Salvador Mendez, Juan Vasquez, and John Henry arrived promptly at 8am and got down to the business of packing and moving all our belongings from Alhambra to Redondo Beach. They were efficient and accommodating. Great care taken to ensure that all our belongings were handled well and that no property was damaged in the transport of everything. If we ever move again I would not hesitate to use Northstar again.

The move was great! Ron Cohen who came to give us a free estimate was very professional and punctual. The estimate was very detailed and clear. The movers Daly Banez, Obed Chicas, Edwin O, Jose G**** and Salvador were great! They worked very hard and were very professional. They were very honest about letting us know they chipped a glass display case. it was a very minor chip but it was nice that they were honest about it. The move took 8 hours including drive time but you never heard any complain from any one of them. We highly recommend North Star and would definitely use them again if and when we move again!

Northstar Moving Company was extremely easy to talk to. They listened to my needs and carried everything out as requested. Northstar sent me three of the most incredible young men to work with. Luis Garza, Oscar Villacorta and Justin Anthony were simply amazing. I had everything packed and ready to go when they arrived. They loaded my belongs in the truck within a couple of hours, took it to storage, unloaded just as fast. the move took four and a half hours, Needless to say I was incredibley happy because my day was still not over for me but they saved me time and worry. I highly recommend Northstar and these young me to anyone that wants their move to be smooth and painless. Thank you Northstar for delivering!

A crew of 5 showed up: Daly, Antonio, Anthony, Edwin and Brandon. They were on time, fast, friendly, careful and very professional. I had no problems or complaints.

They did an Excellent Job. Punctual. Called 20 minutes before they arrived and then called when they arrived. Packed everything with wrap, etc. Moved quickly. Very nice guys. Honored the $150 Coupon we purchased. Couldn't be happier. THEY WERE GREAT! Will refer them to friends/family and we will use them again if we ever need movers.

It went really well. They arrived in the time window given, started right away and got us moved in under 7 hours. They moved all of our belongs with care and consideration. Nothing was damaged including our walls or ceilings! The three movers were very friendly and professional!! Before I moved I had lots of questions, and when I called they answered all of them and helped me figure out how to take care of the metered parking in front of our condo. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend them to others!!

Estimator came and way over estimated the cost but that's what they do because it is a not to exceed estimate. It seems that they basically double what they think it will actually cost to protect themselves. I expressed concern over a bad experience I had with another moving co so I was told I would get a VIP crew, which turned out not to be true. I had another friend who was about to move a week after me and told him if they did a good job, I would recommend them but the job itself was not that great so I told my friend to go with someone else. None of my floors were covered with protection and they charge me $61 for tape and plastic wrap. I was never warned about these charges during the estimate. They spent most of the time wrapping my furniture and I later found out that it was my choice whether or not to have it wrapped. All I was moving was my furniture yet it took 4 hours! My experience with these guys are no different than any other moving co. It all depends on the crew you get and usually only the foreman is decent and the rest of the guys seem like they are off the street. I hope to have a better and different experience next time. Update: A client care rep followed up with me and she was courteous and professional. She provided a refund for the materials and her follow up made a difference in upgrading my ratings. I may even re-consider them for future moves.

It went very well. Jovany C., Mauro S. and Salvador C packed the loose items very well and didn't give up in attempting to fit through tight spots. They were very courteous and worked very hard and efficiently. The coupon from Angie's list was a great discount.

I found Northstar here on Angie's list and I choose them for my big move from California to Texas. Moving is stressful enough with all the packing and preparing and Northstar definitely made a huge difference. Michael was very friendly. He had come out twice to give me an estimate on the stuff I had to move because my inventory had changed drastically. Even after the 2nd time, I had a few extra items that Michael allowed on the trip without any price hikes (thanks). After the 2nd meeting, Michael quoted me a very nice price that satisfied my budget, and the date was set. Our movers arrived on time in California and had everything boxed and packed within 3 hours. I had a small condo so it wasn't too much stuff to move; it was around 40 boxes and some furniture. I'm not the absolute best packer in the world so I already had in mind some stuff that I thought would not survive the trip. Come 7 days after sending everything with them, they arrived and unloaded everything into my new apartment. The movers were a little late because of some problems with the previous customer, but they still arrived not too long after the appointed time. I live on the third floor and I felt a bit bad for the movers having to climb up my 30 stairs, but they were still able to get all the boxes into place in under 4 hours. After unpacking, ripping, tearing and trashing all the boxes, to my surprise, everything survived. They did a fantastic job in transport and nothing was damaged. The movers were also very professional and very friendly and during the unpacking process; we had a great time in conversation and story telling. The only down side to them that I can even think of is their delivery window is very large for long distance moves. They are able to offer cheaper quotes to people because they package multiple moves into one shipment, thus reducing the cost to them. Unfortunately, because of this, they give you a 14 day window, which means that you can be sitting in an empty house/apartment for 10+ days, and that limbo can be very stressful. However, if you want the best price that matches high quality, nothing beats Northstar.

They did a great job. They are all personable crew and I actually had a good time. At the end there were a few broken stuff, but they were all I packed myself prior to their arrival. I'd definitely recommend them!

This outfit is absolutely stellar! Based on Angie's List ratings, we chose Northstar for moving the bulk of our stuff from Los Angeles to Palm Springs. From the very first phone call to the farewells at the end of the job, everything was professional, friendly, efficient, carefull and thoughtful. The scheduler who took our order over the phone explained everything, gave us a quote that was better than we had guessed, and scheduled us. Sunday is the best day to move within southern California because of the traffic. The crew--Doron, Edwin O. and Javier R.--called ahead of time to tell us they were on their way and they arrived promptly on time. They were curteous, friendly, asked thoughtful questions, and took the utmost care in packing and protecting our belongings. One item we were worried about was an extremely heavy cabinet that was carved and painted by artists. It is a one-of-a kind and there is no way to replace it. We had no need to worry. They took better care of it than we could have imagined doing ourselves. They disassembled it, wrapped, padded and reinforced each piece, then reversed the process at delivery. Not a nick, scratch, scuff, or smear to be found. Museums should hire this team! At delivery, they put everything where it should go and left zero mess or debris. We are amazed that they could move us from LA to Palm Springs and then get themselves back to LA in only one day! We are completely satisfied and most highly recommend Northstar. We rate them 6 stars out of 5.

Doron, Erick G and Chris O from Northstar moving helped us move today from Rowland heights to Irvine. They were very professional, and completed the move well ahead of estimated time. They also made sure that the move was done with no damages or even scratches. We had several items that had to be disassembled, and put back together, they did all that without any issues. Overall, very happy and satisfied with the move. Couldn't have asked for more. Will be calling Northstar again for our next move. Thank you so much!

We just moved TODAY and these guys were the absolute best. They were very quick and took special care of all of our belongings.
