They did a great job. They arrived early, communicated clearly, were well-stocked and professional.

We had an excellent crew of movers! Ryan, Itzachk and Mark were awesome. They were super professional, very careful with our belongings, trustworthy and super efficient. They utilized their time as best they could so we felt as though we were fairly charged in the end. None of our belongings were damaged. They were a really pleasant crew to work with and we would definitely recommend them!

They were phenomenal and so good. They did everything they said they were going to do. They run a first class operation. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. They guys were attentive as they could be and they were out of their way. Their pricing was excellent.

We had used North Star a couple years ago to move our offices and were very pleased with the quality of services they provided. When we decided to move our residence this year, we hired them again. We were reminded how incredibly professional and expedient they are -- no time wasted, and they work very hard. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of their service AND the price. The young men who moved us -- Robert, Jonathan and Cristian -- were terrific guys who did a GREAT job! The gentlemen who initially came out and gave us the quote asked good questions which enabled him to be very accurate on the quote. There were no surprises on moving day, and the final bill actually came in LESS than the quote -- almost unheard of.

Movers were prompt, courteous and professional. They were dealing with a 92 year old woman. They were kind and understanding to her requests. They treated her property with care.

That was good. They were punctual, everything went well, and I have no complaints.

These guys were awesome. Seriously. A million times better than any other movers I've ever used. They were fast, they didn't break anything, and in the end, it turned out to be way cheaper than their estimated price. Much less expensive than any other move I've had in the past, and this is the first time that nothing got damaged.

Northstar Moving did an awesome job and from the get go they were top-notch in customer service, very personable and helpful throughout the entire process. I acquired several quotes and Northstar was about average, but from the experience I had and the service I received the cost was well worth it. It also helped that a few close friends had also recommended them. I spoke with Vanessa when I first called and she was very thorough and answered all my questions. Northstar was one of the few companies that I compared that actually offered an on-site estimate without me having to ask. Many of the others I had to ask or they simply didn't offer it. This service certainly helped in showing me that they really want to provide great service and also made a stronger impression with professionalism. Ron Cohen was my estimator and he was helpful, knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions, even when I felt I was asking him silly questions he answered them thoroughly. He encouraged me to check out their storage facilities and when I did I was shown around by Vanessa, who was again helpful while I checked out the facilities. I had the opportunity to also speak with the staff up front who I apologize for not getting their names, but they were always in a good and helpful mood when I would go there to purchase boxes and packing supplies. They also gave me a discount on the supplies which was really good too. I had purchased their deal on Angie's List and used it on moving day. That was a big savings for me and that day the crew was awesome. Jonathan, was the lead and his team included Antonio and Juan Z. From the start of the day, Jonathan called me 20-min prior to their arrival and they were at my apartment promptly at 8am. We had a minor mixup in terms of my location but that was easily resolved. Jonathan was very thorough about the process and how it was going to go and from 8am on they moved all my boxes and packed up my furniture and remaining items within 3 1/2 hours. They took very good care of all my fragile items, valuable pictures, mirrors and furniture and packed them really well. I was amazed at how quick they brought everything down to the truck. The one item that I was most concerned about was my armoire and was mainly worried about them carrying it down the stairs. When I first had that delivered the delivery guys used straps to carry it up, so I assumed that they would do the same bringing it down. Antonio and Jonathan brought it down on their own with no added accessories to help them, simply amazing. Ha! This is one of the reasons it's worth paying professional movers. Once everything was moved and all the payments were squared away, Jonathan was kind to mentioned that he would text me the amount of crates that my items would fit in. I was a bit concerned that it would be more than the 3 estimated. As mentioned he texted me later in the evening after they unloaded the final count of crates that they placed my items in. There are a few more things I need to square away in terms of my storage but all in all, my experience with Northstar was topnotch and I would certainly use them again. Thank you for helping make this experience seamless and easy.

I actually think using Angie's List enabled me to have a better experience. I found NorthStar Moving on Angie's List, and I was happy overall with their service, and their price was very competitive. They were punctual on arrival, they got our items to us very quickly, and staff was friendly/helpful. A couple of items had some damage, but it was pretty minimal given the amount of stuff we moved, and the distance traveled - probably less than $50 of damage overall. Responsiveness to phone calls was not always the best from the person in charge of our move, but I was able to get most of my questions answered by calling and talking to the office staff, who were very helpful. The guy in charge of our move did answer my remaining questions - just not always the same day. Overall, it was fine, and given the competitive price, I was pretty happy with NorthStar overall.

NorthStar Moving Co was a pleasure to work with from the associate at the office, Stefy to the 3 men who physically moved my home - everyone was a pleasure to deal with and very professional. NorthStar was recommended to me by a colleague and I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone. I could not have asked for a better moving team and experience during the crazy holiday season. Stefy was a delight to deal with while coordinating my big move. The guys/movers (I feel horrible that I waited too long to write this review and now forget their names!) were right on time, hardworking, nice and helpful in every way. I really appreciated their professionalism and their attention to detail. They were quick without being sloppy and moved all of my belongings with zero damage. A very pleasant experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend NorthStar Moving Co.

We received estimate from the mover. Everyone explained everything very clearly. The phone representative also voluntarily offered information about discount on Angie's List that I did not notice. We received a preliminary quote over the phone and got a not to exceed quote from the estimator at the time of the visit. We decided to use a local company because our move was very local but would definitely consider them for further move.

They were AMAZING. They arrived on time, packed quickly, were very organized and methodical, packed the truck, drove across town, and unloaded into the correct rooms. Not a single thing broke, including dozens of delicate glasses. They came in under budget and were extremely professional the entire time. I would recommend them to everyone! We will be using them again when we move in the future.

Everything went great with Northstar. They were very accommodating, punctual, careful with my belongings, and easy to talk to. I had to change the date a couple of times as well as the amount being move and some of the details with the storage company. I was able to reach the move coordinator on the week-end to work out the final details. Everything they were responsible for went smoothly. I will definitely use them again in the future.

The scheduled time is from any time between 8:00 - 10:00 am. They called me at around 7:30 am and arrived at 8:20am. I lived in a 2 bedroom apt, and three men came help us move. After they arrived, first, they explained the contract, and what they would do, how much the cost would be. This was done quickly in less than 10 minutes. Then they start the move right away. They moved all the boxes, furniture, bed frame, mat, kitchen items, my plants to their truck. They moved my washer & dryer down and then moved the landlords' washer & dryer up from the garage, and they installed. This was very nice! As you can image, many movers wouldn't. The load was done in 1.5 hours and we moved on to the destination. This was a local move, so they arrived at the new address in 30 minutes. Then they finished the unloading in about an hour. Finally we went through the paper work together, made the payment and tipped. The total amount was 3 hour times 140 per hour = 420. I bought the angies list coupon (50 value 150), so the final amount was 320. They didn't ask for tips, but we did because of their good job. So for a 2bedroom move, you are looking at somewhere around 400 dollars including tips. It was a nice experience. Thanks!

Found a less expensive moving company.

I believe this is a solid company with a very positive experience - a little attention to detail on the backside would have made it a perfect experience 9/10 Since my initial report I have been contacted by North Star and they have made every professional effort to attempt resolution to my small problem with an otherwise excellent experience - as I have written previously I have no hesitation in recommending this company

It was a good experience. unfortunately when I booked the moving date, they misspelled the street of pick up, so the movers were 1 1/2 late. Nevertheless once they got to the destination, they were very courteous and quick.

My experience with NorthStar was excellent. I first called for scheduling which is fast and easy. I did reschedule and that process went smoothly. The scheduler reminded me that they are running specials in Angie's list and I should purchase it, which I did. The company called me two days earlier to confirm. On the day of moving, three movers (Jonathan, Chris, and Ivan) came punctually. The moving went very well. Jonathan and his team were professional, honest and reliable. I was very happy with my moving experience, thanks to NorthStar.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was good. The big deal was for $50, for $150 worth of moving service but I ended up spending more than that. They were young and worked very quickly. When the guys on the truck were well directed, they worked very quickly. Their price was probably a little high. It was average.
