We called Petrocelli after checking Angies list. Petrocelli could not get someone out at 9:00 pm but said they would have someone there as soon as possible the next day. The technician called and showed-up in a timely manner. The repair and system checks were completed before noon. The Angies list coupon was even honored after the service technician had left - please note we did not consider the coupon when selecting Petrocelli, but it was a nice reward after the fact! We also bought a 1 year service contract following the service.

Can't really comment on the price since this was an emergency job. But seemed very fair and comparable. Also, everyone involved was great.! Couldn't ask for a faster service.

Terry found the safety float switch in the drain shutting the unit on and off. He Cleaned out the drain. He checked to see that the contacts and electrical fittings were good. He also say that the charge on the system was good. He was very knowledgeable.

Representative was available last minute on a Sunday and was prompt and knowledgable. Will definitely call again if we need them.

The appointment was for 12:30 PM, The service tech called in the morning to tell me he could not be there until 3:00 PM. He arrived at 4:15 PM, smelling of alcohol and sluring his words. He went through the motions of looking at my system but became hostile after I asked him some questions. After he left I called the office and reported what I had happened.

Mario answered our call about five minutes after we left a v-mail message. He was at our home in about 20 minutes; he diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes and showed us the failed part. Then he explained the best and worst case scenarios, which were both very reasonable prices given this kind of repair. The replacement part did the trick and the entire affair lasted less than an hour. He could not have been nicer or more professional.

The AC unit for our upstairs refused to turn on. Investigation showed that the secondary drain pan was full of water and the float switch was being triggered to turn off the unit. While in route from DFW to Austin, at 10:30 pm I called Petrocelli expecting to leave a voice mail. Instead the call was answered by the owner. She explained that Friday was full but offered to send her tech over that night. In fact the technician had to wait for me to arrive at home at 12:00AM midnight. He was very friendly and explained all of the work while doing the job. He thoroughly cleaned the lines and check where they connected to the sink drains. Though the cost was $256, there was no after hours charge and I will use them for biannual system checkups and preventative maint.

I called Petrocelli early on a Friday morning, the day before I was to leave town for a week. The technician was on his way to my house within 2 hours. By noon he had diagnosed the problem and said someone would be out that afternoon to repair the A/C. He was very apologetic and explained the $2000 cost of the repair So far, an A+.... About 5pm that same day, a crew arrived to do the repair work. I was very happy because I was to return the Saturday of a holiday weekend and did not want to be without air for 2 days after I came back. The crew worked to get the repair complete. As they were going to leave, I was handed the phone. The original technician who was on the phone said there was an additional issue. He was again apologetic but said he could not have diagnosed the 2nd issue until the first issue was fixed. He said he would come back and finish the job as soon as I returned. He said the A/C would work in the mean time, but not very efficiently. I set the thermostat at 85 and left town. Still an A-... While I was gone, Petrocelli called every other day wanting payment. No biggie that word of me being out of the country did not reach the office. I called the first morning that they were open after my return. Willing to pay the invoice and wanting them to come and finish the job. I made arrangements for someone to be home. The office told me the technician would call me right back. He did but he said he could not remember what the 2nd issue was. He would review his notes and call me back. This was Tuesday. Friday at 4:30, the office called me back (the technician never did) and left a voice mail, wanted to schedule the additional repair. I called back within a half hour to get an on call voice mail. Now 4 days late on the second repair. Now an average C.... I received a return phone call the following Wednesday (8 days late), asking when they could come out and finish the repair. We set it up for between 1-5 the following day (9 days late). The following day, after leaving work early, I got a call at 3:30 saying they would be out at 5. The guy showed up at 6. I'm not going to complain about the late arrival. About average for service people, right? This technician (different from the 1st) didn't say hello, give his name or smile. Just said he was from Petrocelli Services and what he was there to do. To his credit, he worked in a miserably hot attic very late in the day for 2 hours. I was sitting in the living room and heard his truck start out front. I got outside in time to see him driving away. No "thanks", "here is what I did", not a word. Just left and left the attic door open (in the garage). Grade plummeted. Not sure what he did, if anything. The A/C is working but there is not a high rate of confidence that it is in good shape. Now a below average D. I guess Petrocelli Services is too busy to care. I won't be calling again unless whatever it is they did for $2000 fails which would not surprise me.

Immediate response to call-- scheduled same day service when called about 12Noon when we noticed wet spots on the ceiling. We turned off the AC and confirmed the appt. about 4PM noting repairman would be at our home by that evening. Mario arrived about 7 PM and diagnosed the problem-- explained everything to us. Done to great satisfaction--overflow line was corrected and repaired (was incorrect prior to house purchase last summer).

Very prompt, courteous and professional. I hired Petrocelli to perform my summer A/C check as they were highly recommended on Angies List and only charged $89 for 1st unit and $20 for my additional unit. Mario spent quite a bit of time explaining things and providing tips for maintenance. Mario found the freon to be very low. He checked for leaks and fortunately only found that the valve was not tightened properly last time it was serviced. He added 4 pounds of Freon. He also noted when checking for leaks that the previous service company Strand Brothers, installed a non-Lennox coil when selling me a Lennox unit. Fortunately, the coils did not go bad since that would have cost $1500 to replace. Strand brothers/Service Experts has not called me back to make right. I also found out that the original Strand Bros owners bought Stan's Heating and Air.

Great service, both units were serviced and cleaned and all repairs were explained to me detail. Terry took his time for our spring check-up. Very pleasant experience.

Pretty straightforward. Came out the same day I called, did a check to find the problem with the heating portion, found out it was the main board. Weighed the options of repair or replace, which he researched on the spot. Decided to get a new one. Guys ordered the unit and came on time a few days later to install. Installation was just a few minutes and it worked great!

My Air Conditioner started giving me problems on Saturday 4/27 and we realized it truly wasn't working late that night. The next morning I began looking for a repair person and came across their Angies list entry. I wasn't in a rush because I assumed I was going to need to replace my old AC unit but I decided there was no harm in having someone come out and take a look. Within an hour of calling Terry was at my house on a Sunday and was looking my unit over. He patiently talked me through every step of the process and even taught me quite a bit about my unit and maintenance. Extremely friendly, professional, efficient and trustworthy. I will absolutely be working with them again.

I had routine maintenance on my 17 year old HVAC system by a well-rated Angieslist provider. I was told that I needed to replace my system and was quoted a name brand for $6,999. This was far outside my budget. Seeking another opinion and quote, I called Petrocelli on Saturday morning. Terry arrived about an hour later to look at the system. He suggested a stop gap measure to keep the system running but agreed that it was time for a replacement. On Monday, the office called to quote $5,063 on a non-brand name system with the same efficiency rating. The system they quoted had a comparable warranty to the name brand. Within a week Petrocelli delivered and installed the system. When they took the new system out of the box, the technician noticed that it had been damaged in shipment. He worked with the supplier to have a new until delivered to Austin that same day. The service technicians kept me fully informed about how work was proceeding. I was very pleased with the professionalism of everyone I've talked to at Petrocelli and highly recommend the company.

If you don't mind the expense then go for it, but if you have rental property and you are trying to keep yourost down don't bother with them as they wil not help.

My wife and I are purchased a new home in the Kyle, TX area. After the inspection, there were some HVAC issues that needed to be resolved, but we had to get an estimate - not get the work done. Our "option period" was closing, and Petrocelli did an excellent job and juggling not on the our schedule, but the schedule of the owners of the home as well to do a full HVAC inspection and give an estimate of the services needed and the cost so that we could bring that figure to closing in the contract. The cost for inspection was $85, (1 hour of labor) and if we use Petrocelli for the actual HVAC service, that $85 will go towards the total of the repairs/services. So in short, it's a free estimate, as long as you use Petrocelli. Once we close on the house, Petrocelli will be our go-to company for HVAC needs. Tamyn was my main contact at the office and she is a Rockstar at customer service. She follows up on promises and is very prompt on call backs.

Excellently. The serviceman checked my system out, and explained what was likely making the noise (defrost cycle) and that newer heat pumps are designed to be more quiet. However, he was honest in saying that if it was him and considering the cost, he would wait until the system died (in 5-10 years) and then get a whole new system. I was impressed.

They responded the same day. They were terrific.

Our 8-year-old Carrier air conditioner was blowing air but not cooling. We'd called another company (not Petrocelli), whose technician determined that the capacitor had blown because the compressor was bad and that we needed to replace the whole unit. This technician then became difficult when we tried to obtain some quote options from him (see our review of Colley), and while we waited for the quotes, we called Petrocelli to see if they would be more forthcoming with quotes (and if they would come to the same conclusion about the problem as the other company). Petrocelli was able to send two technicians to our house within 30 minutes of my call. Bobby and the other tech were very nice and professional and happy to answer my questions. They also came to the conclusion that the capacitor was blown, but when they replaced it, they found no other problems. We waited a few months to post this review to make sure the air conditioner continued to work properly. It has, which means Petrocelli not only fixed the problem but saved us the thousands of dollars we would've spent on a new unit if we'd stuck with the other company.

He came out & was very attentive & professional. He knew what he was talking about. I'd talked to some other companies & chose him. They did an excellent job. His crew didn't make a mess. Everything turned out exactly the way I wanted it.

Service man did not have all parts and needed to get them (for an additional $49 over the quoted price - quoted $127 and charged $176). The job was done properly and the heater worked again. If you are trying to use the Angie's list coupon they offer here be forwarned. I tried to give him the $25 coupon for the service call that is advertised above, and he refused to honor it. So the coupon seems to be smoke to get customers. In the review, I gave an F for price because he did not honor the coupon.

On Thanksgiving day my heating system was making a big thumping sound and then stopped working after emitting a burning smell. Terry from Petrocelli came out promptly the next day. Because we were an annual preventive maintenace customer they repaired it at no charge as well as installing some insulation around my vents that were loose--to prevent a clunking sound we were getting. Terry is great, very honest, dependable and friendly. I feel I am in good hands with Petrocelli.

They are very efficient, thorough and explain everything.

It went very well. We asked for the technician to come out on a specific day because we had a lot of things going on and the scheduler had no problem working with us. The technician arrived on the scheduled date and was very professional and quick. A very nice guy performed the tasks and really knew what he was doing. We will use this company for all our AC/Heating needs.

AC quit cooling and I saw that fan on outdoor unit was not turning even though compressor was running. This was a Saturday morning. I called two places listed on Angie's list. Joe Petrocelli answered his phone, the other was only an answering machine. Joe estimated he could come by around 1:00 that day or not too long after that, but would call before coming. He did call, and came not much after 1:00. He was very professional and courteous; promptly diagnosed the problem and replaced the fan motor with one he had in his truck. It seemed expensive (doesn't everything?), but he explained that the type of motor they carried with them was somewhat more expensive because it was adaptable to a number of different kinds of units, and otherwise he would likely not have had an appropriate motor with him. Bottom line was that I was very satisfied with him - he explained everything that he did, and when I asked him questions about my system and its future, and he seemed very knowledgeable and honest.
