I cannot say enough about Northstar's service - it's incredible. We ended up having to move on a very tight timeline, and the team at Northstar were there for us every step of the way. Getting an estimate was painless - 15 mins and we knew what our max cost would be. From there Junior and his team took great care of us. Every piece of furniture and other fragile items like TVs and mirrors were carefully wrapped to ensure safe travel. They moved with purpose and speed but didn't rush - exactly what you want in a mover. Once we loaded up they took their lunch and arrived exactly when they said they would. From there they meticulously put our home back together, tackling the grueling tasks of putting all our heavy furniture back together. If that wasn't all enough, because Junior and the team were so good and so efficient they finished early and came in under budget! I generally hate moving and hiring movers, but this was the best possible version of it.

I had a wonderful experience with NorthStar Moving Company! Here’s what you need to know: Are they on time? YES. I was provided with a moving window from 9am-11am and they arrived shortly after 9:30am, plus they called at 8:45am with an ETA. Also, if they arrive after the moving window, NorthStar will give you a $20 discount for each hour they are late. Are they fast? YES. They packed up my one-bedroom apartment in roughly two hours. They also took great care with all of my belongings and made sure to carefully wrap my furniture, TV, etc. Are they professional? Absolutely. They were all incredibly friendly and diligent. I’ve had some moving experiences where, quite frankly, I was a scared of the movers (but that’s another story), but all three of the movers were kind and trustworthy. As a woman who lives alone, that was super important to me. They’re also super patient. I was confused about some of the paperwork, so they called the dispatcher to clarify the nuts and bolts of the contract and didn’t make me feel rushed in any way. Junior in particular was especially understanding. As a side note, I’m moving out of San Diego and, even though they’re based in Los Angeles, they worked with me so that I could still use their services, especially since I’d already heard great things about them. In short, I highly recommend them! I’ll update this review once I’ve moved to my new place.

Junior, Wendell and Kevin came and immediately started to get busy loading the truck. First experience with a moving company and it was flawless! There's enough stress with planning the move, these guys are professional and quickly set my mind at ease. All personal items were carefully loaded, with bigger items being wrapped with moving blankets and plastic wrapping. Sincerely happy with results and will hire again.

Karan, Emmanuel and John were able to arrive exactly when I asked them to, were safe and careful with my belongings, moved through everything quickly and were really nice guys to work with over about 4 hours. This was my first time hiring movers and it went as well as I could have ever hoped and expected. A+ to these dudes. Would hire again.

Kevin, Lavonn, & Deon helped me move today. They were strong, fast, professional and didn't damage my belongings. They were also able to fit everything into my tiny storage unit. I've moved a few times in LA - this was the best experience by far. If I need to move again, I'm calling Northstar & requesting Kevin, Lavonn, & Deon by name. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. Thanks a bunch guys, you made a stressful event enjoyable.

Excellent. Junior, Wendel and Kevin were very experienced and professional and did a great job. They showed up on time, wrapped everything and cleaned up before leaving. They took extra care with fragile items and a 65" TV. They arrived at the new place in a few hours and were very efficient unpacking and placing items exactly where I wanted them. I would strongly recommend NorthStar Moving.

I have already posted the reason I gave an F review but I just want to update this review since the original post. Northstar did in fact get back to me to explain how the misunderstanding was caused, it seems there was a computer breakdown from their California office to the one in Arizona resulting in the estimator not coming to do the job. They have called me twice to sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding and to explain what occurred. I was very impressed with their follow and will now reverse my original rating from an F to a A based on how they handled this mistake. Of course I never used them because I had to get this move arranged very quickly, but should I need to seek another moving company I would certainly give them another opportunity.

The guys were troopers!! They took on the stairs without ever complaining (very unlike the movers we had before.) They communicated with us, listened to our direction, took into account our concerns about certain peices. The office was so cooperative during scheduling and bidding, they confirmed with us, and kept in touch all along. The pricing was very reasonable and an amazing value for the service we received! They were professional and respectful of all our belongings. I've moved many times in the past several years and helped my parents through many moves and they are truly the best movers we've ever worked with.

It went geat. I had a wonderful service, great workers and happy with the results.

LOUSY, Where do I start? First they come and say it i will take about 8 hours to move a 1 bed apt...I had everything packed in boxes. Then it's raining on and off so I get they have to be careful but these two guys were so slow that I had to call their office to complain. Then they want to sell me tape and plastic for $3 a roll of tape, when I complain they say I should have read the fine print...come on fine print. After loading the truck they want to go for lunch )#*#& what the ****? Ok I say, I go to my new place in Santa Clarita and when they don't show up after almost 3 hours I call their office and they say the truck broke down? What no one could call me and tell me this?? Finally, they try to say that they have to charge me double time for driving....back and for we go until I show them the email they sent where it says NO double time...DAAAA Never again. I would say to everyone STAY as far away from these guys as possible.

Everything went smoothly! Movers were professional, courteous and careful while loading and unloading our furniture. Boxes for clothes were also provided. Cost more than the promotional value because we worked them over the allotted 3 hours. Angie's List value was $200.00 and we paid $150.00 more for the extra hour, which we were okay with as there were 4 guys that moved us and they did great work !

Not very well. They just about killed a 35 year old plant. It went from being in a basket on a plastic roller with wheels to being in a dumpster and now there is 1 small 2x2 inch root that is still alive after being re potted twice. They broke a lamp and lamp shade. Not the best results in the world. They showed up on time and they were friendly.
