Description of Work: They packed up my 1500 sq ft apartment in 2 days, They then moved everything 150 miles and managed to fit everything into a 10x30 ft storage unit. There was only one thing they did not do. They did not label the boxes. It would have been nice to know what room the contents came from.

Description of Work: Northstar was outstanding in our move from a rental home to a new house across town. The estimator came right on time, gave us several options. We decided to pack ourselves to save money. They called us the Friday before the move (on a Monday) to confirm and see if we had questions. They were within the time window arriving on Monday, and were highly efficient in packing up the truck and unpacking at the new house. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Was told they would not off load to another company which proved untrue, several things arrived broken.. Would not use agin.

Description of Work: They brought three young men who moved all our heavy items (7ft tall bookcases, master and guest bedroom furniture, dining room table, office furniture, living-room furniture, huge fridge, 6 ft tall safe and other heavy items). There was a couple of scratches in the two of our wood tables, but they took off money to pay for that damage, but considering how much we had, that was really good! Plus, our fridge was so big, they had to dismantle it (take off doors, etc.) to barely squeeze it in our doors and then reassembled it back together! They were very professional and friendly. So very happy with the service!

Description of Work: Very considerate and worked hard to stay within the proposed timeline without going into overtime. It was very difficult to get my treadmill into the room where I wanted it, and they did not give up, taking it apart and putting it back together until they found a solution. I think most movers would have given up. Took good care of everything.

Description of Work: Based on recommendations from Angie's List, I chose Northstar after extensive research. I started out with high hopes. The Long Beach team was professional and did a great job. However, this is not a company I would recommend for an interstate move. The drop off was a nightmare, driver unprepared, forgot hand carts, arrived with 2 inexperienced movers who worked hard but together were not strong enough or trained to do the work. There was damage to items, items left unassembled.

Description of Work: They disassembled furniture and wrapped everything in blankets & shrink wrap. Next day, loaded truck and took it all away. They delivered when they said they would and all went well! Very nice hardworking professional guys!
