished the job in a timely fashion. Both Terry, the repairman, and Betty who I talked to on the phone were very friendly and helpful. Thumbs up from me!

I called Petrocelli based on their ratings on Angie's. Within 3 minutes, a tech called me and arranged for a day of service call. Within 30 minutes (I called before 9 AM) I received a call from their office trying to arrange a service call. She was very nice and was not surprised that a tech had already called me. I wasn't sure of the time, so asked if she could give me a window so as not to wait around all day if possible. She told me she'd call back and within 3 minutes called and gave me a 2 hour window. The tech was not only prompt, but very knowledgable. Not only was the problem remedied, (low on R 410 A) He was so nice and gave me an excellent training on A/C inside the home. He inspected every unit (we have 3) and recommended removal of unnecessary filters, incorrect installation of vents and how to improve the air flow to insure optimum cooling and heating all around. Yeah! Also learned about thermostat, air returns and how to maximize air conditioning without increasing costs! I recommend Ptrocelli's highly. They are now our new A/C specialists for life.

Excellent - tenant called me at 4:30 on Friday saying there was a problem with the AC - Joe was able to fix by 2:00 Saturday. Joe took the time to explain the problem and how the recommendation would fix it. Positively surprised at both the speed and timing.

Our A/C unit quit working on Wednesday afternoon. I called Petrocelli that afternoon and scheduled a service call for Thursday. At that time I was told the technician could not get there until sometime between 11:00 and 1:00 on Thursday, which I agreed to since it was not an emergency situation. The technician arrived at 12:15, easily within the promised time frame. I was impressed with the technicians professionalism, friendliness, and punctuality. He worked quickly, took time to explain his work and how to take care of the system. The technician also clearly explained what the costs were going to be ahead of time. I did not give the price category an A grade only because I'm not familiar with costs associated with this kind of work. It seemed like a fair and reasonable price which is why I gave that category a grade of B.

Through, professional and on time. I will use Petrocelli again.

The experience was great. I have already recommended Petrocelli to my neighbor. I contacted them for an A/C checkup prior to the hot weather. Terry arrived promptly at the time stated. (Actually, he arrived 5 minutes before I did.) He was thorough and helpful. I will continue to use them twice a year for my A/C and heating checkup. The price is very reasonable. I haven't had to use them for any actual service work, so I can't comment on that. But if and when I do, I will post a review.

I called for an estimate for a new A/C unit when my old one quit working. The technician looked over the unit and recommended that I just replace the condenser fan motor. He came back with the right parts the next day and completed the work. The A/C has been working for the last couple of weeks without issues. I don't know whether the charge represents a fair cost for the work performed.

Excellent. 3 hours of work and it was done, cleaned up and operational.

Update from 11/29: I got a call from Petrocelli about a month ago, and they were horrified by my listing here. They stated they were extremely sorry for my treatment and that the employee was terminated. They sent me a gift certificate to Home Depot and a free one-year maintenance contract for heating and A/C. I finally sent the contract back today. I do applaud their effort to make me happy (and since I couldn't post a N/A, I gave them an A for effort). After their visit, I will post another review. We all hope it is a good one. Original listing: I called because we had a leak on the carpet that we thought was from the A/C. The service tech at first complained because he couldn't find our house because he didn't have the correct address. He told us that we needed a new furnace, estimated at $2,340, because the metal pan was rusted out, though the metal pan was not the source of the problem. He said the problem was the metal coil, which was broken. I asked for an estimate for just the coil. He reluctantly gave us an estimate for just the coil ($1,475), insisting that we need a new furnace because new coils do not fit well on old A/C's. He admitted that the coil was the problem, not the furnace, and that the furnace was in fact fine, but he wanted to sell us a new furnace anyway. We paid the $89 service charge. I called a second A/C company to investigate the same problem. They said the drain was slightly clogged but nothing severe, and cleaned out the drain. They didn't think the A/C had anything to do with the water on the carpet, and tested it with five pitchers of water. They did not know what the source of the leak was, but it wasn't the A/C. They suggested the bathroom closest to the leak might be the source. They charged us $69.

I had to replace a good bit of my air conditioning unit. I think he did a good job. He came in and looked at the unit. He had to leave so he came back that day or the next day and fixed it. He did a pretty good job. I thought he was a bit pricey but hopefully his work will last longer than the previous person?s work. The quality of the work was very good. He was very punctual and professional.

They were honest and came out quickly. We never know when we get an air conditioning guy to show up and about what he is going to charge us. However, the issue we had was relatively inexpensive to repair. The price was reasonable.

On Sunday night, I noticed that my AC unit was leaking water into it's drip pan as well as out of the back-end of the unit onto the floor. First thing on Monday morning, I called and left a message on the office message machine and asked them to call as soon as they came in. Within 10 minutes, I received a return call and scheduled for a service man to come by the afternoon. Before noon, the service man arrived and quickly assessed this issue and went to work correcting it. In addition to clearing the clog, he added a short portion of pipe to drain into the drip pan so that the same issue would not re-occur. The then performed the annual maintenance on all of my units of my two and a half story house. He was very efficient and wrapped things up in 2 1/2 hours. He charged me $415 dollars which seemed a bit high but upon talking to my wife who had arranged for a previous year's annual service done which was done on a pre-scheduled (non-urgent) basis without the main/repair issue to deal with, we both concluded that this was not really out of line for what we felt was an "emergency appointment". However, the next day, I got a call from the office of the company telling me that they had over-charged me, offered to put me on a plan that included another check-up in the spring-time for no extra charge, and sent me a refund of $138 to boot. That type of honesty and follow-up will make me a repeat customer and recommend them to others.

Technicians were thorough, polite, and competent. They arrived later than scheduled but called to let me know they were behind schedule. He seemed very knowledgeable and offered advice in how best to maintain our equipment and where problems might occur in the future. They were efficient and answered all my questions.

Service wise, they were VERY responsive. That went well, price was appropriate, they were punctual, nice, etc. The front office stated that they would let me know when they were coming out (either the next morning, or the day after that). I hadn't heard anything and had to call to see if they were coming or not. The front office wasn't available until 10 am, so I had to get the tech who answered the phone up to speed on why I was calling. I just needed to know if I could leave and do errands without missing somebody or not. After some confusion, a tech came out right away and the service went off without a hitch. The confusion, I'm sure, was all at the front office level. I was also suprised that the front office didn't have knowledge about the rebate programs for A/C mechanical system replacements through the City. Or Federal Tax credit. But that wasn't a big deal since I knew it would all come to the front during the bid process itself. I was just suprised. The bid process was OK, but I was suprised that the owner of the company (the one that prepared the bid) didn't want to see the system or space it services in person prior to bidding. Especially since we were asking him to make a recommendation on the size of unit we should really be running for our main floor. At the end of the day, their bid was significantly higher for run-of-the mill level systems (Rudd) vs. two other bids received on mid-level Lennox systems (a higher quality equipment manufacturer). Again, service wise I have no complaints, even given the front-office lack of communication. They were quick, fast, didn't putz around doing things that I didn't request of them. And price was MORE THAN REASONABLE. But I'm not so sure they are the company for system replacements should you need some individual adjustments to your system.

My air conditioner sounded like it was working , but it was not blowing cold air. I called another service company that I had used in the past and they promptly sent out a serviceman. He checked it and told me that my compressor was gone and that I needed a new unit. Since this was to be a major purchase, I decided to call for a few estimates. I called Petrocelli Serv8ices, (the Round Rock office) and Paul was there in about 30 minutes. He checked the air conditioner and told me that the compressor was ok but some wiring was burnt, most likely due to a fan motor that was beginning to fail. The air conditioner is 16 yrs old, so we expect that it won't be around much longer. Paul replaced the wires and the air conditioner is working great. He explained my options if the fan motor fails and did not try to sell me something I didn't need at the time. For that, I am grateful, and expect to use Petrocelli Services again in the future.

I have used Petrocelli Services for me A/C needs since about summer of 2007 when I needed a new compressor for one of my two A/C units. Joe Petrocelli replaced my compressor at a reasonable price and gave me good advice as well. I now regularly renew my $109 annual service contract for which Joe do regular spring & fall service on both units. I have also called Joe to repair my ducts that came apart. He is always prompt, professional, and reasonably priced.

The person who came out was punctual, and knowledgeable. He made a point to show me why I needed to change the existing unit. He had a gadget that showed me visually that the old unit was not good, and it needed replacement. So he ordered the new unit. I scheduled a time frame, and he came, installed the new unit, and got the job done on time. He did a very good job. My overall experience with him was good.

The owner himself came out to do the job. He is highly recommended and I'm impressed with the job he did.

I noticed for the last month that my house was no longer cooling as low as it normally does, especially during cooking when the oven is on or parties when the door is opened and closed repeatedly. In addition, I noticed that the AC was running for much longer than I remember it should. I checked the condenser and didn't notice freeze up or a clogged drain. I did however notice that the low pressure line was not very cold out by the compressor. I called Petrocelli and they were willing to come out within a couple hours but since our condenser is in the attic and I didn't want to go up there, I suggested we wait till the morning. Joe called at 8:30 am and arrived 2 minutes before the scheduled time at 9:00 am. Repairs were described as above after he provided an estimate of the costs. He also described some upcoming changes in the industry (complete change over from R-22 which my unit still uses) and said that with proper maintenance, I shouldn't have to worry about it unless my compressor goes out. He said the compressor was drawing a bit too many amps (80) on startup and recommended an optional power supplier (I can't remember the official name) that would help extend it's life. Quoted the price and said I should think about it within the next couple years. Joe was more interested in keeping me as a long time customer than trying to make a quick buck and for that I HIGHLY recommend him. He was a pleasant and professional to deal with.
