I have used this company before and had great results. Jodi and her guys did a wonderful job building a new pergola, painted it ( well, stained it), and made a new landscape bed from stone. They mulched it and added drip to the irrigation so it’s all ready for plants. They added an outlet to the back patio as well, which is now convenient. Will keep using them.

I was very happy with the entire process. Jodi designed beautiful flower beds, was interested in what I wanted and open to my ideas. The workers did an excellent job of cleaning up each day after they had finished. I love the final product and would like to hire Jodi again for the back yard.

I've worked with Jodi and crew on two projects now, the most recent being the biggest job so far. We moved into a house with a fantastic outdoor space, but the pool area needed a good bit of privacy screening and landscaping. We pretty much started from scratch. Jodi has a great eye, and you can tell that she very much loves and gets excited about her work. She came up with all the design ideas, advised us on the pros and cons of each, stepped us through the plant options (which she is highly knowledgable about), and helped us make the best decisions for our yard and budget. Her crew is wonderful and hard working to boot. Even post project, I can text Jodi with any question or concern, and she always responds quickly with advice. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, and Jodi entertained every little question I had about the process. I highly recommend Morningstar, and will be calling them for our next yard project!

Had Jodi and her crew come back to do a major winter clean up, create a stone pathway, add some nice landscape lighting and electrical outlets too. Also discussed a plan for another phase of construction for our home involving tile and paint. Another great experience and price. Much appreciated guys.

Our sloped and shaded backyard was having erosion problems. The mature trees prevented any grass from growing in this part of our yard. The dirt that was washing down the slope with each rain had clogged a previously installed french drain and was washing up onto out patio. It looked terrible! After other contractors recommended simply covering the slope in rock, Jodi (owner) gave us a comprehensive plan to install retaining walls, repair the drain, and install beautiful landscaping with drip irrigation. The whole project went very well. Her crew had clearly been working with her for a very long time. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves. Even after the project was completed, she has been helpful in coaching us through watering. I was especially pleased that she was able to re-use existing materials including stone edging and river rock. The back yard is beautiful and finally functional. We had a lot of rain this week with widespread flooding in Central Texas. The drainage worked beautifully! No erosion at all. Overall, very pleased with this project. I would definitely hire Morningstar again.

Wonderful! Jodi is a dream to work with and truly cares about the work she does. She and her team did a fantastic job, were incredibly quick, efficient, and thorough! She and Darwin have since stayed in touch to make sure all of our plants are thriving and answering any questions we have :) Highly recommended!

Great! Jodi was super in going over ideas and listening to what I was trying to achieve. She provided what I needed for the Homeowners Association for approval, and she scheduled the actual services in a timely manner. The work was great! Jodi's crew was professional and very hard-working. Juan, in particular, was amazing in his art on the flagstone veneer on the porch and steps. When I decided I needed something else for the edging, Jodi and crew got it done the very same day. They also helped me same-day with a problem that was created by somebody else in the neighborhood. You cannot beat that level of responsiveness! This was a first-rate experience as to the people and the work. I am very happy!

This is the 2nd time Jodi and her crew did work for us (following extensive retaining wall/tiered beds construction last year) and they did not disappoint! Jodi worked within our limited budget to maximize the high quality plants and turned several uninspiring areas of our yard into focal points to enjoy. Jodi really knows her desert plants and we love the variety of color and drought resistant selections. Love working w Jodi and will continue to send business her way in the years ahead.

Paid 45 for a site visit and received a vague proposal several days later with no detail for 2,800 even though I was willing to spend up to 5,000. Followed up with the owner several times requesting more detail about the job and did not get it. Essentially I paid 45 for a proposal that did not include any detail about what I would get for that. Terrible and a waste of time.

The work went as smoothly as could be expected for a job like this. There were some weather delays and some challenges regarding resurrecting the old sprinkler system but nothing out of the ordinary. Jodi and her team were both responsive and professional. I was impressed by how hard and fast her team worked in removing and hauling away all the pea gravel and river rock - it was grueling work in the hot sun but they pulled it off efficiently and with good spirit.

Moved to Austin but wanted to get a professional opinion on drainage and costs on a large renovation. Jodi met with me twice to see the property and go over several options. I took her recommendations to my realtor and was able to get the seller to pay for the drainage issues. I hired Jodi for the entire projects which included retaining walls, extend the patio and hardscaping, painting inside kitchen, touch up paint outside, epoxy, and minor carpentry repairs. The process thus far has been a delight and I'm very thankful to have met such an honest and professional contractor as her. Very excited about more future projects with this company.

Contacted Jodi to plant some trees, paint a large deck, and install a French drain. The stain she recommended looks amazing and the trees just started to bloom. Great job, great crew, highly recommend. Going to use her on phase 2 with a flagstone area and more plants.

Based on their great reputation we got in touch with Jodi to get a jump on Spring. She was very considerate of our needs, budget, and concerns. We really appreciated her in depth knowledge of plants, stone, and drainage. We decided to extend our current patio and stone it on top. They installed a French drain as well, and did quite a bit of painting and small fence repair and stain. We couldn't be happier with the results. This gives us a great outdoor and indoor living area that we can enjoy right away. And they gave us an excellent price on the painting so we had them freshen up our trim paint inside too since the exterior was so pretty. The epoxy in our garage looks very nice too. We have been saving for this phase for a long time and highly recommend them. Next phase we look forward to are more plants and some lighting and will choose them again.

It did not go well. We made an appointment over a week ago. Jodi was great on the phone. We exchanged pictures and told her our address and made an appointment for noon on Wednesday. We confirmed that morning. I took a day off of work to meet her. She said she might be a few minutes late. Then she said she could not find our address on her GPS. I find this odd as we can find our house on our GPS - so I suggested she use WAZE or Google Maps - and she replied that she couldn't because she was driving. We explained we just moved here a few weeks ago and did not our way around Austin and despite that she kept texting for directions. We gave her the cross streets and no reply. She said our appointment was for 11 and it wasn't - it was for noon. Regardless - we were waiting and trying to figure out where she was. We explained where the main streets in South Austin were and she told us she had lived in Austin for 45 years and never heard of our street. Her behavior is incredibly unprofessional. She could have pulled over - but no - she did not want to take a call so we might be better able to explain where we lived. She could have used google maps before she left but no she blamed it on us and said I was rude for texting her. I would NEVER recommend someone who is that uninformed, who cannot figure out a home that is just a mile from Zilker Park. She is obviously overworked and making excuses for why she did not show up...and to make matter worse she told us SHE lost money doing this. I took a day off of work to meet her. I would not use such an inept individual who is so unprepared that she cannot even figure out where a house is that is less than a mile south of downtown Austin.

Jodi and her team at Morningstar Landscaping constructed our limestone patio in coordination with a pool remodel in our back yard. We couldn't be happier with the results. During the planning of the project Jodi made sure to listen to our needs and help design what would work best while being cost conscience at the same time. Overall I was very pleased with the ambition her crew took to the project. Once they started it was always 100% go until the project was complete. When things needed to be tweaked the team was quick to listen and make necessary adjustments. We will be choosing Morningstar again for future projects.

Jodi’s team transformed our back yard in less than 2 weeks, taking a bare patch of dirt and making a beautiful tiered beds and stairs landscape for beauty and privacy! We will definitely use Morningstar again.

Jodi and her team were great. Her vision for landscape design is impressive and she had great ideas for our deck design, landscaping, gravel work, etc. we look forward to calling her when we are ready for "phase 2"! They also stained/painted the deck and limbed up trees. We are happy with the finished product!

Jodi came out to look at our scary drainage issues we have a high slope that goes down and can be an issue in our backyard and house. She came up with a great idea to terrace the area using masonry work with stone, laid gravel and drainage inside, and soil to finish it for plantings. They also made a beautiful pergola and stained it too. There was some exterior painting we needed as well and had them complete that too. We are very pleased with the carpentry and Hardscaping work. Jodi then put in such great plants that we are very excited for our friends and family to see this holiday season. The crew were very kind and cleaned up everyday and communicated well. Highly recommend for landscaping and all the other services. they do.

I couldn't get them to return my calls to come to my home to look at the project. If they were too busy, they could have at least called to tell me that. Really unprofessional way to treat a potential customer.

Great! The team was easy to work with and very responsive with any changes we wanted to make. We love how it looks!
