It was awesome!

This was a long process that encompassed almost one year due to a refusal by my homeowner's insurance company to honor my claim for hail damage to my roof. In the end, I secured legal representation and the insurance company paid the claim. I mention aspect of this endeavor only to highlight that Masada Roofing was there in the beginning when I first made the claim, and told me that they were willing to help. I liked that, despite the fact that it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with them, so once the insurance company gave approval to proceed with the repairs, I gave Masada the business out of personal respect and loyalty. However as time wore on during that almost-a-year time period the relationship I had with the owner digressed. Part of the issue was that I grew quite tired of the attempts to sell me various products and/or services. And his occasionally gruff demeanor during our communication certainly didn't help the situation. The latter appeared most notably when I needed an updated estimate to submit to my attorney during the legal battle with the insurance company, as he didn't want to provide it to me unless I guaranteed him that I would give their company the business. I told him that if he didn't get me an updated estimate that I would have to find a new roofing contractor because my attorney couldn't proceed with the negotiations until a new estimate was submitted, and so he relented, begrudgingly. In ways I had to "work with" the owner (to put it politely) to get what I wanted/needed done for my roof. I always felt like that should have just been a given, but it wasn't. Unfortunately. So many times I just felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman instead of a roofing contractor, and by the end that had become annoying. I never will forget the final review sheet: it was supposed to have been completed by me, but the owner filled it in, quite quickly I might add, while stating what he was doing in one long, continuous sentence! "Wha-?!", I thought to myself, but elected to just let it go ... I had a new roof and that was the primary concern. Don't sweat the small stuff, right? Yeah. Sheesh. Now. Regarding the actual work performed, I must give Masada's crew the highest marks for effort, quality and their willingness to answer my questions/address the issues that I raised. They arrived at the agreed on start time and commenced work straight away. By mid-morning the previous roof had been removed and they were ready to begin installing the new one. By 4:30 or 5 they had finished. They cleaned the associated debris and to their credit, we walked around the house and a portion of the property as a whole to complete the cleanup. As a whole the work crew itself did a fantastic job, which I suppose is all that really matters. In a way. Kinda. Eh, whichever. In the final analysis I think that if I could have just worked with the crew and not the owner, then I would give Masada an A+. As it is, I will have to go with a B+ or A-. And I give that because of the work crew. They have purportedly been together as a team for several years and it seemed to show: their work was outstanding.

We were extremely happy with the work. You can't tell from the street where the repairs took place, it really blends in well. Derek was honest, professional and efficient. We know that we will probably need to replace this 18 year old roof in the next couple of years and Derek (Masada Roofing) will be the first person we call.

I was updating my homeowners policy and the insurance adjuster noted some loose shingles or warping on my roof. The roofing company I had used in the past kept putting me off (even though he had been an Angie's company that I had used before). So I called Masada Roofing and they got right back to me by phone and was out the next morning to examine the roof and give me an estimate. The very next day he came by and did the minor repairs. My roof then passed inspection. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted Masada and several other companies for a repair quote. On the same day, Steve was able to arrive around 6:15pm. He provided a quote and was adamant that if they did the job, it would be done absolutely right. The quote was competitive with the others already received, so I asked him when they were available to do the work. I didn't expect him to say "right now," but he did. He performed the work, explained everything that he was doing and why, and he completed the repair and the cleanup around 9:00pm. Due to Masada's response, professionalism, and "do it right" attitude, I will call them again for future jobs.

To be clear, I have a great roof with roof vents and I'm happy about that. Two things I did not like: 1) The day Masada Roofing was scheduled to do my roof there was a chance of rain. It was, however, in the middle of one of our infamous summer droughts (2009) so none of us thought it would actually rain. Unfortunately for me, a rain squall completely drenched my house while the roof was off. This resulted in significant water damage inside the house to my ceiling. Masada offered to repaint the ceiling and I let them, however the ceiling wasn't dry when they repainted so there was still a large water stain. I had to argue with the owner in order to get him to agree that I was going to withhold a few hundred dollars so that I could get the ceiling re-painted to my satisfaction. It wasn't a pleasant experience for me to have to argue with someone about an issue that he caused. Eventually, he agreed and I re-painted my own ceiling. 2) The process for installing roof vents is pretty messy - and they did not offer to clean up my garage after the roof vents were installed. Consequently, even 2 years later, I am still finding chunks of wood and sawdust. I have my laundry and storage in my garage and I am a tidy person so this bothered me. Just a word of caution if you get roof vents in a usuable area - may want to check on whether they will clean it up or not.

Extremely easy to work with, job done just as promised.

Job was accomplished with minimal disruption to our home life. Cleanup of site was excellent.

The work turned out just fine. I am a property manager so I have used them multiple times and they do great work.

Although we did not go with Masada Roofing, we felt that they gave a fair and reasonable estimate. We worked with Derek Foley who was professional and appeared to do a thorough job. We will consider Masada in the future.

He was very competent, and the quote was thorough and detailed. I did not do business with him, and the only reason was because I did not buy the house. I would have done business with him had I bought the house.

It turned out fine. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it for the price that they said.

It turned out quite well. They did a good job. They do what they say they will do. They are right on time.

That turned out fine. They were quick. They did all of the insurance work. They did it in a day. I came home to a new roof. It was pretty cool. It ended up costing me more out of pocket though than they told me.

They were very professional, all the work they did was very high quality. They did a great job cleaning up. I would recommend them to others and I would use them again.

Outstanding!!! Several months ago, we discovered a severe leak in our bathroom, because of a skylight. Immediately, I contacted our insurance company, who said unfortunately there was not enough damage to merit a hail claim. I begged & pleaded with, no success. Thank God, the leak was directly over the shower. Next, I proceeded to get quotes from about 5 companies, which I picked from this list. Prices ranged from $4,200 - S6000. We were referred to Derek, when we were scared to take the financial plunge. Derek swiftly came, surveyed the roof and said it should absolutely be covered by our insurance, which he'd walk through the insurance process, if we committed to use him. Next, the same adjuster returned, agreed to the damages & cut us a check for the entire roof, minus the ridge vents. Derek and his crew completed the work, in one day.
