Northstar Moving Company was stellar and we will absolutely be using them for all of our future moving needs. They called ahead of time the morning of to give me an ETA for their arrival. This was super helpful as I knew exactly when to be expecting them. They were on time, greeted me warmly and all three introduced themselves personally with their name and a handshake. The three of them were extremely efficient and had everything loaded in less than an hour. Even with that kind of efficiency they still made it a point to talk and joke with me which immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. Andrew, David and Edgar seemlessly completed the entire move in less than two hours! Great guys, efficient movers and most important an excellent representation of what Northstar appears to be, a reputable and reliable organization. Five stars all the way. Thanks again Northstar!

Everything went exactly as they said. There were no surprises and the movers on both sides were fantastic to work with and very professional!

I called Northstar moving and Steve Anthony and his crew came on time and did a fantastic job! They made the whole move a breeze and were very delicate with all of my belongings and caused no damage to anything! On top of that they were extremely fast! These guys know what they're doing, will definitely use again for my next move!

Smooth as can be. Four guys showed up on time and even called an hour in advance to let us know when they'd arrive. They took great care wrapping things and moving between places. Guys were nice, polite and asked where we'd like things to go. They even asked at the end if we'd like anything moved to a different room before they left. Couldn't be happier.

The move went smoothly and the movers did their job methodically and expeditiously.

At first things were fine, however once the move began I found the movers to be unprofessional as they played inapproriate music while my kids where in the apartment, scratched the floor at our new house and blamed the other moving company and nearly got into a physical fight with the other movers. Also a brand new apple TV has "disappeared" from our moving boxes that was not taped. Shame on me for not sealing the box. Overall they were rough with our furniture and unprofessional. I would not recommend or hire again.

Very competitive price. Packing took considerably longer than was agreed due to the movers failure to deliver the offered manpower and schedules. Forced my condo to bend its rules and me, the client, to reschedule travel plans. You get what you pay for.

Perfect. Professional and friendly. Got the move done on time. I highly recommend this company! They brought us donuts. We had a lot of old furniture and they took great care of it. Everything came unscathed and how we had it. They took care to not damage any walls or entry ways.

Use someone else! They completely overcharged me and took all day to move the contents of a packed 900 sq foot condo 30 miles away. I was charged $1500 for that! It took them 7 hours just to load the truck, but only 2 to unload it. They said it was because the condo was far off the road. But 2 movers moved even more stuff into that same condo in 3 hours, including moving it out of another place. I was paying for 3 guys, but 1 only worked half the time. He spent a lot of time on the truck and was working to service the truck that had problems with the oil. One wrapped the furniture inside, and it was complete overkill. He wrapped it as if it were shipping across country, and then charged me for the shrink wrap and tape! I believe that was to add to the time, thus enhancing the charges. The second guy did most of the work, carrying the wrapped furniture to the truck. I felt bad for him. The only two pieces that weren't wrapped were damaged, and I'm still looking for pieces of furniture that are apparently forever lost. I've moved quite a bit, and this was the worst move experience ever! Don't use them!

Andrew, David, OJ and Ken were absolutely fabulous. So professional from beginning to end. They all really cared about our belongings and were extremely efficient. I would hire them again in a heart beat and will recommend them to everyone.

The guys were friendly, on time, and easy to work with. I appreciated their assistance with separating the bowes, and opening them on request to better assist where to exactly move the boxes. This team worked well together and I would ask for them again on my next move.

From start to finish, the move went remarkably well. A contact from the L.A. office sent me the contract, we revised it a few times and settled on a day for the move. The movers arrived on time, and two and a half hours later, we were done. The gentlemen were pleasant, very respectful of our things, and made sure we knew when we would be charged for extra time or materials. I have moved a lot in my life and never had I had such a smooth day.

Very professional! They communicated before arriving, their truck was clean and well stocked. They were polite and careful of my things. Upon arrival they set the pathway for the furniture and boxes. No damage of any kind. Moving can be worrisome and stressful. They made this move well managed. Thank Angie's List for recommending this moving company.

This was our second time using NorthStar Moving and they did a great job again! The team was professional, courteous and hard-working. The team leader, David kept the team on track and the process organized. I highly recommend this moving company and would definitely use them again in the future!

The movers were supposed to deliver by no later than Thursday, 8/24/17; on Wednesday, 8/23/17 after hearing nothing, I contacted NorthStar to find out what time on 8/24/17 the movers would arrive. I was told at that time that the movers were running behind and they may not arrive until after Friday, 8/25/17 but that I would get a call daily with an update. On 8/24/17 I did not get a call, so on 8/25/17 I called NorthStar again. At that time I was told that the movers would not arrive until early the following week. On Monday, 8/28/17 I received a call from the mover telling me he was on his way and would be arriving the morning of Tuesday, 8/29/17. Upon arrival, the first thing the mover asked for was payment. Only two movers were there to unload. I had the AT&T repair arrive at the same time, so after giving the movers payment, they began unloading as I dealt with AT&T. I noticed that several boxes being brought in were destroyed. I tried to make the mover aware of the issues, but he’s English wasn’t very good and he didn’t seem to understand my concern, and the other mover was on his phone; so, I contacted NorthStar’s main number and told them I would definitely have damages to report. I was told to call them back once everything was unloaded and they would direct me on how to handle the claim for damages. The one mover was not careful at all and kept hitting my walls (my house is a brand new custom-built home) and scuffing the stairwell. The second mover was friendly and competent and seemed concerned when I pointed out a few of the issues that I notice immediately and said that I would need to notify the main office. As they finished the unloading, one mover showed me that parts were missing/broken on the refrigerator door and that he could not reinstall it (NorthStar on the California end had taken the doors off of the refrigerator and packed it). As the movers were getting ready to leave, the one asked/told me to fill out a survey and then stood over me watching how I would rate them; I was completely uncomfortable and felt obligated to give a good review. Once the movers left, I went to look at the refrigerator (which is now taking up substantial space in my garage) and when I turned the door around I found a huge gouge in the interior of the door. The mover never even indicated that there was any damage other than the missing/broken hinge, and he had left the door against the wall with the interior not showing. There are also several small dings in the stainless steel and plastic portions of the refrigerator. Later that night when I went to look at other items, I found many broken/destroyed/damaged. The entire electronics unit of the elliptical machine had been ripped out and place in the mounting like there was nothing wrong with it. My neighbor stopped by to ask how things went and said that when the movers first opened the moving van he had looked in and that my boxes and containers were completely crushed; he said he knew there had to be substantial damage. In summary, this entire moving experience has been horrendous: 1. unacceptable delay in delivery of household goods with no notice 2. discovery of significant damage upon delivery of goods (rending many items a total loss) 3. unloading damage to a newly built custom home 4. insufficient labor for delivery and unloading 5. unprofessional delivery personnel (i.e. demanding payment upon arrival, hovering as I complete the review, not mentioning damage) – just one mover was friendly and competent DAMAGE TO HOUSE: Stairway wall Hallway wall Stair tread Bonus room wall DAMAGE TO PERSONAL PROPERTY DURING MOVE: -LG refrigerator (door could not be put back on and the interior was destroyed; this was packed by NorthStar) and several dents and dings to the exterior -Destroyed neon light -Destroyed electronic panel on elliptical machine -Numerous broken glassware items -Cracked back of mirror (packed by NorthStar) -Hole in shelf (packed by NorthStar) -Destroyed bicycle tire and bent rim -Numerous boxes/storage containers were crushed/destroyed Per the terms of the contract, I was paid $100/day for each day they were late ($500) and the insurance only covers $0.60/pound for damages to personal property which doesn't even cover 10% of the cost to replacing/repairing the fridge and the elliptical!!! NorthStar did cover the cost of repairing the drywall damage to my brand new home.

It went very very well, better than expected. My new furniture was protected and all organized well. This company saved us big time.

EXCELLENT - Couldn't ask for more professional or courteous group. They did an incredible job wrapping everything carefully and moving quickly. I did the angie's list coupon for $310 for 3 guys, 26' truck for 3 hours min and 25% off wrapping supplies. It was $115 hr after, in 15 min increments. They wrapped about 8 items or so and my total cost was $419. That was for a move that started at 8:45 and ended around 12:15ish (don't remember exactly). We even stopped at my storage unit (I had pulled everything out for them for easy loading) and we were able to do all of that and unload in under 4 hours (the new house was ~20min away). Very impressed with the service, price and professionalism. David was the lead guy and we couldn't have been more impressed with him and his crew.

I'm so impressed with these guys. Pablo, Loyd, Logan, and Moises really made this move easy and, surprisingly enough, fun. We had to move a big storage unit to two different locations and they tackled it with a great attitude and we can't thank them enough for making this easy. We've been stressing about doing this for years and had we known they were going to be this great we would have done it sooner!! Thanks guys! MAD PROPS TO THE DRIVER!!

This is to clarify an earlier review regarding lack of communication from the company. I had an issue with responsiveness to an inquiry post delivery after my initial angies list review I was contacted and the issue was very quickly resolved.

They came out yesterday to our home (old home) and got the job done quickly and us into our new home in about 5 hours (packing, loading, unloading, and unpacking). They were led by Steven who was professional and honored the price that was quoted on the phone. His team was personable and I appreciate the work they did.

Excellent - great work. Guys are super professional, fun, and fast. Would def recommend these guys! Thank you for everything and a smooth move. Edwin and team are the best!!!
