They are excellent. Personable, scheduling was easy, they did a great job. They screws came loose because it was an older door, but he just came over and fixed it free of charge.

They are easy to schedule. They are responsive. The guy that came was really nice. My neighbors told me they are seemed overpriced but I don’t if that’s a normal fee for my service.

Jay is great. Incredibly knowledgeable, straightforward and pragmatic in his advice. And also, exactly the sort of person you can trust to be in your home. Highly recommended.

I found Lockbusters on Angie's List, called and made an appointment. Jay came and surveyed our home, made recommendations. We decided which security/lock strategy to go with. He then delivered and installed the new locks exactly as promised. We have had them for several months now, and couldn't be happier.

Overall, things went well. The work was done professionally, promptly, and at a reasonable price. Just wish they would be a little better at calling back, but we understand this is a business that requires a ton of communication.

The whole experience was quick and easy. Within 5 minutes of placing my request with Jay's call service, he had returned my call and made an appointment for the upcoming Saturday. Jay was punctual and friendly, and incredibly nice and comfortable with my large dog. I was completely at ease and confident in the quality of work that he did - I'm super glad to recommend him to anyone!

Lockbusters showed up on time - evaluated the entire door locking system and made several recommendations. We chose to replace the deadbolt. Service was immediate, explained thoroughly and priced well. Would use them again.

We had gotten locked out of our apt and had called a local locksmith whem they arrived they procedded to try and gouge us on price. They were quickly rebuffed, a common problem with locksmiths. We then called Lockbusters and they were great, Showed up in less than 30min, very professional, explained all that he was going to do and why. He also explained the scam that the other company was pulling. The cost wasnt cheep but definitly not overpriced given our emergency situation (late at night).

Jay Sofer (owner) answered my call yesterday morning, March 25th. I confirmed the last booking time of the day -- 7pm. Because of rainy/snowy weather Jay was running around 45 minutes behind schedule. Instead of just showing up late he called me well in advance to ask if this was ok or to reschedule: something I appreciated greatly. I stuck with our schedule and he showed up as he said he would. He quickly gave me a fixed price for a bolt installation and didn't try to up-sell me on anything I didn't need. I had to take a business call but quickly trusted him to do his thing, which he did in around 10-12 minutes, FAST! When he was done he was able to swipe my credit card using the most up to date cell-phone payment technology which I also appreciated seeing as one doesn't think tech-cruncher when it comes to locksmiths. But Jay was the man and if I have a ever have a lockout emergency he is the only one i'll call, no doubt.

They are a new company but they are very good in terms of being on time and are very professional and knowledgeable about what they do. The price was decent and I liked them because they included a discount from Angie’s List and that was a thing they told me without my asking. They were very quick to respond. They came on time and they did what they had to do and the job took less than ten minutes. The guy who came knew what the problem was and he fixed it right away. He was very courteous and he knew what he was doing. Everything is still working fine without problems. I have not dealt with any locksmiths before and I do not have anything to compare them with but I knew they were good.

I can not speak highly enough of Jay and the work he performed installing a new top lock on the front door of my apartment. On short notice (about two days) Jay happily made an appointment for early Saturday morning and showed up on time. He worked quick and was friendly and courteous (even asked for a broom and dustpan so he could clean up after he was finished). Turns out the lock was not a simple installation. The previous lock had been installed wrong and Jay had to take numerous extra steps to make sure the new lock was properly installed and secure. He went the extra mile and held to the price he quoted me. I would hightly recommend Jay and Lockbusters and would hire them again if I ever needed to.

Jay took the order and arrived on time. He was very pleasant to deal with, explained what he was doing, and left no mess. We shall take every opportunity to recommend him.

We had an emergency and needed to change two locks as soon as possible. Jay was extremely quick in responding to my email on a Sunday, and while he couldn't come in on that day, he arranged to come in first thing Monday morning. He was professional, clean, nice and punctual. He got to work quickly and quietly, and changed both locks within half an hour. I would highly recommend him in the future.

Lockbusters are great. They responded after I had an awful experience with another company (LOCKSMITH GUYS - they are simply crooks). They added a deadbolt to my front door, quickly, efficiently and for a reasonable price. They explained their pricing in advance (Locksmith Guys did not) and were extremely professional and courteous.

Jay changed out two locks for us after a recent move-in. He was punctual and did not try and upsell us. He gave us some good advice and a recommendation for another vendor when he didn't handle that service (unrelated to locks). You won't be disappointed, he is quick and reliable.

Lockbusters has an excellent website which I visited where I was able to view photos and descriptions of the different types of locks available with the exact price including the installation. When I called I was able to make an appointment for them to install within a couple of days. Before arriving they called to let me know they were on their way and arrived at the scheduled time. As I had indicated I was not sure which of the locks I prefered, Jay, the technician brought several locks for me to see and decide which I preferred and what was best based on their recommendation. Although I picked an expensive lock, that was my own decision as they showed me another lock that was less expensive but would be just as strong. He did a good job of installing the lock and I am very satisfied and pleased with it. Very honest and reliable people to deal with, a completely positive experience.

Outstanding. I called and they answered immediately and scheduled at my convenience. The service man was prompt, professional, well spoken, respectful, and knowledgeable. he worked quickly and efficiently and did an excellent job. A long standing problem has been resolved. there were no extra fees or surprises. he looked at a couple of other lock problems and will call with an estimate. I am VERY pleased

A second part of the lock broke after Jay made the first fix. This was a specialized non-cookie cutter job and Jay did not give up on my lock. He explained every step of the way and that kept me calm and confident. I am completely satisfied.

The service provided by Lockbusters was top notch. He arrived right on time and installed a high quality deadbolt in no time at all. He explained the different locks to me in detail and helped me decide which one would be best for the door I had and which would be the safest in case of a break in. As a young woman living in NYC alone his detailed instillation of the lock so it would be incredibly secure made me feel very safe and happy with my decision to go with their company. He gave me the 10% Angie's list discount and was so friendly. I would definitely use them again and have their number on hand if I ever get locked out. Great service!

I was locked out of my apartment. Looked him up on Angie's list. I was so lucky. He came within 10 minutes.It was a big lock with a doorknob as part of the assembly. in a pre war door. It was old and would not budge. He worked really hard doing all sorts of things while remaining friendly and describing what he was doing. He finally had to go all the way and He somehow got the entire lock out of the door..Replaced the lock and door knob with a high quallity lock .During this whole process I asked him about a bathroom lock. He stated he didn't have time now but could come back.When he was done with the job he actually asked to see the bathroom lock!. I told him not to bother now,He was so sweet, so friendly, so professional.I HIGHLY recommend him

I wanted to feel more secure in my new apartment and knew that an excellent lock, expertly installed by a professional locksmith would allay some of my fears surrounding the protection of my family. Lockbusters and Jay Sofer have an excellent reputation on Angie's List, and deservedly so. I left the Angie's List website to scout out locks and prices on Jay's web site. I submitted an online inquiry, received a polite initial automated reply acknowledging my submission, and within 15 minutes received a live response directly from the owner. He told me what was available, what parts needed to be ordered and how quickly he would get them. We then scheduled an appointment for installation. He arrived on time, was exceedingly genuine, pleasant and professional. My experience with Lockbusters and Jay Sofer could not have been better. I can recommend Lockbusters to you highly, without reservations.

Jay was on time, and did a great job. I didn't have a replacement padlock so told him not to remove the padlock on this visit. An hour later I called him and asked him to come back because I got a padlock. I expected him to say I need to wait until the next day for an appointment. Nope, he was at my place a couple hours later and took care of the job. I would definitely use him again.

Jay forgot my first appointment but quickly made a new appointment which he arrived on time. Promised to give me a discount on top of the one for being an Angie's customer to make up for the missed appointment. Jay worked for a good 45 min. with no success. Since he was unsuccessful after he promised he would be able to fix my door , he would not accept any payment. This is a man who is proud of his work and I would definitely hire him for any of my locksmith issues.

Jay was responsive, professional and punctual. I live in a prewar building with a front door that has seen better days and he was able to install a Medeco deadbolt and new door knob with plates without too much trouble. His work is solid too. I actually was considering replacing another lock and adding a plate in the door jam and he advised me against it-- saving me a lot of of money. I wholeheartedly recommend Jay and Lockbusters...excellent experience.
