William gave me a prompt estimate, which was competitive with the others I got (also Angie's List sources...). Once we agreed on a time performed the work he arrived and got right to work. He completed things very promptly and professionally, and even went the extra mile to re-secure our home's breaker panel to the house and show me how he had taken some extra measures to tighten and secure a main wire that had become a bit exposed over the years. I really appreciated that, and am happy to have the extra power source in my garage now! He did a great job, and I'd definitely use him again.

I needed an electrical outlet added in a closet area to supply power to a alarm system. I was hoping to get this done quickly to finish our alarm system installation. I called Duhon Electric and they picked up immediately. They were able to make an appointment for the next day. I've learned that's very rare with electricians in Austin. The serviceman showed up right on time and was very friendly. I was doing things around the house so I don't remember how long it took for him to complete but I was surprised when he said he was all done. It looked and worked perfectly. He cleaned up his mess and he was on his way. I highly recommend Duhon Electric.

They called before they came, came on time, fixed the problem quickly. Very nice and professional.

He was able to give me an estimate over the phone. He came at the scheduled time, a little early actually. He was polite and professional, the work was very well done. There was a minor problem with the remote for one of the fans, which was an equipment issue not a problem he caused. He returned my call promptly about the problem and offered to come reinstall a new remote without additional charge. I would definitely use him again in the future.

I got Duhon Electric from Angie's list. They responded right away, came same day, fixed two problems within minutes, were very courteous and service was just amazing. I felt the price was a bit high, but have to admit that it's likely the going rate. Also I did get a discount because of Angie's list. I highly recommend Duhon Electric and will definitely use them again, if I have a need.

Everything was great, from the initial estimate to the final invoicing. They are professional and no-nonsense, plus at a nice price compared to others. Would recommend to friends and family.

These guys are unfailingly polite, very knowledgeable, and willing to undertake whatever we needed in the way of electrical work. They treated our every question as though it was both important and intelligent. I will recommend them to anyone who ever asks and highly commend them to my fellow Angie-ites. One thing to warn you of, this is Austin. Don't think twice about the long hair and piercings. These guys are true professionals and I can't remember the last time I was treated so respectfully and courteously.

I had Duhon Electric out to fix some wiring problems a couple of months ago and was pleased with the work. I had them back last week to replace a faulty GFI. And I had them come out again this week to hang 3 lights in really difficult to reach spaces and do some replacement of electrical switches. They did a phenomenal job - got here right on time, finished quickly, cleaned up. I couldn't be more pleased and will recommend them to all of my neighbors and friends.

All things handled in proper manner.

William and Damien are top notch. Much thanks to fellow Angie's List reviewers for the recommendation. We were in the middle of a bathroom renovation and decided it was a perfect opportunity to update the breaker boxes to the house as well. After contacting another electrician and never hearing from him again, I contacted William. Boy, am I glad I did! He's professional, honest, does great work and easy going. He provided several options before starting the work and took the time to explain what each option really meant. His estimate was spot on with the final invoice, so no surprises. I happy to have found our electrician.

Overall, I was very pleased with their service. They're both very down to earth, honest, helpful informative guys who, from what I can tell, did awesome work. What I did learn, though, is that it's the customer's responsibility to ask clear, direct questions about price because most of the time, service providers aren't going to just offer up that information to you. Yes, I got an estimate associated with the outlet work but I was not ever really told about all of the different costs involved. I did not ask any specific questions about their per-hour rate either and I later regretted it. Damien and William actually came to my house twice, first to do the breaker work and then two days later to install the outlets. After the first day, they voiced that they didn't really do that much work and that we could just level on payment stuff the next time they came (I also regret not keeping track of the time that was spent, but it could not have been longer that 30 minutes). Their second trip was obviously a little more involved because they installed the outlets. Again, I didn't keep track of their time and wish I would have. All of this to say, I was a little surprised to get hit with a $400 bill (the majority of the amount coming from their $145 an hour fee for 2 hours of work, a number that I honestly feel was rounded up, especially after I was made to believe the first day of work "really wasn't that big of a deal"). Bottom line: as a customer, don't forget to ask as many questions about cost as you can. And as a service provider, it would be really nice if the Duhon bros would be as clear as possible about hourly rates, cost of parts, etc. Estimates are just that - they're guesses. When you have a more precise idea of what the work is going to cost, relay that information to the customer as soon as possible.

They were busy and initially I was told he was coming by to take a look and give and estimate. Once he saw the setup, he gave me an estimate of no more than $180 and that he could do it now if I desired. It was done faster and cheaper than estimated and was exactly what I needed and where. Since they went on an existing line that had only a single outlet in the garage, I wasn't expecting any issues and didn't have any. William was very personable and easy going. I mostly stayed out of his way. He did not seem to mind at all when I didn't.

He responded promptly, gave an estimate (dead outlet turned out to be a user error :-)) for replacing the switch and ceiling fan/light. Did the work right then and there in a very short amount of time (less than an hour). He even assembled the ceiling fan unit for me prior to installation. He was very courteous and professional. I would definitely use them again.

After describing the service I needed through email and agreeing on a date, Mr. Duhon arrived on time, went in the attic, identified a circuit, ran the romex and connected the fan in about an hour. Thank you Damien.

William Duhon was able to meet me at my convenience to initially assess the problem and gave me a great estimate. The initial problem seemed simple, but he would need to come back the next day when his supply store would be open to purchase the needed part. He returned the next day & found that the problem was not in the meter box, but that the burried wiring that leads from the meter box to the house's braker box had failed & needed replacing. He called me at work to explain this, he gave me only an estimate for the wiring cost & the approximate time it would take him, but he did not say the price per hour would increase because he would bring in his partner to assist him. I gave him phone consent to proceed. He also neglected to tell me I would be paying for the rental of specialized digging equipment. He did not call the gas company to notify them of the planned digging. They hit the gas line that runs from the street to my gas meter. They created an enormous gas leak in the yard right next to my house. They did not even know which gas company serviced the area and had to ask a neighbor to find out. When my husband arrived home from work around 5:30 pm, the electricians were finishing up re-burrying the new wire in the yard, he helped them finish burrying the wire. The electricians also informed him it would be his responsibility to call the gas company to have the gas turned back on, which my husband did. I think it is also important to note that this was one of the first nights it got down to near freezing temperatures, and our heating system runs on gas. I got home at 8 pm that night, the gas company had just come by to restore our gas service and the house still had a strong odor from the leaked gas. William Duhon came to our house the following day with the bill. It was for $2800, which included $500 rental of a digging machine that I was not previously informed of, and $145/hr cost of work because there were 2 electricians, which I was not informed the man-power & price per hr were going to increase from $85/hr as he stated the day before. We negotiated a price with him in which he deducted 2 hrs of work and essentially we payed a little more that $2500. They did repair the electrial problem, but I feel they were unprofessional because they did not give me an estimate before commencing this larger project & they were unaware that you have to call the gas company before you dig up somebody's yard. They seem like honest guys that know how to fix electrical problems and they were flexible with us on the bill, however, they were completely unprofessional. I am dissappointed with Angie's List as a service as well, because the contractor was so highly rated with Angie's List, I had full confidence in their professionalism. I would not recommend Duhon Electric to anyone, and I am also now less likely to recommend Angie's List to my friends.

They were friendly, and very professional. Actually, this was th 2nd time I used. them for electric work. I hired them a 2nd time since I was so pleased with the work they had done before.

They got in touch the same day I called and came out the next day to take a look at my kitchen lights. Damien explained the problem and recommended a solution. He also provided an estimate for the repairs and for installing the light in the hallway. Damien and William actually showed up early for the scheduled appointment, were very professional in their work and the price was exactly what was quoted. I would absolutely use them again and I will recommend them to friends.

It went well and Damien was extremely friendly and easy to talk to.

Called for service prior to Thanksgiving, believe it was Monday. Contractor was out of town in Houston. Indicated they could likely perform the work on Tuesday. Contractor called on Tuesday and asked to delay till Friday. Never called back.

The guys arrived on time, completed the work efficiently, and let me know that I had a small gas leak that I needed to look into. Damian is great at listening to what you want to accomplish and providing you options for completing the job. I'm very satisfied with their work, would certainly use them again, and am grateful that I no longer have a gas leak.

Damien arrived on time and with everything he needed. We found when he got the fan nearly completely installed that the manufacturer had given us a slightly mis-blown glass on the light fixture. Damien said he thought he could even it out if I did not want to take it back and start all over again. He was a perfectionist and when he finished, I could not tell that it had a flaw at all. I was very pleased with the look and the performance of the fan. Then, as an added bonus, I got a $10 discount for being an Angie's List customer!

William and his team were professional, friendly and did great work. We had them install outlets both inside and outside the house - which required going under decking and running electricity from other rooms, etc. Their work was great - and they cleaned up thoroughly which I really appreciated. They were true to their original estimate, even though some of the outside work took more time/work than they had estimated. I would use them again without hesitation.

William showed up on time. I explained to him what we needed. He gave us a quote and asked if we wanted it doen today. I agreed and he completed the job in about an hour. He cleanup up the area before he left. I would use this company again and refer them to others as well.

Damien came out to the house and with precision assembled, installed, and adjusted the heights for two light fixtures, one of which was a hand blown custom light that needed assembly in the air. All the work was done to perfection in one hour and the entire job cost less than $100. Damien really went beyond expectations for service and cost a lot less than expected.

William Duhon was prompt and professional. He did an excellent job. We plan to use Duhon Electric in the future and would recommend them to our friends.
