Bob is very pleasant to work with. No pressure, patient and glad to address any questions and concerns. Punctual in coming to measure and very quick to provide a detailed proposal. The installation crew was punctual, careful with our furniture, paid great attention to detail, and are remarkable in their ability to measure and cut precisely and quickly. Day one was spent storing furniture in the garage, removing carpeting and some tile, and leveling and sealing the floor. Started about 8:30am and left about 2:30pm so the floor could dry overnight. Day 2 completed the entire installation, clean-up and replacing all the furniture. Started about 8:30am and finished about 6:00pm. The only thing that was a surprise was that we needed to make sleeping arrangements the first night. Because the floors needed to dry thoroughly overnight, and our bed was stored in the garage, we weren't able to sleep on it. (When we had floors installed in a previous home the prep was different and the mattress was set on the floor so that we could use it overnight.) Fortunately we have two guest bedrooms and were able to use one of them. The bed in the other guest room (the better one) was covered with stuff we'd removed from shelves. If we had known in advance we would have stored stuff differently so we could use the better bed that night. The new floors look great and we would gladly recommend this company.

The estimating service was scheduled over the phone. He arrived at the scheduled time. The measurements were taken and we were quickly provided an estimate. We gave them a very specific product to quote. They said it was high and they could show us less expensive options with a similar look. We opted to just schedule as they were at least 2K less than another bid for the exact same job. The hardwood was ordered and they scheduled us promptly. The crew arrived on time and spent quite a bit of time going over the job asking how we wanted things done. They were not trying to get away with the easiest option. In some cases, he was suggesting a harder approach that would make the overall outcome look better. They helped move our furniture and were very careful to not damage new tile floor and the furniture. They primed the old tile and then applied leveling. They were very careful to avoid tracking through the new tile. The next day, they installed the LR and half the stairway. It looked great. They cleaned up before they left. It was raining and they setup a tent in order to cut the wood outside. They finished the stairs the next day. They asked me to get felt pads and they put on the furniture before moving it back. They also moved a large table to the garage and helped me move a toilet. Very nice crew. We found one minor issue on one stair tread and they quickly came out and fixed the issue. Now that its been installed for a week, I see some details that continue to impress me like cutting under the stonework on the fireplace. Amazing...

I got the information but I have not taken necessary action. When I do the reflooring I will do it with this company.

It went very well. The leftover wood was not in good shape . The company provided additional pieces for replacements & we were pleased w/that.

Super service and super people! We found them on Angie's List and then discovered that a co-worker had used them as well, with great results. We had a short time from when we took possession of our new home until we moved in. These folks gently guided us to an excellent quality of wood floor, much better than that which the builder would have supplied for the same price! They and the materials arrived on time and work was completed on-schedule. There are a lot of folks who "lay floors" and some may be a few pennies cheaper, but few have the craftsmanship of the team from Hardwood Flooring Services. We were especially impressed with the work done on our stairs to the second floor of our home. We are now coming up on the first anniversary in our home. It was great; very professional; had a wonderful experience.

From the moment we walked into the show room we knew we had found the right company to work with. Andrea knows flooring products better than anyone else we had spoken with at any of the competing big companies. We had Bob come out and measure, received a quote and scheduled the install date. Day one of the install Vicente and crew arrived promptly and worked by removing the old carpet and prepared the floors for the install the next day. They also helped move the larger pieces of furniture out of the way and into the adjacent rooms and the garage. Day 2 the crew arrived as scheduled and began to lay our beautiful new flooring. This crew is very efficient, it's obvious that they have worked together for a long time and their craftsmanship and pride in their work is very apparent. Once the job was completed these guys weren't finished, not until they made sure that all furniture was back in place and the floors were cleaned, swept and all of their work materials were packed and stowed away. I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed having this fabulous team of craftsmen in our home. I am so pleased that we chose to work with a company that is dedicated to customer service, quality and professionalism. Oh, and by the way, they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We had never done a carpet to hardwood replacement. We had a sample from a friend that we liked but it was discontinued. So were trying to match this as close as possible. We requested a proposal from Hardwood Flooring. Bob was very responsive, met with us, and discussed the general approach to the project. Next, my wife, the decision maker for this project, visited their show room several times to get samples to evaluate. Andrea, Bobs daughter, was very helpful through out this project. The next contractor we evaluated had a mobile showroom. He was able to immediately respond to our comments regarding a particular sample. Bottom line, he presented a sample that matched very closely to our sample and was exactly what we were looking for. Hardwood Flooring's proposal was very competitive, and I would have had no issues with going with them, except that we chose to go with the contractor that had exactly what we were looking for. Again, I would highly recommend Hardwood Flooring..

We had visited many hardwood flooring companies and read many reviews...but hardwood flooring was hands down the best...from the first visit to the office when Andrea explained all the different woods and which where best for what we need and the ones she wouldn't recommend and why....she was the most helpful of any of the stores we visited and knew her materials....Scheduled an appointment for Bob to come out the next day to give us a quote, he was punctual and we had the quote the next day. The guys who came out to do the job where also punctual, very polite and did a fantastic job...they took great pride in their work and treated our home with respect protected the area they had to walk through to complete the job. We are so happy with our new floors and the stairway is just amazing....I could definitely recommend Hardwood Flooring and I would use them again....I also like that they are a family run business and that the wood we used was an American made product....

Hardwood Flooring provided us with various hardwood flooring options. After we chose our flooring, we scheduled an installation date with an estimated 1 - 2 days to complete installation. The installation crew showed up early on the scheduled installation date and completed the work in one day. They made it a point to remove dust as the prepared the floor for hardwood. I would definitely use them again.

We are so pleased with our new bedroom beautiful floor! Bob and his team are the AMAZING professionals. They took care of every detail from service to installation and follow up in a timely manner. From initially walking in their storefront to "check them out" based on investigating reviews on Angie's List to the final wave good-bye, we were consistently impressed by their knowledge of wood flooring, attention to detail, professionalism, and the results. Our floors look amazing, the installation was expertly done, they cleaned up consistently, acted professionally yet friendly at every step. We had a repair that needed done on another wood floor that they performed expertly as well. I cannot say enough about this company. I only wish we had found them sooner so that they could have done our whole house. We also appreciate using a local, family owned and run business.

We received a number of bids for the job and Hardwood Flooring Services was a standout because the bid was competitive and they assisted us at each decision point. The office staffers were superb and the installation was seamless. We have recently completely remodeled our home so we have had a number of contractors and workers here. These installers were absolutely outstanding. Very impressive skills and they were always punctual, professional and on the job the entire day, each day. This company will treat you very well. From the floor selection through the project, they were very professional and had great advice. We used them after we purchased a foreclosure. We wanted to do the demolition and the owner himself came and told us how best to prepare for them to save us money. Andrea was marvelous and helped us through a rough time when the product we ordered was defective and our deadline to move in was looming. She was excellent in being our advocate with the supplier. The quality of work was very good and the finished product looks excellent. They worked extra hard, all through a weekend, to get us into the house on time, and for that we will be forever grateful. The floors look absolutely stunning. We have had several guests stay in our house since the installation. They have all been thoroughly impressed by the lovely wooden floors. We intend on having them come back to do the remaining bedrooms and also the staircase. We absolutely loved Bob and his crew. Their suggestions on baseboard coloring and placement of wooden floors were spot on. The finished product looks amazing and we are very happy with this company. The project went very smoothly from the time of ordering to the final placement of my furniture. Everyone I dealt with was very polite and professional. The wood flooring looks wonderful and is a great addition to our home.

We finally decided on getting hardwood flooring installed in 3 rooms and our staircase this year. After meeting with several flooring companies and getting estimates we decided to go with Hardwood Flooring Services. Their prices are very reasonable, not the cheapest but far from the most expensive. That said, we definitely feel we have gotten a great value for the wood selection, the materials and workmanship provided. They are very fast and clean and professional from helping understanding the various flooring options and making selections all the way through the installation itself! The flooring looks awesome!

We have renovated our house over the last several years, and Hardwood Flooring Services was one of the best companies that we used. My experience with HFS was very positive from start to finish. I was immediately impressed when I entered the store. Andrea was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. After taking several samples home to compare, I made an appointment for Bob to come out and measure. He was on time and efficient. I mentioned to him that we seemed to have a moisture problem under one of our existing floors, and he recommended a particular method of installation to try to avoid this problem in the future. I had gotten an estimate from another company, and while I was impressed with them and received a similar estimate, I chose HFS mainly because I felt that Bob and his crew had the expertise to do our job well. The team that came to our house was absolutely fanstastic. Ruben (Andrea's husband) and the other men were probably the hardest working people who have ever been in our house. They arrived early and stayed as late as needed over a period of several days to ensure completion by the deadline. Bob came by at least once or twice a day to check on the progress of the installation and to see if I had any questions or concerns. There are a few things that really make this company stand out. (1) After they laid some of the wood, I was not happy with the number and concentration of black streaks in some of the planks. Bob and Ruben were extremely accomodating about my concerns and ordered replacement wood at no extra cost to me (and probably at cost to themselves). (2) When my husband bumped into an antique chair that had been moved and was resting at an odd angle while the floors were being installed, a leg on the chair broke. Bob picked up the chair and delivered it back to us fully repaired the next day. (3) All of the people involved with HFS care tremendously about their work and want to please in every way. No detail was too small and no request was refused. For example, after the job was completed, I noticed some doors that were scraping the floor after being rehung. Bob and another man came back right away to fix the problems. In sum, we were extremely satisfied with HFS and would enthusiastically recommend them to others.

I was VERY happy with HFS!!!!! I dealt with Bob for measurements and the initial bid. I had many other companies come and estimate and HFS prices were very fair (maybe a bit better). What I liked was I did not get a hard pushy sell from Bob like many of the others. Once I decided I had the right company the hard work began. They have many samples in their showroom. I dare say too many ;-) I am pretty sure I had almost all of them back to my house at least once. I went in to the office probably 20+ times and Andrea came out to my house twice to give her opinion. Everyone was always very friendly. Andrea was great! We finally chose a wood and waited for it to come in and the guys to start the install. On the first day they realized that the wood was faulty. It had kind of shiny sheen on some boards and dull on others. They got the wood company guy out there to confirm it was bad. The wood company offered us a small amount of compensation to keep the bad wood, or we had to wait around another month for a new order. We decided to pick a new wood company. Andrea was very accommodating with our choice. Essentially they had to wait for a refund from the first wood company and buy new wood, but they did not ask for any more money. Anyway, skip to the end?.the floors look great and I am happy with my choice. I would use them again if I needed more wood installed.

We made several visits to the store to select hardwood flooring. Samples were brought home to help in this process. After the selection was done, a date was set to have the rooms measured and to discuss questions we had. During that initial visit suggestions were made to avoid T-molding and board layout of the flooring. The hardwood was delivered two days ahead of the project work. The first day of work was to remove the carpet and put a compound down to level the concrete floor. The second day, the flooring was installed. The shoe molding had been primed ahead of time and was given a final coat of paint after being installed. The crew was professional in all aspects. We are very satisfied with the results.

These guys were excellent from the moment i walked in the showroom. They seem to be very busy, install date was 4-6 weeks out but they came when scheduled....no delays or excuses! The install went great, crew was nice to deal with and worked constantly until the job was done. They did a great job....installed toe molding and even painted our base boards so everything looked perfect. We couldn't be happier with the service.

This was a huge project. I had attempted to get bids from other companies. Two stores in Austin measured, but never sent bids. Another floor company said we had to move all of the furniture ourselves. Bob, owner of Hardwood Flooring Services, was always on time for home visits, brought many samples, and answered all of our questions. He is very professional and an expert in this process. He is very calm, which helped with our anxiety of this project. Andrea, at the showroom, was also very helpful and professional. Every call and e-mail were answered promptly. Bob assured us the project would take one week - five days. And he was right. Some work was done off site, which made it faster. His three man crew worked so very hard every day, taking time off only for lunch. It was a messy project, but that was expected. They swept and cleaned up every day before they left. They were on time and had wonderful attitudes about doing a great job. Bob stopped by every morning and every afternoon to check on the progress, answer questions, and accommodate the sequence of the project. We never had to move out of the house. They moved all of the furniture and placed felt pads under the furniture so weight, dents and scratches wouldn't happen on the new floors. Every request, like plastic over our clothes, was granted. The crew worked together beautifully. The stairs are perfect. The floors look fantastic. The dreaded upheaval wasn't so bad because of the professionalism of the installers, Bob and Andrea. I was actually sorry to see the crew leave on Friday!!! They were wonderful!!!! David and Maggie

We saw all the great reviews on Angies List, so decided to visit their store on Burnet Rd. Andrea, the sales person there, was great. She explained the pros and cons of all different types of wood flooring options, even showing us examples of the various scratch resistent of different brands. She also suggested a flush transition between the new wood floors and the existing tile floors, which looks much more professional (the other quotes we got suggested ugly "T-Mold" thresholds that would have looks much cheaper). She was extremely knowledgable and pleasant to deal with. We found out that this is a family business with just two crews; one run by the dad and one run by the son. No subcontractors. Because of this, and because they're sought after, we had to wait several weeks for the job, but it was well worth it. Ruben, who ran the crew that installed our floors, showed up the first day of the install and went over everything with me. They worked for three days, which included putting down a leveling material (a thin layer of concrete) and letting it dry before they started. They had to move a LOT of big heavy furniture, but did it without a scratch. The results were amazing. Couldn't be happier. Their attention to detail was terrific. For example, they were butting the floors up to our tile in the kitchen, and the seams were perfectly even. They even matched the existing tile grout so that it looked like it was originally built in that way. After they finished, they even dusted most of the house (leveling process throws off some dust), and made the beds back, so when I returned, the house looks perfectly put together and ready to enjoy. Excellent service, quality and easy to work with. I've already recommended them to a friend, and would not hesitate to use them again. We got several quotes, and they were basically in the same ballpark on price, but their quality and expertise stood out from the rest.
