Description of Work: This review is long overdue for which I apologize. We moved to Austin in 2013 and didn't care for the flooring of the home we bought. We needed a company to replace most of the tile flooring of the main living areas with wood flooring. We also need to have all the carpets replaced and custom sized rugs made for our dining and living areas. We also were not going to be here to supervise the work as we weren't moving to Austin for a few months, and wanted all of the work completed before we arrived so we interviewed several flooring companies and decided to go with Peoples. Robert and Julie were the best. We basically met with Robert once, selected the flooring types, and gave them the keys to our house to have the work done after we moved back to our home in Hawaii. We also need them to coordinate with other contractors that were doing other work. Bottom line is everything turned out perfectly, to include our wood stairs. The work done was high quality and we so much appreciate having a company do what they say will do and stand behind their word. The custom rugs were measured and cut and edged perfectly for the space. Peoples Flooring have our highest recommendation and anyone who knows my wife and me, know that we are very picky so hats off to Robert and his entire crew for doing a great job. We've been in our home now going on 4 years and have had no problems with their work.

Description of Work: Installed hardwood floors in three rooms, new baseboards in master bedroom. |Originally estimated 3 to 3.5 days but completed all flooring in 1 day and then the baseboards in 1/2 day. Very careful with all furniture, extremely attentive to detail. Robert Peoples came by three times to review the project and insure satisfaction. Totally professional in all aspects from first meeting to discuss flooring through the entire process.

Description of Work: We were installing a wood/ceramic floor for the first floor of our house. Originally, we were only looking for ceramic flooring as my husband was going to install the wood flooring, so this is reflected in this review. | |We contacted them via their website form and Julie got back to us via phone. She explained as they were a mobile based company they didn't carry a stock of ceramic tile, so they provide a list of trade suppliers where we could pick up samples. They provided 3 addresses, all very close together but only one of them was open at the weekend (the only time my husband is generally available). However, we were OK with that and worked it out. | |In the meantime, on doing some research we decided we would have the wood floor installed professionally as well. I contacted Julie about this and said we would also be getting quotes from a couple of other businesses. I don't think this was conveyed to Robert as he seemed surprised when we mentioned that we waiting on other quotes. | |Robert arrived exactly on time and was very professional. He brought in a massive supply of samples and my husband likened it to being at the optician. - Do you like 1 or 3, 2 or 1 LOL. He was very knowledgeable about the wood samples and gave us some good information about the quality of ceramic tiles plus which was the best size. To honest, we hadn't really got a good supply of sample tiles, so we had to go back to the stores and rethink. | |The presentation was about 3 hours long which to be honest was too long and we probably picked out the sample we wanted within the hour but appreciate that Robert wanted to make sure we were making the right choice as you are possibly living with this floor for a long time if you don't plan to sell your house in the immediate future. | |He also worked out an approximate quote for us while he was still with us which was somewhat awkward as we could not say yay or nay as (1) we hadn't chosen the tile and (2)we were going to wait on the other quotes. This is when it became apparent that Robert was unaware of the fact we were looking other quotes, even though we had mentioned it throughout the presentation and I had told his wife this fact. On hearing this he said if he known this, he would done his presentation differently. This was immediately jarring to us but in the end it did not effect our decision as it was based purely on the quotes we received. | |In the end we did not go with People's but we would certainly commend their professionalism in their presentation.

Description of Work: Finally got them on phone, after leaving a message. Took long time to return phone call. Asked that I send them pictures of what I wanted to match up tile and laminated floors. I did send pictures, but never got a response back to come and give me an estimate.

Description of Work: Robert brought out many samples and was very helpful in selection process. They were very accommodating in working with our schedule. Installers did excellent work and were very professional. Julie followed up to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Both Robert and Julie were a pleasure to work with, and we will be using them again in the near future.

Description of Work: I always use Peoples Signature Flooring for my carpet and tile needs (owners also owned Floor Coverings International). A little pricey but you get excellent service and results. I've seen tile laid by other companies that looks horrible (crooked, uneven lines), but my tile always looks great. I'm in the process of doing remodeling and this is my one-stop shop for flooring. Now, I hope they also do tile around tubs and showers. If so, I'm set!

Description of Work: I've been a huge fan of the Peoples for several years. Robert and Julie have completed 3 different flooring / tiling projects for us over the last 3 years, providing low-key high-touch guidance early in the project, exceptional customer support and on-site service, on-time and high quality installation. The Peoples have installed high-quality engineered wood flooring, some astonishingly good tile (friends are convinced it's travertine), a lovely slate fireplace surround, and have completely renovated our master bath (tile on the floor, bath surrounds, shower enclosure, etc.). This last project was relatively small (engineered wood in our master closet and tile in the utility room), but the Peoples treated it with the same respect and professionalism of a far larger project. Their craftsmen are professional, timely, and clean up after the work. We'll work with Robert and Julie to coordinate our kitchen reno in the near future. I simply can't speak more highly of the quality of work, the personal attention and support, and the value of the Peoples' service. Description of Work: Robert installed a new wood and tile floor for us and we couldn't be happier with the results. The quality is far better than other companies we have used - especially their attention to detail. They used 1/16" grout lines on the tile and it matches up perfectly. They also installed new baseboard (I supplied it for them), because I can't stand the standard "1/4 round" molding most companies use. He didn't charge any extra fir this request, which I really thought was pretty cool. We will 100% use his company again in the future.

Description of Work: Robert patiently spent hours listening to and addressing our requirements. Rather than having to go to a show room, Robert brought the wood and tile samples to our home. Floor Coverings removed all our carpet and replaced it with wood flooring. Additionally, they retiled our kitchen and guest bathroom and tiled both the floor and shower in our master bathroom. The job took two weeks to complete.
