Description of Work: I used Dash Heating & Air Conditioning to install 2 air conditioning units and a heating unit.

Description of Work: One of our a/c units was not working. We scheduled with Dash to have it fixed and also maintain the other units (we have 4). Mitchel, from Dash, showed up promptly at 7 and got right on the job. it turned out to be complicated, as there was apparently a bad thermostat AND a bad controller board. The effect this had was apparently to freeze the system in the loft because the compressor outside was still working and pumping refrigerant while the unit in the loft was not blowing. We ended up with ice 4 inches thick around the coil in the loft. That's a lot of detail for the purpose of pointing out that this job took a while. Mitchell replaced controller, thermostat, a capacitor, and one or two other minor things, and installed a float to prevent flooding if the pan gets full and the vent line is blocked (at least I think that is what the float is for). He also checked out the other three units, loft and outside, doing this while defrosting the frozen unit so as not to waste time. The total cost was shockingly high, as it took 7 hours and we apparently replaced about $600 worth of equipment. I don't think Mitchel was wasting time, there was just a lot going on, including picking up parts. We spoke to Dash management and they very kindly gave us a discount to offset the unexpected and unplanned budget hit. A more experienced HVAC engineer might have been faster (Mitchel was about 30), but then again maybe not. Impossible for us to tell. But certainly we saw no evidence of any wasted time - he was busy the whole time. All in all, I felt we got good, professional service which fixed the problem in a thorough fashion. I will use them for our maintenance going forward.

Description of Work: Unit stopped cooling. Called Monday morning, scheduled for noon to 1pm arrival. Showed up at noon, got right to work and fixed problem in short order. Then went above and beyond and checked out several other areas, including some very sound advise on how to avoid service calls in the future.

The technician called me back within 30 minutes and said he was on his way. They were upfront with the pricing and got my ac up and running on a 110 degree day. Couldn't be happier with the level of service i recieved.

Description of Work: I called Dash for a second opinion on the recommendation of another company concerning repairing my AC or purchasing a new unit. Regardless of the fact that they knew that they were not going to get my business, the owners were true professionals and provided excellent advise that helped greatly with my situation. I would highly recommend them and if I ever change my current service contract with the other company they will be the first people I contact.

Description of Work: My a/c conked out and froze over. Dash Service Company's owner, David Smiecinski, came out within 2 hours (!) on a Sunday and fixed it. In addition to vacuuming the air coil, he cleaned the area around the unit and did extra things above and beyond the requirements of the call. He explained each step of the process to me and gave me tips on how better to maintain the unit.

It turns out that the filter had not been cleaned, preventing air flow. The mechanic found the problem quickly, and while there, did a regular maintenance check. He found that the gas regulator needed adjustment, and did that. The job took one hour, and no parts were required.

Description of Work: When I came home from work last night my AC was blowing non-stop, but the air wasn't cool. I called Dash after 5 p.m. and they had someone at my house first thing this morning to fix the problem.

Description of Work: Service call on frozen heat pump unit. (Provides both heating and cooling.) Inspected and serviced both exterior and attic components of system. Diagnosed problem, cleared lines, cleaned fins, added coolant, checked ducts and vents. Made recommendations about operation and service.

Description of Work: Investigated and fixed a loud 60 cycle humming sound in the AC Mode of a Bryant Heat Pump. Turns out that the screws holding the reversing valve transformer came loose. All that was required was to tighten the screws. He also checked out the unit (Pressures and current draw).

Description of Work: They checked our levels of Freon and also our filters in our air conditioning unit.
