I'm very pleased with James' work and would definitely recommend him to others. After two years of making ice with ice trays I now have a working ice maker.

Mr. Beardsley returned my phone call within 15 min. of my leaving voice mail. He was very helpful over the phone with advice and options for my broken refrigerator, clearly demonstrating competent professionalism, integrity, and product knowledge. He actually talked me out of a service call, so to speak, telling me how I could make sure the ice maker was actually turned on. Then, he said if I had any further questions, to not hesitate to give him a call back. I so appreciated the time and information he gave me. Thank you, Mr. Beardsley. I will keep your number on my phone for my next appliance repair or question! Highly recommend. You can't put a price on integrity or kindness.

Mr. Beardsley diagnosed the problem over the phone and had the appropriate part at his visit. The icemaker passed the test, but he was sure that the electric eye needed to be replaced. He did not want me to pay for the visit until I tested it for a few days to make sure it worked. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and unbelievably honest. I would recommend him highly.

I left a message for James around 11 am regarding two appliances that were not working. I had a dishwasher that wouldn't run and an ice maker that was not producing ice. He returned my call promptly and had questions about the appliances and the specific problems. He was at my house in about an hour with a new ice maker. He reset the dishwasher so it would run again and made sure it was working. He showed me how to do the reset myself if it happened again. He had everything working and was out of the house by 1pm.

The heating element in my 30 year old oven burnt out in a scary white hot event. I called James Beardsley after reading reviews on Angie's list. I left him a voice mail detailing my problem along with the part number and model number of my oven. Within a couple of hours Mr Beardsley called me back and after a few questions back and forth he said if he could get the replacement part the next morning he would be able to come out that same day to replace the heating element and if not available, he would let me know when the replacement was available. As luck would have it, the replacement part was available and he picked it up the next morning on his way to our house. He helped my husband locate and turn off the power to the oven (located outside at a different location than the electric panel in the garage). He removed the old burnt out element and installed the new one, restored power and tested the new element. He was very knowledgeable, congenial and helpful in every way. Turns out he was familiar with our neighborhood and homes and builder from 30 years ago when this subdivision was built! What a small world! We thought the cost of the replacement part was very competitive with what we had found on the web and his cost was very reasonable. We felt very comfortable with his assessment and quick resolution to our problem. We will definitely call him again if any of our other large applicances need repair.

The provider called me to hear what problems I was having. He was clearly very knowledgable about my brand of appliances. He g gave me a suggestion to try that would help determine the dryer problem. He was very honest and did not repair the washer problem because the tub was rusting and eventually would have flooded my house. He told me what was needed to have the dryer function more efficiently. I asked for a recommendation on what washer to buy. He told me and said I could ask him any questions as I was looking to buy a new washer. He was knowledgable, thorough, and honest. It was a pleasure to work with him.

What I like was his honesty. He said it wouldn't be long before I would have to have service again. He also checked out my dryer to see if it was working properly. He said I could keep it. lol I told him that I found him on Angie's List. He had high praise for this company. James said they aren't making appliances like they used to. He gave me some recommendations. Thanks, James.

James returned my call promptly then got the information about my stove model & serial number so he could call Maytag about parts. He called me back the next day to tell me that in order to change one switch on the control panel I'd have to replace the whole panel & that it would be prohibitively expensive. I really appreciated James' honesty & integrity. He could've easily come out for a service call just to make some money but he didn't. It's rare to find a repairman like that. I will definitely use him in the future!!

It went as smoothly as possible. He came when we scheduled, which was the same morning I called. He was courteous, and had the part replaced in about 30 minutes. It couldn't have gone any better.

Recommended repair would cost more replacing it. Recommended replacing it. He showed me where it was leaking so I would have no doubts. Very friendly and nice. Came to my house the day after I called. Prompt and professional.

Great service to my tenants. Responsive and punctual. Dryer was on its last legs and not worth a repair, and he was able to diagnose it easily. Very honest and reliable.

They were great. He was honest and upfront about what he could and couldn't do. Rather than make an appointment and charge me to come out to tell me he couldn't do the work, he referred me to a competitor who could. Honesty and integrity like this in today's world are rarely found - I will call Mr. Beardsley again if I ever have a repair need for any of my appliances.

James is so helpful. I called about our rental property, and he tried to help me help myself! If it were my own house, I would have tried, but with tenants on the property, I wanted to make it easy on them. James went to the house the same day, called me before installing replacement parts for the go ahead, and was polite and professional the entire time. He will be our go to guy for all our future needs.

Left message on Friday. He call me back Monday morning. He said he didn't service my area anymore but he gave me a recommendation. The company He recommended came on time and fixed the problem promptly. I was very happy.

I scheduled available times through Angie's List on Sunday evening & he called me first thing Monday morning. Extremely courteous & gracious service. He assessed the problem, gave me an estimate & after I agreed, he proceeded to promptly repair the ice maker. Mr. Beardsley keeps you informed & as all skilled folks do, he made it look easy. Of course, he's been in this business for over 20 years, so he knows what he is doing.

Responded to my e-mails and invoiced via email which is convenient to me as an offsite landlord.

Seems like a lot for one lid switch. I asked to find out if the washer was old enough/ on it's way out that it was worth looking into replacement. They didn't seem to want to spend much time and but did a good job replacing lid switch so washer is working again!

James came right out, diagnosed the problem and installed the necessary parts the next day!! Easy and nice!!

Last summer my window ac was leaking after numerous attempts to re-install in window we called James. He discussed our options, suggested a solution and we decided a service call was not needed. Honest advice from our trusted friend.

Replaced ice maker and repaired my dishwasher.

My refrigerator could not be fixed. The man was very honest, and told me I needed to buy a new refrigerator, since my 17 year old refrigerator was going to continue to give me problems.
