Damien was extremely responsive. He promptly responded to my email request and we set up the next available appointment that was convenient for my schedule and his. He called and confirmed his arrival time (he was a bit early) and showed up promptly. He and his workman proceeded to quickly install the outlet. I think it took less than 30 minutes. He cleaned up and was out of the house within 45 minutes. Excellent service and very easy to communicate with. He didn't seem "put out" because the job was a small one. He treated me just as he would a client with a larger and more costly project.

Damian arrived about 40 minutes late, but got quickly started. They ran new wire and made several neat holes (We were warned in advance). Took 3.5 hours. Pretty much as expected. Left some debris in cabinets and old wire.

Fan on ceiling fan was working and lights were turned off via the remote. Then the fan and lights quit working. Remote, wall switch and pull chain did not appear to make anything work. Damien's first question was "have you checked the battery in the remote". No, I had not but it had worked just prior to nothing working. It turns out the problem was that the battery in the remote had died. Did I feel dumb. New battery and everything works fine. Also, I had a troublesome light bulb in the hallway that needed changing and he changed it. Total charge - Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to Damien

They suggested that to make things go faster and lower the costs, we should get the switches and plates ourselves and they will charge us an hourly rate. Showed up on time, performed the work, will come back to install new fans.

I called Damian and explained the work to be performed. Got a good estimate and scheduled the work. They arrived on time and completed the work as expected. My only issue was that the remote conflicted with another fan and I had to get on the ladder and change the channel.

After an electrical fire, I was uncomfortable with the work done by the company that showed to replace our breaker panels the day of the accident (and took two days to finish after saying it would take half a day). This is because I had called to try to set up an appointment prior to the fire to have someone check out some flickering lights (if I'd only known how serious that was!), and the electricians who were recommended or had positive AL reports were booked a week or two out. So I was nervous about the guy who was able to show up the same day of our fire. So I called Damien after the other company finished up and he checked things out. He confirmed that while not everything was quite right (other company neglected to add junction boxes where they said they were going to, they broke the seal on our meter without a permit, and a few other things), the breaker boxes were essentially safe. But I really needed some peace of mind, so I asked him to install the junction boxes, replace some loose outlets, fix the kitchen light that worked sometimes and sometimes not, and run an outside line we had been talking about. Damien submitted a quote and we arranged an appointment. So I have to say that when I first met Damien, he came across pretty laid-back. He knew I was freaked out about the safety of our house and tried to calm and assure me we were okay. On the day he and his assistant came to work, however, they were all business. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were efficient and thorough (they even changed out some outlets I missed), and everything turned out great. Even better, he finished much faster and at a much lower price than originally estimated. I would definitely use this company again and will highly recommend it to others. If I could give an A+, I would. Call him if you have a Federal Pacific breaker box and call him now - you need to replace it. Wish I'd known...

They were great and timely. They did an excellent job and we are getting ready to call him again for another job.

I called at 4:30pm on a Thursday afternoon and they said they would have someone call me around lunchtime the next day. They kindly asked if that was okay, if I could wait until the next day. True to their word, the next day William called at noon and said he could make it out to my place later that afternoon. He fixed a busted GFCI outlet in the garage quickly and efficiently. After checking the faulty fireplace switch and determining that it was not an electrical issue, he suggested I contact a company that specializes in installing that type of system to come look it over.

Arrived on time. Cost on estimate. Damien and his brother, William, worked effectively and efficiently. However, they also had time to chat and be personable. I had more than 3 estimates for this job. Some of the handymen that I contacted estimated more for this job than licensed electricians. Duhon Electric's price was similar to others but I like the fact that 2 men came and that I paid for 2 for an hour. I thought this was a good way to handle this type of work. And it worked out as I had hoped.

We highly recommend this company for any electrical work to be done. This was our second time to use them and will always call them when we need electrical work. They kept their appointment and kept to their quoted price which was very reasonable (no surprises). They did a great job and didn't stop until the job was done! They work fast and know just what to do - no standing around trying to figure it out. It is nice to know that there truly is still honest, hard working family businesses out there. We know we will be using them again and recommend anyone to call them for electrical work.

A flushmount light fixture which I had ordered online did not arrive as pictured; I decided to keep it, but felt uncomfortable getting a friend to install it. William explained that the reason for the light fixture's design was actually a safety issue (extra cooling for G4 halogen lights) and, although it could be modified, he diplomatically cautioned against doing so. (I took the advice). He gave me a reasonable estimate for installing it, and quickly changed out the light fixture. After doing this, several outlets were no longer working--it was a simple GFCI issue, which he explained to me. (So, that's how those things work!). He also gave me a time quote for a more extensive future electrical project. Due to my work schedule, I made this appointment almost two weeks' in advance. I was happy that he showed up on time, even though almost two weeks had gone by since I had called. The time estimate he gave me for the future project seemed very reasonable also.

The whole experience was pleasant, quick, and professional. The final price was less than estimated ($300 - $350) and I also received a 10% discount for finding them through Angie's List.

William came by and gave me a free estimate to add 4 outlets to my house for only $300. He ended up performing the work on a Saturday and even better was cool enough to actually help me move some stubborn appliances out of the way. He went above and beyond and I appreciated that.

Excellent. Fast and courteous. Damien is a humble guy and his brother is just as nice and conscientious. Arrived to the minute when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves ("Would it be okay if I borrowed a broom so I can clean up?") The last guy left such a mess it took 30 min. to clean up. Then I realized he short-changed himself $10. I called the next day to get the address and he refused to let me pay, this was on top of the $10 Angie's List discount.

Since it was a small job and we told him that there was no rush, our estimate took a few days to schedule because Damian had a lot of other work. The estimate was a great price compared to others we got (which they said would cost $350, mostly due to the other places "call out" fee) and Damian seemed knowledgeable, so we agreed to use Duhon for the work. He came early the Monday of the next week, per our agreement and after an hour, his brother joined him and they finished up the job quickly (around two hours - there were some complicated wiring issues, as I've already alluded to). Job looked great and they left but then I realized that one of the light switches was interfering with one of the outlets being off or on (not anything they had done - it was a holdover from the previous owner but it affected the work they had done indirectly) so I called them. Damian came over the next day and fixed that problem so that everything functioned perfectly, for no extra charge.

Called for an estimate. Made an appointment for the next day, Friday. Walked him through the work I wanted. Scheduled work for following Thursday (Monday was a holiday). Called him on Tuesday with color choice for switches and confirmed date. Called on Wednesday to arrange time to meet-place is unoccupied. Said around 9 a.m. Damien called at 8:45 to say he was on his way. Was waiting when I arrived 20 minutes later. Remembered what I wanted. He and his brother, William worked until about 3. Came back the next day to finish up about 5 P.M. Very pleasant, friendly, smart, guys. I am a female and I felt very comfortable being alone with them. Felt they were very honest, good people.

I am satisfied with the work. We were originally told that it would take over one week to complete the job. From the date of estimate my husband opened his big mouth and offered an extra $100 if they job could be done faster. The electricians were at my house and had the job done 48 hours after the estimate. Money talks. Always.

All the lights were flickering in the downstairs of my townhouse and the TV went off. As my unit is nearly forty years old, I was alarmed that something major was wrong and might even catch fire. I called Mr. Duhon at 1:30, he answered the phone and said he was en-route to a job but would know soon if he could get to me in about an hour. He called back and arranged to meet me at 3:45. After looking at my problem areas, moving a heavy storage chest and checking the breaker box, he showed me the breaker that was "fried". Then he went to pick up 5 new breakers to replace my old ones (preventive maintenance). He installed them, moved the storage chest back in its place and was finished by 4:45. I was delighted - what a bargain! I really appreciate his service and recommend him highly.

I was very happy with Duhon. They were the only electricians who responded to my calls. They were busy so could not come out for two weeks but arrived the same day to give me an estimate, and then arrived two weeks later as they promised. They worked quickly and efficiently and so were able to get several more projects done for the amount of money they originally bid. I will certainly hire them again when I redo my bathroom.

Very good. Professional and courteous. Work was done in a timely manner. Price was reasonable.

I contacted Duhon Electric on a Monday morning after another electrician had failed to return my phone message left the previous Friday morning. I was advised they would call my wife to make an appointment, which would likely be late in the day. They were able to fit us in within 3 hours of my initial call. The electrician diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly and refused to accept payment. He just asked that we keep them in mind for future electrical needs, which we most certainly will.

Eric arrived a bit late due to traffic and was apologetic. I did not mind, but he ended up taking off $15 from his price as he was sorry to hold us up. I was grateful and happy he offered. He put together an outdoor Hunter Fan, and after replacing one outside, he diagnosed the problem stating that the previous electrician (another company) had not installed properly. From start to finish, he was probably here two hours. He was a very, very pleasant man.

It went great, and I will certainly want to use these guys in the future.

These guys are awesome! They are very professional, polite, and energetic. Their price is very reasonable, and the speed and efficiency of their work made the overall cost even lower. I definitely introduce him to my co-workers who need electrical works done.
