I placed a call to Mr. Beardsley and never received a call back. I left two numbers for his convenience. I left our home phone and cell number.

My elderly dishwasher eventually needed to be replaced but I appreciate his willingness to instruct me on what to try first without a service call.

Took about 15-20 minutes to take care of both repairs/diagnostics.

Mr. Beardsley was pleasant, informative and performed his work quickly and deftly. My wife and I were very pleased.

He doesn't service Neptune, but he gave me a number to another guy that he highly recommended. I ended up using them.

Great! He worked me into his schedule for a same day appointment. Very professional and very nice. Somewhat older gentleman who knows what he's doing. Got some free advice on my dishwasher while he was here. Service call was $65. Part was not cheap, but he told me that ahead of time. He had the part with him. Compressor started right up after replacement. He gave me a discount for the job from what "the estimating hand book" (which I actually saw) quoted. He also found a small leak & tightened some fittings without charge. Worked quickly, but carefully. Just old school professional service. All good!

We were very pleased with Mr. Beardsley's service. He didn't give us good news, but he was very thorough in his explanation and went over and above what was required in helping us figure out the problem and our options. I would highly recommend him for large appliance repair.

I called James to come out and take a look at my dishwasher after I noticed my dishes were not getting clean and water was standing in the bottom. James was able to come out the next day and arrived right about the time he said he would be there. After describing my problems with the machine James looked it over thoroughly and told me exactly what he could and couldn't do for the machine based on its age and what I could reasonably expect from it from now on. He was able to fix the standing water problem and even volunteered to replace a face plate that had fallen off (even though I hadn't asked him to!). As an added bonus James offered to talk with me about what sort of machine he would recommend based on my needs once I was ready to replace the machine (which I will have to do eventually). James was very nice, very knowledgeable and I felt that he was really trying to do the best job by me and not try to sell me services I didn't need or want.

We got an estimate on the repair within a couple of days.

Mr. Beardsley did an outstanding job of fixing the leak in my refrigerator and checking to make sure that it's in good shape overall. He was professional, efficient, and trustworthy. I will hire him to repair all my appliances from now on.

Mr. Beardsley responded to my initial phone call promptly and arranged a time convenient for me to meet with him. He diagnosed the problem and repaired it as he described.

On Saturday morning we put in a load of wash and the laundry room became flooded. The water kept pouring out even though the drum was full of water. I turned off the water and called James Beardsley, who has fixed basically every appliance in this house with good results at one time or another. He put me on the schedule for first thing Monday morning, after being reassured that the water was off and we were not in any kind of emergency situation. When he arrived, friendly as ever, it took him about two minutes to diagnose my problem (the pressure tubing had slipped loose from the pressure switch) and to hypothesize why that had happened (imbalanced loads from time to time due to large towel loads needed for dog rescue). He proposed we get a new, longer pressure tubing so that there was more play in the system. He offered to come back in a little while with the new tubing, but due to a scheduling conflict on my end we chose first thing Tuesday morning instead (my machine was operational in the meantime). He came as expected the next morning with the new tubing, put it on, and my old workhorse is good to go! (If you have read many consumer ratings/reviews of new washers lately you know how great it is to be able to keep a good one working as long as possible. I am hopeful that by the time this one is beyond James' help the high-efficiency front loaders will finally be more reliable!)

Mr Beardsley is very professional and nice to deal with. He came back the second time on a Saturday. I thought his charge was reasonable.

I called James on Monday, September 1st (ie. Labor Day). He was on vacation but answered the phone. He told me he was out of town but asked me to leave my information, and he would get in touch with me once he was back. He estimated it would be late Tuesday or Wednesday. He called me back Wednesday morning, and was out at the house that afternoon. After inspecting the refrigerator he discovered that the compressor had a leak and that some poor repair work had been done on it by the previous owner. He recommended that since the refrigerator was still under manufacturer's warranty, I should go that route. He also mentioned that if the warranty work ended up costing more than a few hundred then I would be wiser to just buy a new model. After inspecting the washing machine he discovered that the hot and cold water hoses had been reversed, which was causing the problem. He switched them (and secured them better than they had been previously). He also noted that the dryer vent was not connected to the wall, and provided me with hose and clamps to do that myself (as his liability insurance prevented him from doing that work). In addition to all of the above, he gave me some great tips on other work that I was planning on having done, plus some other things I could easily do myself to make life in the new house easier. James was very professional and friendly and was happy to look at not only the things I had called him about, but other random projects that I had going on. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing appliance repair!

James returned my call promptly, called the tenant before arriving to do the work, called me with the price, and fixed it quickly and competently. He was extremely friendly and professional.

He did a pretty good job. He didn't charge more he only charged for the service. They were very professional, friendly and competent. I was very happy with them.

He checked electrical source and wiring in machine. Reset it and it was repaired.

Glad the fridge was repaired. Expected the news on the washer. Very impressed with a list of suggested washing machines for replacement. I followed his advice and purchased from his list of suggestions.

I called James Beardsley for an estimate on replacing our icemaker (in a 14 year old refrigerator). He was very cordial and responsive and gave me a range over the phone, dependent upon the severity of the problem. He came to the house right away and replaced the ice-maker in about 15 minutes.

The door of our dishwasher was flopping down. I described the problem to Mr. Beardsley, and he said that he had seen this problem in many Kitchenaid dishwashers of the same vintage. As the parts and labor to repair the problem can run as high as $200, he suggested that I contact the business which sold us the dishwasher and installed it to see if I could negotiate a lower price, even though the appliance was out of warranty. I did so, but the store wouldn't negotiate. I called Mr. Beardsley again. He came to our house within several hours and made the repair. He commented that the store had done a good job installing the dishwasher.

We found James' fantastic reviews on Angie's List and called him. We explained our symptoms (we heard the fridge clicking every 5 to 10 minutes and realized it had stopped cooling; everything in the freezer was thawing.). Over the phone, James was able to give us some ideas as to what the problem might be. It happened that he was on his way to another service call only about 10 minutes away from our house and said he could come by when he was done. About an hour from the time we called him, he was at our house and repaired the problem! We found James to be very personable and knowledgeable and reasonably priced. We're glad we found him!!

He came within the hour the same day as called, determined the cause of the refrigerator failure, secured the part needed, returned later in the day, and got the machine running. It has been performing perfectly since.

It went very well. I emailed him on a Sunday; he replied that same day to call in the morning for an appointment. When I called, he scheduled us for Monday, and arrived at the appointed time. He repaired the dryer and cleaned up after himself. The charge for the dryer was $136. I asked if he could also repair the washing machine, which was taking forever to wash due to low water flow. He looked at it and said he would come back the next day with the part. He didn't charge for a separate trip charge, and the cost including the new valve that he replaced was $75. Both machines work very well now. I was very pleased with his work.

I called James Beardsley to repair our ice maker. He came out the next day and did a minor repair. He felt like by making some adjustments it would do the trick. He said that he would like to try that first before he replaced the ice maker entirely since that would be much more expensive. He told me that if he did have to come back I would not be charged another service call. Unfortunately, the repair didn't work so I called him back 2 weeks later and he was here the next day to replace the ice maker. He had the replacement with him and it took all of 15 minutes for him to do the work. As he said previously, he did not charge me another service call but on top of that, he only charged me for the price of the ice maker, no labor.
