Lakeway A/C & Heating

Outstanding experience with Lakeway A/C and heat. I had scheduled an appointment with a different HVAC company who stood me up twice. I called Lakeway and they were able to get a very knowledgeable and thorough technician to my house that same day. My job involved servicing my A/C units and repairing some issues found on my home inspection. The techs quickly replaced a circuit breaker, and modified the trap on the natural gas line to the heater. Lakeway was prompt and professional. Their scheduler asked for details of the inspection report prior to sending out a tech to make sure everything was done right. The tech spoke with me on the phone and asked me to send pictures to ensure they had all the parts with them to complete the job the first time out. Thoroughly impressed with their operation. I will definitely use them again!

Chris ended up explaining a less expensive and more practical short-term solution compatible with my existing system, to see if that works first, even though it resulted in no immediate business for them. I was very impressed with the courtesy and professionalism, and lack of sales pressure, and the suggestions to save me money even on sourcing parts/supplies. I will be switching my annual service and maintenance contract over to this provider when my current contract expires.

Just as the first winter chill hit and our heating unit kicked on for the first time of the season, we noticed the house continued to be chilly even though the system appeared to be running constantly, We called Lakeway A/C & Heating to diagnose the problem. Apparently the condenser motor was completely shot and the system had been operating on emergency backup heat only (which accounted for the chilly temps in the house). Lakeway A/C's technician laid out several options for us. The first option was simply to replace the condenser motor. The second was to replace the entire heatpump unit. The third was an entirely new system, to include new heatpump, air handler and the works. The first option would be band-aid approach - good enough to get the system up and going again, but with no guarantee that something 'else' in the 11 year old existing Trane might die sometime soon as well. Option 2 would provide more reliability but with no more efficiency than the original system. Option 3 (complete new system) provided both reliability and greater efficiency. What I liked about Lakeway A/C & Heat was the fact that their technician was never pushy, but simply laid out the pros and cons of each option as well as the approximate price of each. It was up to me, the homeowner, to make the final decision. At all times they were professional and exceedingly polite. Because of increasing electric prices and the concerns about the reliability of a system that had already seen over a decade of hard use in Texas weather extremes, we decided to go with the full-up replacement. The actual installation went smoother than expected just a couple of days later. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently. The access point to our attic was in a narrow hall near the master bath. To my surprise the crew was able to remove the old equipment and install the new heat kit within the confines of that small access point with barely any muss or fuss to the surrounding master bedroom. Considering how dirty the job was, the crew left my house quite clean. At the end of the project, the primary technician (Walter), gave me a final briefing of the new system and left the necessary paperwork so I could file for a rebate with my electric company for installing a high efficiency system. All in all, for an (unexpectedly) large upgrade/repair to our home, the overall experience was a positive one. We would definitely use their services in the future.

The service manager came out and assessed the problem with our unit, ordered the coil which was still under warrantee and installed it plus replaced a missing part that was never provided from the original installation 4 years earlier. Made sure everything was running correctly then came out again to double check.

Dayton has tried to find the problem (and they've been great too; recommended). This morning we tried Lakeway for a "second opinion", and they came out, spent about 45 minutes checking out the circuit thoroughly. They couldn't figure out the problem, but gave us more good advice and told us to call them the next time a fuse blows. (It's a weird problem.) Best part: no charge! Really nice guys, very professional. They showed up almost immediately.

A/C was not cooling. Thorough check of the entire system, cleaned outside coils and added refrigerant

A/C started not working at all for a day or two at a time, i.e., not work for a couple days, work for a couple days, not work, etc. Lakeway A/C came out and diagnosed that the problem was caused by work occurring in the yard by another company. The runoff pipe was plugged and water was backing up causing the A/C to shut off. Once it evaporated, the A/C would come on again. Not a problem we had experienced before. Good customer service and an easy man to talk to. Would recommend.

Just after arriving, the heavens opened up but Walter continued with the job, removing his boots before coming inside (which he had to do a few times!). He explained the issue and the temporary fix. Lakeway A/C is to find cost of part and provide estimate for permanent fix, which is needed before I can use heat in the system.

Service was prompt, courteous, and honest. The contractor didn't try to sell me things I didn't need.I called around 10am and the contractor came and left by 2pm. I'm very impressed.

They did a good job, but price was little high.

They got out fairly quickly. I was happy with their work but I thought they were a little pricey. They were punctual and they seemed professional. However, they were a little expensive.

They did the work and also came back out to check that the work was ok. They were very prompt. I called them that morning and they were here within the hour. They were also very professional.

Called at 8 am. Here by 10 Am and finsihed by noon. Walter was excellent and I appreciate both the professionalism and the service.

Could not diagnose correctly. Ended up stating that the cooler fan for the compressor was busted - the capacitor for the cooler fan had failed - only concession I would give was that it was late in the night, maybe that hampered diagnosis. Was a very nice person, very professional.

The first time that I used Lakeway A/C and Heating they came, replaced a faulty capacitor on my condenser unit, and had my unit up and running in less than an hour from my call. The Technician was extremely competent and courteous. Even though it was after 5:00pm on a Friday which meant weekend rates, the charge was entirely reasonable. Since the technician was new, a supervisor dropped by and ensured that all was going well, which it was. Nice touch! This time when my unit broke, a couple of months after the last incident, Lakeway A/C and Heating came this time within 15 minutes of my call. The technician went into my attic, which was nothing short of a sauna, and inspected my evaporator unit and duct connections. Some dampers had closed and the technician fixed them so that they wouldn't close again. The system began working. This incident had absolutely nothing to do with the previous service call that they did but the technician refused to take payment because the problem was a quick fix, needed no parts, and because they had been here a couple of months earlier. They didn't have to that, this problem had nothing to do with what they did previously, and I was pleasantly surprised by the act. When my old unit does finally need to be replaced, I'll be calling Lakeway A/C and Heating. I completely recommend Lakeway A/C and Heating. Their work is professional and their fees are completely reasonable. So often I've dealt with A/C and Heating companies that understand that when an HVAC system breaks, people will pay anything to get out of the heat or cold. That isn't how Lakeway A/C and Heating treat their customers. It is so refreshing to have work done by very qualified professionals that charge reasonably and don't prey on their customer's vulnerability. These guys are really great! Use them!

Arrived on time....It took approximately an hour. They did an efficent job and left.

I called Lakeway A/C and heating with the hope of using the local provider just to discover it was a mistake. I was able to get a quick apointment to have them come check on an a/c problem but thatis where the good stopped. When I set up the appointment I made sure to ask that nothing be done beyond the diagnosis call without first informing us of the cost. The cost was more than double what was quoted on the hone because they did an additional test which they did not inform us they were doing to diagnose the problem. The next issue is the cost estimate to fix. The repair parts will be free do to manufacturers warranty but Lakeway A/C and heating estimated $1000-$1500 in labor. I have had 2 other estimate of $500 since then. LAkeway was looking to over charge us significantly.Fianlly, the technician that came out to the house was extremely unprofessional. I was not able to be home during the visit but my wife was home. When she mentioned the house was new to us andmay have a warranty the technician actually yelled at her saying "you should have told us that first as the charges are different!" He then acted rude for the remainder of the visit. Needless to say they will not be asked back.

There were some issues initially but the owner called and straightened everything out. They care about their business and customers.

My "midnight on Sunday" A/C emergency experience with Lakeway A/C and Heating was excellent. I really did not expect to get fast and superior treatment at that time of a Sunday evening but Chris was outstanding -- very responsive, professional and technically adept. Chris arrived quickly -- exactly when he said he'd be there -- and jumped into the attic, quickly determining what was wrong. He had the line cleared, the drip pan leak solved and the cold air blowing back in our home in less than an hour -- explaining what he was up to throughout the process. The overall experience was so positive, we've signed up for Lakeway A/C's annual maintenance program ... I want these guys keeping our A/C-furnace units in the pink. Great people, great service.

They are awesome and they get the highest ratings across the board. I have probably used them for about $5000 worth of work spread out over 3-4 different clients in the last six months. These guys give me more stuff free than they charge me for, and that is what I love about them. I have even recommended them to private residences that I don’t put any money on. They just show up, and they will fix it for free if it is something easy and can be done right there. They are not trying to get a dime on anything or everything but they are trying to get you to be loyal for them being good and honest. They are the only honest group that I have ever run into. They work over a small area so that they can keep a high level of customer service.

There were several parts we had to replace. Everything they did was exceptional and we loved them. They were efficient and showed up right when they said they would. They were over the top helpful and went way beyond. I didn't price around but it was very reasonable to me.

All work was completed the next day with attention to all details. Lakeway was as good as the best ac contractor I have used.

Excellent. Did what they said they would do at the price they quoted.
