David had originally inspected our A/C when we were closing on our house and told us we'd need a new coil on our 11 year old system. It turns out that with the current tax credits etc. that completely replacing the system wasn't going to cost a whole lot more so we went in that direction. When I originally called to get an estimate David was on the road and was able to swing by in no time at all. He is very professional and pleasant to deal with and certainly knows his business. Within a few short days he had ordered all the equipment and was ready to install during the narrow window that was convenient for us. His crew showed up at 7am on the dot, and by the time I got home from work I had a whole new system, programmed and everything. I literally can't recommend Dash enough!

The communication was very good with the owners. The serviceman arrived a little early actually. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to wait around. He was thorough and answered all of my questions.

Went very smoothly, just as it did the first time I used these folks, and the technician was very friendly and courteous.

David and Pablo are friendly, professional, quick, and competent technicians. At no time do you feel as if you are being conned or given bad information. They analize the problem, explain it to you, lay out options, discuss approximate cost, and once given the go ahead for the work, do it quickly and efficiently. I have used Dash before and recommend them to several friends who have then used them and told me how pleased they were with Dash. I wouldn't use anyone else. I own several properties and Dash has now worked on them all, including my office with 5 units. For 30 years prior to a friend telling me about Dash I have used a half dozen other 'leading' companies and have not ever been as pleased with any company as I am with Dash. I wish they did other work, I'd use them for whatever they did.

I found David and Dash on Angies list, as I've had negative experiences with the companies who respond to American Home Shield calls and do nothing but sell. I had Pablo come over and diagnose the system in 09, when the unit was running without cooling. My home had a "pleneum coil" that was leaking, and oh joy, they don't make plenum coils any longer so a complete rebuild of the attic air handler was required. So when the summer heat turned up this year (10), and the unit continued to run without cooling, I called David for help and a formal quote for a repair vs. replace. David was very helpful in discussing the pro's and con's of a repair vs. replace decision. He took the time to help me understand the factors that influenced the size of the unit and the electric bill. What pushed me over the hump for replacing the entire system was a 10 year parts and labor warranty and a system that was balanced and tuned to push cool air efficiently. I figured that the incremental amount I paid for the replace vs. repair will easily pay for itself with lower maintenance/power bills. I looked at other companies, and got other quotes, but felt very comfortable with David and what he represented to me....there is something about dealing with the owner of the company that I like, especially when they are competent and have a reputation of taking personal pride in each installation. I was able to schedule with him in a fairly short window, and the team was scheduled to show up at 7AM. David and the team showed up on time, and they spent roughly 10 hours working on the install. All of them were polite, professional, and respectful of the house and yard. The new unit is as promised, and it cools the house easily. Clean, professional, on time. David pays attention to the details and it shows in the quality of his work. Oh yes, he told me the exact amount of the invoice when he called two days in advance to confirm the install appointment, and there were no suprises or added charges at the end of the day. I plan on calling David and Dash for all my maintenance on the system. Replacing an air conditioning unit never comes at a convenient time....but if you must do it, I strongly recommend Dash

I was in no hurry, but technician came in one business day after phoning request for a checkup. Did thorough, competent job and made recommendations for owner maintenance. Fair price (and applied Angies List coupon), very pleased.

My wife and I returned from a vacation in June to find our main A/C unit running continuously but not providing any cooling. A quick inspection showed ice on parts of the unit, inside and out. I turned off the unit and put two spare window units in place to take up the slack. It was Sunday afternoon, so I called Dash and got a call back shortly. David said he could send a technician out that evening, but I told him I could wait until normal business hours (next day) to get it fixed. David said it might be later in the day because of previously scheduled appointments. So, I was surprised and pleased when I got an early call on Monday (8:00 a.m.)from David saying that Pablo was on his way. Pablo arrived right on time and got to work diagnosing the problem. There were a number of problems in our 17-year old systems, though the main one was that the problem unit was WAY low on refrigerant. The leak was nearly undetectable, so we didn't have to replace any major parts immediately. However, Pablo added five pounds of refrigerant to the problem unit, and found that our secondary unit also needed refrigerant. He added 1.5 pounds of refrigerant to it as well. In addition, he inspected and cleaned both outside units which hadn't had service in years. Afterwards, both units provided substantially cooler air than they had for a long time. I ended up spending almost $500 for the service call (half of that was for the refrigerant), but it was timely and professionally delivered. It is clear that I will be facing a total replacement soon, so I got a quote for replacement from David. When the time for replacing the units comes, I will probably get a couple of quotes, but I will absolutely give Dash the inside track if they are close in price.

My A/C stopped cooling. I called several companies but they were able to send someone that day! Pablo came out, checked my unit and found that the compressor needed replacing. We discussed new units, etc., he was to have someone contact me the next day. The day wore on and no one called, so at the recommendation of my son-in-law, I called AIM A/C and Heating. They sent Jesse out right away to check on the unit. He concurred with the previous service man. He called his company and asked for quotes on either replacing the compressor or installing a total new unit. I decided to replace the compressor only at this time and was told they could do it the next day. When the Dash service man called back, he was very nice and courteous, but did not know if he could get such a compressor and was too booked with jobs to attend to it for a few days. AIM came out the next day and replaced my unit. It is working very well and it cost me approximately $2300.00. Needless to say, I am very pleased with them and their work. They also were able to determine that I could install a heat pump unit with the wiring and connections I have (that was news to me, as I live in an all electric, older townhouse, and had been told I was not wired for a heat pump by the Dash technician).

Dash was prompt in responding, and punctual on the appointed date. He checked out the A/C in the attic and discovered tape the builder used to tape the ducts together had separated; he replaced that tape with superior tape, which he said would remain in place. He also provided information on what types of filters to use and, at my request, programmed the thermostats appropriately. He was upbeat, thorough, and reasonable.

Great experience. Upstairs air was not working at all. Pablo Tavera and another technician diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repairs right away. Good explanation of the problem, the solution and the billing details. Also got some good tips re: filters and AC care.

Contacted Dash and made arrangements for service call. Was able to get an appt within 3-4 days. They actually called the day before offering to come by that day because they had a service tech in the area. I was unable to take them up on their offer because I was at my office, so stayed with our planned appt. The tech called ahead when he was on his way. Tech seemed knowledgeable and was professional.

They did a great job. Out of the 4 companies from Angie's List we reviewed, their bid was the highest but I was impressed by their work philosophy. It's a small company and David, who is head of the company, did the work along with 2 other guys. I also chose them because they install American Standard. The day after they installed it I had a City of Austin inspector coming to inspect it to qualify for a rebate. About an hour before the inspector came, Dash came back because they didn't think they'd completed everything. I was here when the inspector showed up and he had some details to take care of and Dash took care of them on the spot. The service was excellent and the brand was one I was told was the best by someone else (not Dash). They also installed a safety device, a floating switch, for us which they came back and installed at no charge.

David took a look at my existing 20+ year old system and gave me a bid on replacing it. I asked if I should go ahead and upgrade now or wait until the unit broke down. I appreciated his honesty when he suggested that I wait. Turns out I didn't have to wait long. Within 6 weeks, my heater quit working and it was cold outside. Once I called back, my new system was installed within days. David seemed to take a lot of pride in his work, even had me crawl up into the attic so he could show me what had been done. He also took the time to show me how the new thermostat worked and actually programmed it for me! I gave him an A in price because the form forced me to rate it. I'm really not sure how his price compares with other companies--I hired Dash because I felt confident in their ability to do a good job.

Last night heat went out at my home. Called this morning for an price estimate, they were very responsive and clear about the price and service availability. I called back ~1PM for an appt, the guy showed up at the door exactly on time. He was professional and very detailed in explaining the issues and what he is doing to fix the problem. He identified the issues that caused our heating shut down very quickly and indicated what should be done. He had the required supplies in his truck, quickly replaced and did some diagnostics to report the general health our heating system. He gave other general suggestions about heating coil repair in case of congestion in it and new systems etc. Price is a bit high for me. I didn't know that they include the labor time from the time they start out the door at the company. Overall very good quality of service.

I called them on Thursday night when I got home a realized the furnace was not working. I left a message with the service. Within ten minutes my call was returned. David, the owner called me back. He offered to come out that evening for time and half or the morning. Since it was not that cold I opted for the morning service. He arrived promptly at 7:30am. Diagnosed the valve problem, went out and bought a replacement valve and installed it. He was professional and courteous. I even showed him the house inspectors report that I received at the time I bought my house two years ago about some issues that had been on the statement about the heating and A/C he said they were minor and didn't need to be done any time soon. To me this indicated an ethical service provider. He said that they also did routine annual maintenance on A/C and heating for somewhere around $70-$80. He also instructed me on ways to save energy and protect the longevity of my heating and air system. He recommended using cheaper air filters and replacing them monthly, rather than the more expensive ones that say to replace every three months. He said the ones with the thicker filter actually create more strain on the system and make it have to work harder. That made sense to me. The job was done promptly and professionally. I will probably arrange for the annual maintenance service with them. It is a family owned and operated company.

I call and they said they could send someone out the right away. Pablo came out with in 40 min and right when they said they would. Ive had bad luck with AC companies, and this was the first time I needed someone as an Angies List member. I finally found a great company. He found a problem with a breaker and quickly picked one up and was back in 10 min. Pablo didnt goof off at home depot and charge me for the time. You could tell he cared about my satisfaction with the service. Thanks Angies List!

When the guy came out to do the work, it was very hot in Austin and it was a weekend. He came out within half and hour and fixed it. He was wonderful. I spent $250 on the job. He told me about the problem with the unit. They were excellent. I’ll certainly recommend them.

They came out and did a great job at a very reasonable price. I like them a lot and I thought for the amount of time they spent here and what they did the price was fair. They are really, really good and very, very nice.

They are great. They work in a timely and orderly manner. I have not dealt with them personally as my husband deals with them always.

I am a pretty tough customer and I must say, from request to service, I felt valued and satisfied. At no point did I feel uncomfortable. Dash and Pablo specifically had great reviews and I was most satisfied with my service as well. Pablo took the time to not only explain but program my new thermostat for me even though I said I would look at it later. It would have taken me time later to read and digest the information and I most certainly would have been stuck not knowing how to get my AC running as quickly. Pablo was happy to answer and explain each step of his evaluation to me.

He brought the issues to our attention. He made a number of repairs. Everything went well and he didn't even charge too much extra for all that he did.

A.C. went out in our 5,000 foot office on Thursday. Hot and no way to cool. Called Dash because we have used them before and liked them. They sent Pablo the technician out immediately. He diagnosed the problem (the coil, of course) and gave us a price on replacing the coil. The old unit was at least 25 years old. We asked for a quote on a new unit and David, the boss, called with several options, as I had requested. David scheduled us for the following Tuesday, but when I told him it was too hot too work, he sent Pablo out again on Friday to start working. Luckily a cold front had come thru that night and it was pleasant in the office. Pablo worked hard all day, was friendly, knowledgeable, and as quiet as a mouse, tore out old unit, got it down tight stairs (without touching anything with it), etc. It was a two day job so David called me when they were ready to go on Saturday morning and I met them at the office at 8 a.m. They put in the new unit, finishing in three hours. The day before, David and Pablo had carried the compressor 100 feet down very narrow area between back fence and wall of building, lifting it over four other compressors to get it in place. They replaced floor in very narrow heater closet prior to setting it in place. They revented the closet and heater to bring it up to code. I suspect that was extra work, but they stuck to their price (with which I was very pleased) David showed me what they'd done, explained it to me, and left the place as clean as when they arrived. Both David and Pablo were absolutely sterling individuals in EVERY manner. I had used Dash (David came out) when my home a.c. stopped cooling this summer on a 103 degree day. A co-worker told me that our company had been using Dash for a short while (having dropped two big name companies for various reasons), so I called them. Their Angies List comments said they were very busy and there would be a wait. When I explained that relatives with two very young kids were coming to visit in two days (they don't know what real heat is) Dave showed up in an hour or two, made the a.c. work, took care of some other problems that should have been obvious to me in the outside HVAC closet, cleaned the dirt out of the compressor louvers, told me my closet was unvented and how dangerous it was and that I needed to get it fixed, not expecting me to pay him to do it. I took his advice and the thing is up to code now. This company is unsurpassable in every respect and unimpeachably one of the very best service companies I've ever encountered (I own six properties in Austin so I've use a few).

My A/C had absolutely no freon (a roofing nail had gone through the line causing it to leak). Complicating the situation was the fact that the leak was in my very tight attic near where the roof sloped down so it was difficult to get to. Other A/C companies had told me I would need to cut a hole in my ceiling in order to fix the line. DASH was able to fix the line without cutting into my ceiling and without replacing the entire line which would have been very expensive. I don't have a good sense of how reasonable the price was - I think it was a little high b/c I had to buy so much freon to refill the tank. David and his wife (who also works for DASH) were professional, responsive, and very pleasant - they even worked with me to get the A/C fixed while I was out of town. I've recommended them to a neighbor and would recommend them again.

They were just very communicative, really nice, and on time. They are there when they say they are going to be there. I really liked them. They were very friendly to work with. They also replaced some coils for me a little while back. I had checked their price with others, and it was comparable.

These people were fantastic. It's July, Austin is in the middle of the worst summer ever and my AC bites it on Thursday night. Friday morning I called the company that installed the unit but who frankly had not given me good customer service. They were rude so I hung up and started to panic. I found Dash on Angie's List. Jeanette was a dear and could tell I was a little panicky. They were backed up with calls and she recommended two other companies in town she said might be able to get me in. I called and got negative responses from both of them and called her back and asked to be put on the list. I got a call that afternoon and they were able to work me in. The tech, Pablo, was efficient and professional. These guys saved my weekend and put a smile on my face. Prices were very reasonable also.
