They were very good. They were very prompt and very thorough. They went above and beyond. The owner did extra little things and we appreciated that. They were very professional and good. They were a pleasure to work with.

The woman I spoke with was gave me advice on how to make the repairs and the number of a flooring contractor (they don't do labor only). She was very friendly and didn't seem to mind spending 5 minutes on the phone helping me out (considering she wouldn't be making any money off of me). I hired the contractor she recommended to do some of the leveling and he did a great job for a reasonable price.

It was a good experience. They had given us a quote a month ago. They did what they said and it was a clean experience. They stuck to the quoted price and they were on time. We don't have anything negative to say.

The absolute best experience I have ever had with a contractor. Price was less than other bids, was on time, neat, careful, and just all around did a good job.

The office personnel and estimator worked with us to try to match our old hardwood flooring, which was installed some years by a company no longer in business. However, it could not be matched so we replaced it with hardwood recommended by this company. The installation went very well, although upon closer examination from moving items such as area rugs, other items noted above were revealed.

Working with Andrea and Bob was, hands down, the best contractor experience I've ever had. The cost was extremely competitive and the workmanship and professionalism was far and beyond any other. The work done on time, within budget, and the floors looked phenomenal. They were extremely flexible in helping me stay within my budget. I did certain parts of the work myself (removal of tile, replacing baseboards) to save some money and Bob was perfectly fine with that. Weeks after the installation, there was a small problem area and Bob came back and immediately fixed it himself - other contractors drag their feet after they get paid, but Bob puts his reputation and workmanship ahead of everything and it shows.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Andrea was a great help with color and wood selection plus other home interior decorating advice. Everything went exactly as scheduled. Very clear instructions on every aspect of the whole process. The installers were terrific in attitude, helpfulness and skills. There were no shortcuts taken. It was a pleasure to either watch them or go about our business as we required (job took three days). The unexpected stained concrete & unusually unlevel floors were taken in stride. We researched Angie's List and chose three high recommended installers to contact. All three gave us confidence in their product and work. After the interview process we were mildly surprised to find that we had changed our preconceived idea of who we would hire. I would recommend taking the time to go through this process. It will confirm your first idea or lead you in a new direction as it did for us. We couldn't be happier with our choice of product or installer. Remember to install felt pads under furniture before placing it on the wood.

Andrea was a joy to work with - very responsive, affable, helpful and even took the time to answer the many questions I had. She let us borrow samples to take home, offered the pros and cons of solid wood vs. engineered and more. Absolutely loved working with her! The team was professional, nice and worked hard. My only suggestion would be that the team clean up the dust leftover on the floors after the job is complete - however, this was not a difficult task for me to perform and was not overwhelming. I highly recommend this company and hope to use them in the future!

Bob and Andrea were helpful and professional throughout the entire process. We decided on several samples and were allowed to take them home to think it over. We asked for proposals with two types of wood and received them the same day. Andrea is very efficient and answered all of our questions. We scheduled the installation and Bob ordered the materials for us quickly. The installation team was clean and friendly. We are very happy with the results. Excellent from the initial bid process. Bob was professional and detailed from our initial meeting. We had concerns with the tile removal but Bob was confident there would be no problems. There were none. In selecting our wood, Bob's daughter Andrea was very helpful and knowledgeable. Bob's team was amazingly punctual and as part of quote had estimated the job would take no longer than 4 days. They took 3. We're still amazed how smooth this project went and are so pleased with the final outcome. We still have some rooms we might consider for wood flooring and I don't think we'd even bother with getting bids from any other companies. We might just go straight back to Bob.

We shopped through about 5 different stores contractors and HFS were last on our list. Bob and his staff were great, they were very understanding about the contract changes we wanted made and things got under way. 4 weeks later installation began, 1 day of tear our and then 4 days of installation. The team was polite, punctual, hard working, and very very clean during the installation (which particularly pleased my wife). The project ran on budget and ahead of schedule, GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

From the day Bob came to do the estimate until the moment they finished the job and left, Bob and his guys were absolute professionals. They arrived on time, worked hard the entire time they were there, and took great care with every aspect of the job. They cleaned the mess they made, right down to hosing off the front grass where they mixed the concrete. They undercut the fireplace for a very, professional look. As they did this, one person cut the brick while another held a shop-vac up to the saw to eliminate as much dust as possible. They also tented off my kitchen with plastic. I very much appreciated the effort they made to keep the house as clean as possible throughout the process. The first day, they removed the carpet and leveled the concrete. They also laid the flooring in one of the smaller rooms. This was nice as we could get a sneak preview of what the finished job would look like the next day. Day two they finished the install and moulding. The guys never asked me for anything, even though I offered drinks, help, whatever time and time again. They were polite, professional and dedicated to doing great work (which they did). One main thing I needed taken care of was the re-running of speaker wire from the front of my family room to the rear sides (which I originally had tucked between the tack strip and the baseboards). They re-ran the wires, cut notches out of the quarter-round for the wire to escape and also removed a channel in the foam underlayment to encompass the wire where it had to breach a doorway. They did a perfect job with this extra requirement. I'm sure many places would have charged an extra fee to deal with this even though it was fairly minor. I have to say that this installation worked out as perfectly as it possibly could have. Nothing at all went wrong. Everything went according to expectation and it looks just great. The price was completely fair and I feel very justified in spending what I did for the professional results I received. Thank you very much Hardwood Flooring Services!

The project went very well. The installers arrive on time every day (4 days total) and were very hard workers. They cleaned up all of there materials everyday before leaving - which was unexpected to us! The finished product is awesome and we love the way the new rooms look.

I didn't know they had a beautiful selection of flooring; I'd seen a recommendation for Bob's Hardwood Flooring on Angie's List. I'd spoken with Bob and his daughter, Andrea. Neither mentioned that they sold flooring. I'd already purchased the flooring for an upstairs hallway. The hallway was the first job they did. Working with Bob and his daughter was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had in regard to having anything done to my home. Bob worked with me because I was very sick. He was patient and went the extra mile on a number of occasions. The total I paid for the work in the hallway was $343. He treated it as if it were the biggest job he had. He doesn't ordinarily lay flooring clients already have. Because of my circumstances, he made an exception - since I already had wood and had purchased it on clearance. He's a good man who takes pride in his company and the work they do. They believe in going the extra mile - which they did for me on a number of occasions. After they finished the flooring in the upstairs hallway, I asked for an estimate on my stairway. I didn't have enough flooring left for my landing and another odd step (my fault - not his). Bob went to the place where I bought the wood for the hallway - on a Saturday - to see if they had more of the same wood. (They didn't because the wood was on clearance when I purchased it. I mentioned that to him; but he still wanted to make sure. [EXTRA MILE!]) When he couldn't find the wood at his competitor's place of business, Andrea went through the wood on their showroom floor and found wood that was prettier, but nearly identical to the wood in the hallway. I wish I'd gotten all of my wood from them!! (I'm very picky and notice the slightest differences or imperfections.) You will not find anyone to do better work; you won't find anyone more conscientious, professional, or courteous. Their pricing is fair - and when you receive an estimate, it's accurate. If you make changes, they update you (with a new estimate) immediately. There are not words to explain how much I respect what this father and daughter team do and how they do it. If you are in need of this type service, please, at least speak with them. If you want the best for a price that is fair, get an estimate. I wanted to post pictures of the beautiful work that was done before I submitted this. But have had bad luck with cameras over the past few months. Then my beautiful stairs were scuffed/damaged by delivery people as they dragged a set of box springs down my stairs. I have no doubt that Bob will get my stairway back to being beautiful again. And I'm really looking forward to having him install my kitchen floor!

Bob came on within one or two days on a Saturday to give us an estimate on installation. The next week we went to their showroom where his daughter, Andrea, matched the price on a great product that we had chosen at another hardwood floor installer. We waited about one week for the product to arrive, then they started on the project the next day. One day for ripping carpets out and leveling the floor with a cement product, one day for the majority of the installation, then one day to finish up including trim and cleanup. Only one full box was left after 875 sq. foot. Half the payment was when the flooring was ordered, the rest we paid after it was completed. Very professional, easy to work with and a clean work site.

We first purchased our flooring (interlocking Brazilian Cherry engineered strips, glue) from a separate supplier and originally intended to use the supplier-recommended installer. When that recommended individual inflated the floor area by 20% on his work estimate, we looked him up on Angie's List and discovered a high level of customer Dissatisfaction. In contrast, Angie's List reports on Hardwood Flooring Services (Bob Hoane, proprietor) showed high levels of satisfaction -- so we called him. Bob Hoane arrived promptly at his appointment time, personally performed the estimate (including an exactly correct area measure), made clear effort to find out what we wanted and needed, and explained to us all that would entail. We took it under advisement, talked it over with personal advisor's, and called his office with a few more questions. Andrea in his office was fully knowledgeable, a pleasure to talk to, and we confidently hired. The team arrived on schedule, went right to work, stayed with it, performed all work to the most exact quality detail. Their behavior was respectful and professional and the final product was a flawless floor we are most happy to have in our house.

The guys finished yesterday and Bob and his crew did an awesome job. I went with handscraped Maple from Mullican and we love it. They prepped the concrete slab, primed it, sealed it then did the wood install. The entire job took about 3-4 days. We had some moisture/drainage issues last year that caused our previous bamboo floor to buckle. We fixed the drainage problem last year and were ready to get some quality flooring installed and the crappy Lumber Liquidators Bamboo torn out. (The bamboo was already installed before we bought the home.) I am pretty anal and these guys met my expectations. I plan to use him again for additional areas in my home.

This was the best contractor I have EVER dealt with! They did exactly what they said they would do and did it in the time expected and with expertise and courtesy. They were fabulous!

They came exactly when they were supposed to come, and completed the job as quoted. The floor looks great. The part that had to be redone looks great too. There are no squeaks, and everything was cleaned up nicely.
