Tons of things broken or scrapped up. Notably, my need footboard was packages alongside something with nails still in it and got scratched up real bad. The headboard also now has a snapped specialized screw that makes it fall off if it’s not against the wall. Would not recommend. They clearly didn’t have regard for my things.

Had two men crew came on new year day. Moved local within austin. Was recommended by a friend and they do not disappoint. did an awesome job moving. I would highly recommend. Thanks guys

Very poor and disappointing experience - please be sure to do your due dilligence and look past the "glowing" reviews because I don't want others to be left high and dry like I was. I worked with three gentlemen - Alex Michaels, Edgar Contreras, and Harmindeep. During the quoting process, they were easy to work with and seemed to be very accomodating - I greatly appreciated their efforts at the beginning of the process. Once I confirmed the move and we began the process of moving my stuff from SF to DC, things took a sharp turn. I must warn you to be very aware of this Delivery shuttle they charge for that they tell you "will be refunded" if not used. Essentially, as part of the payment they charge you $775 ahead of time in case their 18 wheeler is unable to fit at the destination - if it does fit, they refund you. After upwards of 10 calls with Alex, he confirmed to me that they will first try to move using the 18 wheeler and only if they are unable, will I be charged the $775 - this sounded good to me and understandable. Just to ensure that their 18 wheeler had plenty of room to unload and that they wouldn't need the shuttle, I had them deliver to Maryland instead of DC because I knew there would not be room in DC and I couldn't afford the risk of paying $775. Alex agreed this was a good idea so I purchased my own Uhaul (much cheaper than the $775 they charge, what a joke) to meet them in Maryland and transport my stuff on my own to ensure they do not need the shuttle and I will not be charged the $775. Low and behold, my furniture arrives today and they already went ahead and got the shuttle, charging me $775 without ever trying the 18 wheeler and never bringing this to my attention even after I stressed how important this was to Alex. Harmindeep called me and I was admittingly very frustrated by this unexpected charge - he told me "it was not their fault" and waived by 3% credit card fee instead (how nice of your Harmindeep!!!) All and all just a very poor experience - they seem great on the front end but things will change once they are in possession of your belongings. Really a terrible way to begin my move back to the east coast to take care of my sick family member - $775 that I could have really used right now. Hoping no one else has to go through this.

I have moved twice with NorthStar Movers: once from LA to Irvine and once within Irvine. I was super happy that we used NorthStar in both cases. The movers were efficient, careful and polite. Nothing got damaged during either move, and moving day was stress free. Ron Cohen was our estimator for the moves, and he gave us good advice about where we could sensibly save money in preparing for moving day and what things were best left to the movers. After our first move with NorthStar, I was pleasantly surprised by the final bill as we had gotten estimates from other companies that were significantly higher.

Great! Arrived on time, were very friendly, moved us out of one house and into another. Everything went really well. Completed the job in the time estimated and below the estimated cost. Very easy to work with this company.

We had a great experience with NorthStar Moving Company when we moved from Los Angeles to another city 90 miles away. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we got our estimate via a video call (which was our request). I was satisfied that we were getting a good price with a professional company. I had many calls with Ron prior to the call to discuss the details of the upcoming move and he was always very honest and fair with me. On the morning of the move, the 4 man team arrived on time, and they all wore masks which we had requested. The team leader, Emmanuel, was so accommodating and polite. All the guys worked hard and were very careful with our things. We really appreciated their efforts and the fact that none of our belongings were damaged in the move. In the end, we were so happy that we had hired this company. Highly recommend!

The company blocked the street and laughed as traffic built up. Only after the garbage truck began honking did they move the front of the truck—but not the back—out of the street. After a bad review, the company responded that we (the ten people in their cars whose path is blocked?) were not customers and should have called the office. Then they began a campaign to get the review removed.

THESE PEOPLE ARE GREAT. I just moved 15 months ago, so I had a reference between the wy it shouldn't be done and how Northstar did it. I felt absolutely comfortable every step of the wy because of their professionalism. They came to my place and provided a fixed price move, which was in the middle of the four quotes I got, and the only one were someone visited me. The people that picked my furniture up were ON-TIME, professional, and wrapped everything in a way to assure no damage. Same on the delivery, ON-TIME, professional, and cleaned up. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

VERY WELL, LONG DAY, BUT IT WAS A STRESS FREE MOVE FOR ME.

I used Northstar for my last move 6 years ago and while expensive the service was good. So I reached out for a quote last month, got an email back asking me basic questions which I answered. No word back so I followed up. Once. Twice. Three times. Called then emailed again. Not one answer over the last month. Would not hire again and speaks to their uneven (at best) customer service.

The representative who took my details before the move, mistook some information and there was some misunderstanding. when the movers came in and they did not expect the amount to things to be moved because they were basically misinformed by their representative. They were frustrated, and we were frustrated as well, but it was basically due to a misunderstanding, but at the very end, they work hard for us and work double for us. They worked 3 shifts to move our stuffs to Long Beach. The price I would say it was fair. They arrived when they said they would be there. At the end, we made a point to tip them properly for the hard work that they have provided for us.

It was my third time using NorthStar for a move. The guys (Serio, Branden, and Jimmi) were great. They did a walk through with me beforehand as I told them which pieces were ready to be moved. They were careful with all of my furniture (even the cheap stuff), maneuvering it through tight doors and down three flights of stairs. Would recommend them to anyone and will use them again in the future.

I was able to get a same day callback for my moving inquiry and schedule the specific day. The crew showed up in the estimated time window as expected. It took approx 2 hours to pack up my apartment and the crew was very courteous and professional with my items. After the 45 minute drive to Anaheim it took about 90 minutes to unload the truck and set up the bedroom. I have used Northstar twice before now and would highly recommend them to anyone needing moving services in Southern California.

Randy, Victor, and Arlenik were fantastic. They arrived early and moved everything efficiently out of my old apartment and into my new place. Everything was properly wrapped, packaged and promptly reassembled at my new location. I would definitely recommend them to use for my next move.

There's a reason I keep using Northstar when I move. The crew (headed by David) was great. They arrived on time, worked very efficiently and did a pretty extensive move without any overtime, Moving can be incredibly stressful and these guys make it easy.

Corey, Christian, and Coco showed up at 7:30am ready to work. They did a walkthrough before beginning to get a feel for what I wanted/needed. They made sure to wrap items thoroughly and with care. They worked effectively and efficient despite the heat. They checked in with me throughout the move to ensure they were putting things in the correct places. I would absolutely recommend NorthStar Moving and appreciate the work these three did!

I found the whole crew to be polite, clean, careful and communicative - Manny was the great crew leader. They did an excellent job and reflected the same quality I experienced with the estimator (Ron) and the customer service team. They’ve moved several neighbors recently and have earned the great word of mouth.

The company gave us the time and date we wanted even though we called at the last minute. The truck arrived on time, the men were friendly, courteous and professional. They moved our items in a deliberate and careful manner and made the experience pretty care-free. These young men were the best! I would definitely use North Star again and/or refer them to my friends.

Our move was made incredibly easy thanks to NorthStar's team. This is the second time we've used NorthStar and we will continue to use them for our future moves. Brandon and his team were awesome, they worked quickly but carefully, and got everything moved in less time than we expected and in perfect condition! Brandon is a superstar, the guy is a one-man wrapping packing carrying loading and managing machine!

I first found these guys years ago from their good reviews on Yelp. This is the third time I've used them. They have always done a great job. Reasonable pricing and professional movers. They really hustle to get the move done quickly, vs many other movers who drag their feet to pad the time you have to pay them. Highly recommend.
