I am so happy! He replaced the switch in no time and ordered the cartridge. Checked that everything was working properly. Mr. Beardsley is very professional to work with. He know what he is doing and he takes great care of his customers.

Had a leaking fridge, had unsuccessfully tried to get Sears to fix bacause it was a Kenmore, total disaster. Got Mr. Beardsley's name off of Angie's List, came out within a couple of days of calling, (Thanksgiving weekend), spent about an hour, fixed the leak, charged for a service call, said if it started leaking again to call. Six weeks later it started leaking again, called Mr Beardsley, he came out the next day, redid the job with a small refinement, did it under warranty. Fast, professional, punctual, couldn't have been happier with his service

While James did not fix my dishwasher, he was completely professional and very prompt. I appreciate his fast turn around and his honesty in stating what he could and couldn't do. I would not hesitate to use him again for any of my American made appliance repairs.

He was very honest. It cost a lot to repair it and he suggested trying something else as the refrigerator was very old.

We had already made a homemade pizza before realizing that our oven wouldn't turn on. I emailed James that evening and he was at our house before noon the following day. He had the part we needed when he arrived and was able to fix the oven immediately. He was very punctual, communicated his schedule to us clearly, and was polite and professional. I had some problems with my kitchen appliances and James came out the next day. He quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended different options. He was just great and I would absolutely use him again.

We called James when our washing machine quit working and he came out the same day. Diagnosed the problem as a faulty timer. He didn't have a part so he had to get it and come back the next day. He didn't charge us for the second service call. He called in the morning before to arrange a convenient time to come, was right on time, did the work quickly, and didn't leave a mess. He also replaced the rubber hoses with some metal ones my husband had purchased but not gotten around to installing yet. The price was very fair. James is great--we highly recommend him!

James came to look at my washing machine which had stopped spinning. He was right on time and very professional. Once he looked at it he told me it probably wouldn't be worth fixing but he would price the parts and get back to me. He also let me know that it might take a couple of days if he had to deal with Sears to get the prices, which he did. It was too expensive to fix my 15 year old washing machine.

I have used him in the past on a few occasions. He is punctual and easily available. He is prompt, knowledgeable and gives good suggestions. I?m very pleased with his service.

My refrigerator and dishwasher went out at the same time! I also needed to find a roofing contractor so I joined Angie's List for the first time. I selected James strictly because of all the postive comments/reports I read, I left a voicemail on his phone at 10:00 pm June 24. Sure enough, he called me early the morning of June 25, said he happened to be in my area and could come by the same morning! That's what I call great responsiveness! He stated that a refrigerator not cooling was a very serious condition and so wanted to come over quickly (concern for the customer was certaintly noted vs other contractors I've dealt with that you have to beg to come help out of bind). He did the repair on the spot at what I thought was a very reasonable price. And h didn't even charge for the trouble shooting of the dishwasher. I'm extremely pleased with the experienceof both James and my first experience with Angies's List!

He is fabulous. He is a very cheerful, loving, religous guy.

One day our clothes dryer would not heat at all, even though the drum would rotate as usual. We called to see if the problem could be repaired. I left a message on Sunday and Mr. Beardsley returned my call first thing Monday morning. He was able to come by that morning and determined that the heating element was the culprit. I knew the dryer was old but I didn't recall when we had bought it. When Mr. Beardsley called us with information about the part needed, we found out that the dryer was actually almost 20 years old. I didn't realize how long we had had this machine! The cost of the needed parts plus labor would have been a large chunk toward the cost of a new dryer. He suggested we check out our options for a new dryer and let him know what we wanted to do. He was so right. It didn't make sense to put so much money into an old dryer. We respect Mr. Beardsley's honesty and his having put our best interest first. So even though he did not do any repair, his evaluation and professionalism assure our return to him for future needs with various appliances. We were charged only for his visit and time spent checking on parts availability.

It was great. He was able to come out the next day. He was prompt. He told me that my cooktop was very high quality and to hang on to it for as long as possible. It only took him about 10 minutes to fix. He was very polite and pleasant!

My elderly grandmother called me to say that her washing machine wasn't working. I called James based on his excellent rating here on Angie's List, and he did not disappoint. After a quick investigation, it turned out that the timer was bad. Within three business days, the new timer had arrived and was installed. I simply cannot convey what a great experience this was. James was very professional, punctual, and just an overall great guy. He saved my grandmother a lot of money. I would recommend him without reservations.

Fantastic service! James was very prompt, courteous, professional, and competent. Calling him was a much better experience than trying to deal with the service department at the mega chain store that we purchased the washing machine from.

The unit that stopped working was our garage frig. James advised us that it would cost more to repair and replace than the refrigerator would cost. He was very nice - demonstrated in time at house that he cares about his work. We will use him again for our appliances.

Perfect. I called him @ 9:30am, he was at my house by 2 and had the refridgerator cooling again within 30 minutes. He returned the next day at noon and completed the job. He estimated the job at $300 on the initial visit and held to that estimate coming in at $297.

Mr. Beardsley was extremely helpful and courteous. He was familiar with the problem that I was experiencing and he gave me information on how to fix it myself without having to incur service fee. He did this because the problem involved a manufacturer defect and there was not a lot he could do other than show up and tell me it's not working. I will definitely call on him again.

Great. Our house is for sale and we are living out-of-town. They coordinated access to our home with our real estate agent, and fixed our washing machine without us ever having to be at the house. They gave us great service even though we were first time customers. We were very impressed. Great flexibility, communication, organization, dependability, and quality of service. We will definitely use them again.

He came in 300 dollars less than another company. He gave me some tips. He came out the next week after the initial visit and did the job which was convenient for me.

He came out and took a look at it and said that the ice ejectors had frozen. He moved it back and forth and said that it should work now and it did. He also said that if it did not work later, he would come out again and charge only the cost to fix it. He did not change any of the parts unnecessarily. I was perfectly happy with the service and the price was reasonable.

He called ahead to get an explanation of the problem and did some research on how to source parts. But instead of charging us for parts ahead of time, he came out and assessed the problem. It turned out that a minor tweak solved the problem. If he had not, he would have purchased the parts and done the fix without charging for a second service call. The guy is personable and clearly a pro.
