Description of Work: This time he fixed an oven/cooktop, although I've used him in the past for more than one washer/dryer situation (I have rental properties). Each time he has told me what it's going to cost and whether he thinks it is worth spending the money on the repairs or just replacing the appliance. He's just wonderful!

Description of Work: James was very responsive every time I contacted him. He promptly got out to my house to fix my fridge. When it needed follow-up a couple days later, he quickly came back out and didn't charge. His price was very fair. He also gave me good referrals for repairs that were outside of his expertise. I would definitely recommend him.

Description of Work: I've used James twice now for issues with my washing machine. He is someone you can really trust. The first time he replaced a part and the second time he diagnosed a separate part that was dying and made a recommendation for a new washer.

Description of Work: The man is a wizard. In less than 2 minutes on the phone, he had diagnosed the problem. Arrived on time. Problem was just as he suspected, so he had the right parts. Bam...done...fixed. And a really nice guy to boot.

Description of Work: I called for repairs on an appliance but James does not service my area. However, he was very helpful and gave me some tips that would possibly save a repair service call. I really wished he worked in Round Rock.

Description of Work: Mr Beardsley pronounced our washer and dryer, both around 30 years old, not worth repairing, thereby passing up an opportunity to do some expensive work. He took the time to explain his reasoning, which made sense to me (the washer's porcelain-coated drum was rusting through, and the dryer's motor was drawing excess current, indicating that its bearings were getting ready to seize).

Description of Work: James Beardsley was the only one of four appliance repair companies to return my call requesting an appointment for the repair of my gas drier. I would have booked with his company but I was not at home at the time of his call and he left a message saying that he would call again later. Unfortunately I did not hear from him again that day so I contracted with Sears to make the repairs. They came out that day and had the drier working within 35 minutes. Job well done.

Description of Work: My refrigerator was not cooling properly. Scheduled an appointment with James Beardsley - he appeared on time and did an analysis. He said the condenser / coils were freezing up and would require replacement but he did not recommend it because of the age of my refrigerator. Billed me a reasonable home service charge.

Description of Work: Mr. Beardsley repaired the electric eye on my icemaker a few months ago. His repair was perfect and fee was very reasonable. I called him today because my dishwasher is not draining completely. He gave me an idea to drain it over the phone and told me what to buy to help it drain better. He is not only brilliant, he is a very kind man. Have recommended him to my neighbor and will continue to do so.

Description of Work: He replaced one of the agitators in my washing machine. Knew right away what needed to be done. He was here for about 25 minutes. I trust Mr. Beardsley to fix anything mechanical!

Description of Work: Mr. Beardsley was very responsive and called me. After a discussion of what was wrong with my washing machine, he suggested that the cost to fix it would not be worth the investment. I would definitely recommend his honest approach to doing business.
