Good Guys Tree Service

After repeated attempts to contact and get someone to come out to look, we gave up.

It went great. Prompt courteous estimator who called within his given timeframe and arrived promptly as well. His price was great, and the invoice was exactly what he estimated. The work was done in conjunction with another job so the call to schedule was somewhat delayed due to other details. On the day the work was done, they arrived promptly and did the job quickly and efficiently, even one last minute cut for a branch hanging down that was not on the job order. Good workers. Would definitely hire again.

We get compliments all the time on our trees in particular. They did a great job.

They were top notch. Our yard is almost covered with trees. The trees had not been trimmed in a long time. It was a huge job. They swept up all the debris, and chipped/bagged the limbs they cut down. It was a very reasonable fee. They sent a whole crew (5-6 guys). The supervisor spoke fluent English, and it is a family run business. I got several quotes, and talked with several other companies. I was really impressed with the Good Guys horticulture knowledge. They could tell me about bugs, fungus, root systems, etc. It was really amazing. This is not a bunch of people coming out with pruning sheers, they are a very educational group.

I responded to an offer by The Good Guys Tree Service for a consultation for $135. and that amount would be deducted from the service provided. Jeff C contacted me promptly and scheduled a time to come over to give me a bid for the work. Jeff was professional during his visit. I received the estimate via email a day or so later. The estimate was extremely high for the amount of work I needed done. When I contacted Jeff via email that the amount was much higher than I expected he told me that he had to build in the long travel time from his location to mine. He offered to let me know when he would be in my area and he would fit my job in when he could and that would reduce the price some but he never gave me an updated estimate. I emailed him back a couple of weeks later telling him I would split the $135.00 with him for his travel and we could call it a day. I have never heard back. I think that once he learned where I was located he should have told me that there would be extra charges built into the bill for the work and I would have had the opportunity to say thanks, but no thanks. This is not a good way to do business in my mind. Janet D

Excellent. Jason was out for an estimate a day after my call. We discussed removing the limb and he offered suggestions on perimeter trim to comply with insurance standards. Origanally told would be a couple weeks due to schedule but they were able to fit me in and crew was there 3 days later. Removed the large limb without any damage to deck, roof. And did a goid job if cleaning up.

Casey (super nice guy) with Good Guys Tree Service came and gave me an estimate and then they did the work a few days later. Everyone I came in contact with was exceptionally nice and professional. They did an excellent job on our trees! The crew leader checks with you multiple times throughout the job to make sure everything looks good and you are satisfied with the work that was done. These guys arrive at your house with a large crew and get the job done very efficiently. They clean up so well you would never know they were there. I have used this company many times and I highly recommend them!

I have used Good Guys Tree Service before and was very satisfied with their work. I did not hesitate to call them again when we needed tree trimming. The owner came out and gave me an estimate a few days before the work was done. He is a super nice guy and makes suggestions as to what should be done (I needed his help, as I was not sure) A large crew arrived a few days later to raise the canopy on a very old large tree. The crew leader could not have been nicer. He explained what they were going to do and had me come out to approve it when they were finished. They cleaned up all of the branches and everything was left clean and there was no debris left in the yard. The tree looked fantastic!! I could not have been more satisfied.

The certified arborist was prompt and efficient. Two trees in front of my new home were too close to each other and were growing together. The expert helped me make a decision and was very honest that due to the distance between his company and the point of service that it would be much less expensive to use a local tree service. He then reviewed the rest of my property, identifying the types of trees and bushes (several were new to me) and answered other questions I had. I was very pleased with the service and the professional, yet personable, approach.

Company was to call back the next week to set up a time for the work crew to come by. It was promised this week. Waited one week and still received no call. Called the company and the secretary knew nothing of our order. She promised to call back, twice, and never did. Called company a third time and they were closed, but the owner answered at his home. Explained what his sales person, Jason, had promised and he said there was nothing they could do now. Received a call from Jason after his boss talked to him, and was told by Jason that he never made those promises, practically calling my wife and I liars. I would not recommend using their service unless you want to be yelled at and like being called a liar. We were then told that they don't want our service any longer, which was fine, but we wasted a week thinking they would show up, so now we have to find another tree company and wait even longer. VERY UPSET WITH THIS COMPANY. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM.

It went very well. Very good crew who were all very polite. I would definitely use them in the future.

We're very pleased with their work. Their sales agent, Jason, gave us a thorough (and free) estimate and the crew headed by Raul/Jay delivered as promised. Our trees look great and they cleaned up everything and then some. They even worked around our 8 month old's nap schedule. Good people.

I called GGTS to make an appointment, and a few days later Jeff arrived earlier than expected. He called to ask if it was ok to come earlier. Yes, it was. My husband and he walked around the property assessing all that needed to get done. We had to confirm that no trees on my neighbor's side of the property line would be cut. For extra security measures, Jeff tied bright colored ribbons to all the doomed trees. An estimate was given and work would commence as soon as we gave them the go-ahead. Forgetting an important detail, I later called Jeff to ask him if he could cut back some additional branches, which were growing into the wooden fence. He asked if I could take specific photos and based on those photos and a description of where those trees were he would give me a new estimate. In a few hours, if that, I had received a new order and estimate with which I was quite pleased. As soon as they put us on the schedule it took them 3 or 4 days to come to the property. Today while I was at work the Good Guys removed the 6 weed trees (between 15-24 feet) growing directly against our wooden fence and pruned back branches from a neighbor's tree that were brushing against our roofline and the almost forgotten branches. I was not present when they arrived, but from the looks of everything they did what they were supposed to do and did a great job. They removed all debris and cleaned up as much saw dust as possible all the while keeping our established plants safe and intact. Great job, Guys. Would definitely use again.

This is the second year I used Good Guys. I had a few other quotes and GG had the most reasonable price along with the fact I felt comfortable with Jeff that came out to give the quote. The name definitely describes the employees. About 6 workers came for the job. Very professional, clean cut and nice guys, especially the foreman. I am very picky and they did a wonderful job and a thorough clean up. They worked great together as a crew. We had a pile of brush from the weekend before from our own landscape trimmings and one of the workers picked it all up for us and placed it in their trailer to be disposed. Upon request they also cut the larger branches into fire logs for us. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend Good Guys and will definitely call on them again in the future.

Excellent service. Arrived on time and quickly completed work at a reasonable price (with Angie's List deal). These guys truly are Good Guys.

i am very pleased with this company....great service, professionalism, attention to detail, and know how. The crew did an outstanding job and Jason was on site to supervise. All went very well and the cleanup was superb. I definitely will use this company again. I really appreciated Jason's follow up call to make sure that I was satisfied. Thank you!

They did a good job, but I thought for what they did it was extremely expensive. I have never had trees done before so I could be totally out of whack. It was pretty simple, I just wanted a couple of limbs cut off, you know, maybe 10. They said the minimum price they could do was $559. I said that was a little more than I can afford. I asked if they were not going with the minimum price what they would charge me and they said the same thing. I told them to go ahead and get it done, but I thought it was a little unreasonable that he was not willing to work with me any more than that. I think the price was between $300 to $500, but I could be wrong. I am sure they were on time.

Very courteous, however the first crew failed to trim the branches that had grown into my neighbors yards. I had explicitly asked if they had taken care of that before they left and they said yes, but when I went to check they had not. I contacted the company and they sent someone out the next day to take care of that job without question or complaint, and now the tree is beautifully trimmed and I am a good neighbor again!

They were very professional. They cleaned up all the branches they cut down and had the yard looking better than it did before they came!

Went very well. The price seems a bit on the expensive side. The price listed was just to raise the canopy. I also wanted to some of it cut which was miscommunicated to me but at least when I asked them to do it, they obliged which was nice of them. Keep in mind of this when asking for quotes.

They are great. They are very through and did a great job. They are awesome. The area was like they wasn't there.

They were great. We had to have them come back out because there was a misunderstanding but they went back out and they totally agreed with us and they were quick to get it done. It was at a rental house. It was reasonable. I'd give them an A.

Chris from Good Guys Tree Service came out to check a tree that had a small crack in the bark. He said the tree was fine and healthy overall, he recommended a $400 fertilization treatment to resolve some mildew but said everything else was fine. Two weeks later the 50 year old live oak tree cracked and fell into my neighbors house causing some damage. I would not recommend this service because if they can't spot a unhealthy tree and recommend removal what are they good for?

Going to be 3 weeks now - no response. Called back various times. Last week called them twice. Cannot even reach them anymore. No answer. Maybe they do not want new business anymore. Will update this review IF we hear back. Getting other quotes A shame
