The inspector was thorough ,punctual and professional. The Agreement was that i was to receive a written report on the inspection. I have not received the report, I sent them an e-mail on 30 July and have not had the courtesy of a reply on status of the report or a report. The did not meet the requirements of the Agreement.

I purchased the foundation inspection deal to have an idea of what is wrong with the foundation of the house before I call other foundation companies for a free inspection. I e-mail the company to see when would they be able to perform the inspection. To my first e-mail no one responded until my second e-mail trough angies list. The owner scheduled an inspection within two days and arrive to the location on time. Very professional. went over the whole house and took all the needed measurments. Went over with me and explained the problem. He looked very knowledgable. Finished the inspection and said that in a week I would have the inspection report ready for me.Well a week past by and nothing. After a two weeks of waiting I e-mail the company and Gary told me and quot;I have it ready all I need is to type it upand quot; Well another two weeks past by and no inspection report. e-mail him and no response. By this time im totally upset with the service and I e-mail angies list to get my money back. Angies list told me that because the service was already performed there was no refund of my 100.00. An hour later Gary sends me the report When I finally got the inspection report it was very general and not specific I e-mail Gary again because I though the price was right but then i saw that the total amount was not the final amount and the report did not specify how many piers/beams/joists the house needed. So the paperwork he gave clearly gave margin to hike the price. G.A. Coffing never responded to my e-mail. I have copies of all e-mails send to the company and the and quot;inspectionand quot; paperwork they e-mail me.

They did the original curing main house and back studio and it was a lifetime guarantee but then they had to come and repair three more times. Now there is a lifetime guarantee. Their service and timeliness was great but not having the lifetime guarantee was what that came down.

I bought a coupon online from Angie's list for an inspection service. However, when Gary arrived to evaluate my project, we determined he was not the right contractor for my minor job. He agreed to forward me recommendations about the scope of the work I needed and suggest some potential contractors, and I agreed that his time and follow-up recommendations were sufficient for the price of my coupon, so we called it even. Nice guy.

Since there was merely the inspection and report, no actual work was done. Therefore, this does not apply.

They explained everything very well and they seemed to have the best plans. They used more support than the other people suggested. They did it in the amount of time they said, they were thorough, they left a little to be desired in the clean up, but we were still very satisfied with the results.

I purchased the foundation report through Angie's List Big Deal. Gary was able to come out within 2 weeks of purchasing the deal. He was right on time, friendly, and professional. He explained how the machine worked before taking readings. After taking readings, he went through all of the readings with me and explained what each reading meant. He left a package with me explaining different foundation issues and signs of issues. He also took the time to let me know what could be done to keep the foundation in good condition. Then, he e-mailed a typed report of the findings for us to keep in our records. Before Gary came out, I was very concerned that the house had issues. After reviewing the report and discussing the state guidelines for foundation shifts, I felt so much better knowing that the house is okay. The few shifts we are seeing are within the acceptable level and doing great for the age and location of our house. I recommend his services.

Mr Coffing was here on time and seemed to be professional although I did feel he had a little"know it all" attitude. Maybe this is because I am a senior citizen, single woman.

MR COFFING PRESENTED AT THE SCHEDULED TIME AND WAS VERY PLESANT AND PROFESSIONAL. WALKED AROUND THE HOUSE AND EXPLAINED NORMAL FOUNDATIONAL CHANGES AND HOW TO PREVENT FUTURE PROBLEMS. NO REPAIRES WERE ADVISED AT THIS TIME BUT WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH FOR CHANGES AND WILL CALL HIM WITHOUT HESITATION IF ANY PROBLEMS ARISE.

He was very polite, professional. Took the time to educate me on foundations (including providing a hand out) and what they inspect for. After looking carefully at the whole house inside and out, concluded that I didn't have any foundation problems. It was a good experience.

The estimate was done professionally and was lower than the two other estimates (also from Angie's list); the facts were presented in a manner that was easy to understand. Our foundation problem was somewhat unique since it concerned 2 slabs; one from the original house and another from an addition that the previous owner had built. Gary Coffing was knowledgable in explaining alternatives on how to deal with the separation of the two slabs. The crew arrived as promised and promptly went to work. The work proceeded smoothly and was finished in two days. The one point which could use a little improvement was the restoration of the area that was dug, but overall, this would not affect my overall rating for their work.

They were very professional. They arrived on time. They told me about what they were looking at when they were looking around the home. He explained what the potential outcome could be with foundation repair.

We have a house and back apartment that had developed some cracks in the walls due to foundation movement. We had three contractors come out to give us an estimate and chose GA Coffing based on a combination of price, responsiveness in the bid process and a general comfort factor with their rep. They leveled the foundation on the agreed upon date, and the final cost was as promised. They were in and out in a day and left the place neat and clean - in fact it was hard to tell they were even there. The cracks closed up reasonably well and we had the walls repaired. However, about a year later the foundation on our back apartment apparently shifted again causing additional cracks in the walls and problems with the exterior door. It was a little difficult getting them to respond to our request to come back out to re-level the house and they did not keep great records as to what they had done originally, but once they did, all work was completed under warranty as promised and so far so good. We would not hesitate to recommend them. One piece of advice to anyone getting their foundation repaired... Check with your insurance company to see if the cost is covered under your home owners insurance.

They did an extensive investigation and based on their information I was able to determine that a repair was not needed. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They didn't charge me anything for this service. I was very impressed.

An inspector came out to look at my foundation on a Saturday, which was convenient for me. But this was because the initial appointment made evidently was not entered into their scheduling systems and left me hangin'. The inspector listened to what I had to say (possible foundation issues) and used his leveling box around the house and inspected the symptoms I had been experiencing. He concluded that my foundation was not shifting, but possibly heaving slightly and would not require their foundation services. He made some very good recommendations for foundation maintenance and soil erosion prevention. He was very thorough and provided a lot of information for a free estimate.

They came out and gave me an estimate. There were no issues. I have an addition in my house and needed the foundation to have more support underneath it.

I wasn't real pleased. He came and was responsive, but he didn't really address the problem I had. It seemed like the fellow that came out didn't really understand my problem. The guy did a minimal assessment. He opened up the crawl space and didn't even go underneath the house. I don't know how he can get a real good idea of what was going on. He kept saying the same solution to the questions I asked. He was very nice and friendly, but didn't really address the problem I was trying to tell him about.

Overall they were excellent. They showed up on time carried out the work in three days (including during rain) and tidied up well after themselves.

I was very pleased with them. They determined we did not need foundation. They recommended periodic watering around the foundation or soaker hoses.

Douglas came to my home and spent over an hour assessing my pier and beam foundation. While he could have convinced me that my home needed all sorts of work he did not. After the evaluation he determined that I did not need any work at this time. He advised me to keep an eye out and call if things changed in the future. It is so refreshing to find a company that is looking out for the consumer and not just a profit.
