The workers were efficient, polite and friendly. The carpet and baseboards look great.

It went great. They did a fabulous job.

Robert came to the house for a free consultation and to measure. He brought in a wide range of samples and took his time reviewing the pros and cons of each type of flooring with us. Then he provided estimates of the top 2 or 3 floors we selected. Once we choose, he worked with us on interest free financing for a year so that we could get the hardwood flooring we wanted. Then his wife, Julie, called us the next day to schedule the work in the time frame we wanted. A week later, we had the installation crew at the house at 9:30 AM. We let them in the house and then left for the day so they could work their magic. We came home at 5 PM to beautiful floors, a mop kit with instructions for cleaning and caring for the new floor, and flowers from Robert and Julie thanking us for our business. We could not have asked for a more seamless, pleasant experience.

From the start, Julie and Robert Peoples' business had my trust. They were warm but extremely professional, taking time to explain and explore all my options as far as work scheduling, materials selection, and costs. Their work staff are very skilled, considerate, and extremely efficient. It was obvious that they were making every effort to do the job right. I'm very pleased with my new tile and will call them again when I replace the carpet in another portion of my house. Julie and Robert checked in with me during and after the install to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Another big plus is the Floor Coverings International "mobile showroom," which brings all the flooring samples you can imagine to you, so you can see them in your home at your convenience!

I never thought they would be able to move any of my big furniture and piano, but they got the job done in one day. They finished it all and I was amazed. They were very efficient and did not waste time. If there are any connections for phone or television, they ought to be careful and cautious so they do not pull out the chord or connection. They accidentally pulled out my chord and disconnected my phone line. I did not want a thick under padding and instructed them not to give me one, but they gave me a thick padding anyway. I wish they would have followed my instructions. I think he thought he was doing me a favor, but that is not what I wanted.

We didn't end up going with them because they were too expensive. The company we did go with ended up being good and we got it for the price we liked.

It went exactly as planned. They came on the day we chose and removed the carpeting from the living room and hall, then installed laminate, transition strips and quarter-round molding. This was all done in 5 hours. The carpet installers came a week later (our choice) and removed the old carpet from the 3 bedrooms and then laid the new carpet. This was done in 4 hours.

The installation took only 1 day and was done while I was at work. When I arrived home, it was completed with no mess. The installers did a great job especially on the difficult stairs. The carpet looks good with my other flooring and paint and adds warmth to the home. I have since painted most of the interior and this carpet looks great with the new paint. One to two weeks after installation, I noticed some ripples in carpet on stairs and loosening of tacks. I have contacted them and they have not hesitated returning to correct the problem.

When I initially contacted Robert and Julie Peoples about performing the work, Robert requested that I e-mail him some photos of the existing slate floor and the dimensions of the individual tiles in the pattern so that he could try match what was already installed. It took him about two weeks, but he found exactly what we were looking for (something I did not expect !). We were trying to have the tile installed prior to moving into this home, which gave Robert and his tiling crew just over two weeks to order the tile and install it. I was very pleased that he was able to work us in. The tile installer, Raul, and his team were very professional and did an outstanding job of laying the tile in all three rooms. Unfortunately the pattern that Raul was replicating (from the main living area) ended up using more tile than was anticipated when Robert quoted the job. Robert did not hesitate to correct this situation, and had the additional tile ordered and on site in a couple of days so that we were still able to meet our move-in deadline. The end results are spectacular and we have received several positive comments from visitors and friends.

Robert & Julie Peoples and their staff were superb to work with. Robert brought numerous samples of wood for us to choose from. The wood was installed impeccably. Furniture was moved expertly and then replaced expertly. Extra care was taken where wood of living/dining room met tile of kitchen. Installer chipped out tile that showed under the door and replaced it with wood so that when the door was closed between living room/dining room all you could see was wood. This was an unexpected bonus and one we really appreciated. Everyone was always on time. Karla, the scheduler, got wood installers and tile installer here on the same day at the same hour which was most convenient for us. The two tiles were replaced beautifully. The grout is a fabulous match--and the old grout was more than a decade in age. You can never tell the tile was replaced. Rug pads were ordered and came exactly when they were promised. Everything was done professionally and with much personal attention and care.

FCI is a little more expensive that several other quotes we received, but the service and quality of the work justified the slightly increased cost. Being able to see large samples, several times, at our convenience, under varying lighting conditions and against our furniture, was a huge value add for the firm. The craft personnel selected for tile work and hardwood installation were high quality and hard working.

I had water damage on some flooring in my bedroom from a shower pan leak. Since I have wood floors throughout most of my house, it was really important to find the same wood that would match the rest. FCI came to my house and owner Robert Peeples was able to identify the manufacturer and style even though it was about 8 years old and installed by another company. The next day they called to confirm that they were able to procure the wood I'd need and provided a written estimate. I obtained one other bid for the same flooring that was a bit more expensive from another company and went with FCI based on both price and their excellent track record. I've used FCI before - 2 or 3 times now. This time went like all the others, very smooth and professional from start to finish. The installation was done beautifully and they did a great job in cleaning up after themselves after the work was done.

This is an excellent company for carpet sales and installation! A major difference between these folks and the major competitors is that the owners run the business, and actually come to your home with the carpet samples to help you select the style, quality and color that will work the best to meet your needs and match your home. If you've ever tried to select carpet at a large home improvement store, you know how hard it can be to visualize how a certain carpet will look in the home. Robert Peoples, one of the owners, came to our home and spent a considerable amount of time showing us different options in order to find the best choice for our home. He was very helpful, and really didn't try to upsell or lead us to any particular brand or product. The installation was completed as scheduled, with great customer service throughout the process. The installers were efficient, neat, and professional. The finished product looks great! We are very, very pleased!

They work was excellent. The cost was higher than what I thought it would be. The people were very pleasant and prompt. The owner offered to and did make adjustments when there was a cost increase. They were very accommodating and professional.

It was fine at the end of the day. I originally wanted to have the laminate to go through to the bathroom to save money, but then changed my mind and decided that tile in the bathroom would be the prudent route. The work had to be rescheduled several times during the summer because of the rains, but when the subs that work for Floor Coverings finally did the work it was done professionally and quickly. The floors look nice. Floor Coverings is a bit pricey and I would not recommend them for small jobs like mine. They should be used for large jobs in your house...i.e. redoing the flooring in several rooms or a very large area.

Robert Peoples came to our home bringing samples of hardwood flooring. He explained the hardwoods and the pros and cons of each one. His knowledge of hardwoods is extensive and we very much appreciated his candor and honesty. We also can't say enough about the crew he sent and their outstanding workmanship. Romeo and his crew were very professional and except for a brief lunch period, they worked every second they were here. Each person knew exactly what he was to do and when to do it. They went right to work the minute they arrived and worked like a well-oiled machine, completing the job in 9 hours and on the same day! We could not find a flaw anywhere. Robert and his wife Julie had told us they are very particular about who they use and never use crews that are just "picked up" off the street. We highly recommend Robert and Julie and Floor Coverings International in the Austin area. Robert and Julie are accommodating and professional in every way. You will not be disappointed.

Robert came out to the house to understand my flooring needs. He measured and we discussed alternatives. He made recommendations and I made my selections. A few days later, Robert had a bid for me, but he wasn't truly pleased with the flooring material that he had made available to me. I received some bid from a few other places with store-fronts. I briefly discussed these other bids with Robert. He had had a couple of weeks to think about my house and my flooring and had gotten some flooring samples that he thought would be better. Robert brought these out to the house where he and my designer made great choices at a better price than was originally bid. Some preliminary undercutting was performed to existing fireplace to cut down on dust, tile was put in (3 days), wood flooring (4 days) and carpet (2 days). It took 2-3 weeks to get started due to tile installer availability, which fit into my time line. Work was completed 3 weeks after work started.

It went great. Robert and Kevra kept us informed of what all was going on. We put a lot of trust in them to do the project while we were gone, but when we got back we so pleased with how everything went. The hardwoods look awesome and the new carpet rocked. Robert really took his time when we chose what type of wood we wanted in the house. He walked us through a million samples until we chose one that was perfect. Then from the start he advised us of what to look for and what we needed to do to ensure the hardwoods would last a lifetime. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of the work and customer services that Floor Coverings International provided.

FCI gave the most professional estimate, asking many questions and showing a thorough knowledge of the product and installation. By the time they gave the estimate, I'd already decided to use them almost regardless of price (although they turned out to be almost the lowest!). Robert was careful to explain that the new flooring wouldn't color match due to aging, but that the job could be planned to avoid bad sightlines. This would involve taking out more Bruce flooring than others had estimated, making his price even more attractive. The job was very professionally done, leaving nothing to be asked for in terms of better workmanship. Tile work went somewhat slowly, but wood flooring was F-A-S-T. FCI even had the shoe molding delivered early so I could paint it before installation (we had a LOT of molding!). The only issue - more of a problem for the installers than us - was that they ordered flooring thinking it was 30sqft/box when it was 25. This meant the installers had to return.

Robert Peoples came to my home with tile samples, which made it very convenient and easy for me to pick out a tile that matched my surroundings and the current color scheme in my home. This is a wonderful, personal service. This is an outstanding flooring company for two reasons. First, the quality of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism are all excellent. This company uses very high quality installers who do excellent, careful work. Second, the customer service of this company is also outstanding. Robert was very personable, helpful, and honestly and promptly answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. It became apparent that Robert has a great deal of experience and knowledge in this field, and he gave me some invaluable advice about the selection of color for my floor. This is one of the finest companies I have ever worked with.

The job was done very professionally, efficiently, and inexpensively. They completed the work on time, and were generally very pleasant to deal with.

FCI performed the demolition of existing wood floors and tile and replaced our wood floors prior to our arrival to Austin. They were very good working with my wife to select the floor she wanted. They were very punctual and their estimate was very close to the actual invoice we recieved at completion. We would recommend CFI for their professionalism, punctuality, and quality of work. Robert and his wife Julie were great and have become a great resource for other jobs we are doing in the house.
