He gathered the older screens and put them on the side of the house for me to store if needed. The new solar screens are well made, fit great, and definitely make a difference on the sunny side of my home. Very pleased with the results and would definitely use them again if needed!!

+ -1 moreDoug came out and measured our windows last week then emailed his quote the next day. We gave him the go ahead and the window screens were ready and installed in less than a week. Dough was on time and professional both visits and his price was in line or below the other quotes we received. Other companies tried to upsell our window screens for the back of the house that only gets partial sun by putting solar screens where they weren't needed. Doug suggested we use a combination of solar and bug screens that work well with the layout of the house and the sun exposure. The windows look uniform and professional.
Description of Work: Installed a combination of bug screens, 60% solar screens and 90% solar screens on our entire house as needed for sun exposure. 24 window screens in all.

+ -1 moreWe are very happy with the work Doug White did for us and recommend them wholeheartedly. These guys run an honest business and do high quality work. They know their craft well and offered the right things to think about before making a decision on screen types, shade, etc., Our questions were answered directly and honestly and the quality is well done. I gave them all A's except a B for responsiveness. I had to follow up a few times, but that's because they are very busy. Busy is what happens to companies that offer a good product and quality service at a fair price. Doug was upfront about their bandwidth ahead of time which I appreciated. I wouldn't let that hold you back and would use them again.

+ -1 moreI called for an estimate at least four times, on two occasions I spoke with a very brusque Dan, who said they would contact me later but they didn't. On the third try I was told by Dan to call Doug, when I called Doug he told me to call Dan. On the fourth try I got an office clerk that was right off the bat rude to me explaining he was just an office clerk and he couldn't help me. I don't know what is going on over there, but I'm done.

+ 0 moreExcellent company with great prices, personable service, ON TIME. I even asked for some of their cards to share with my neighbors. All the solar screens I ordered were custom made for my home... and I have a lot of windows. The screens that I ordered cut down the heat and light by 90% but I can still see fine through the windows during daylight hours. I did not realize it when I asked them to come out for a free quote, but the screens are also good for security as others can't see inside during the daytime so they don't know if anyone is home. This is not a big company but a family run operation with a lot of years of service to the Austin community.

+ -1 moreThis company has the best products I have seen at any store around town. This is their focus and not much else, so they have theexpertise. Since I would Mon-Fri and could not be home for the pre-work of measuring and deciding what was the correct door, Dan'sapproach was perfect. The 2-man team delivered the door for installation to my home soon after it arrived. I did not pay in full until the door was properly installed. Dan also took the time to explained how the 2 locked worked and the door handle. No items went undiscussed. A neighbor ever came by and asked him a ton of questions and this did not affect his work ethics and he was very polite and continued with the work at hand. Thanks Dan for the great work and professional attitude!
Description of Work: I viewed the storm doors with screens on line. This was the type of door I wanted to add a bit of security for myself when I open the front door and to keep my 2 dogs in the house. Nothing for me is worse than answering the front door and zoom, out the door the pups go to play or see who is knocking. However, I did not a good quality door that the HOA BD would approve of also. Dan White's personnel, another Dan, had dropped by after I filled out the form on-line, did a measurement and dropped off a great flyer of the particular door I desired and later e-mailed me the price range. I had to submit for my HOA and the price range and quality of storm door did pass with approval. I also emailed that letter over to Dan. Much to my surprise I found that the door would be order without my paying first, and it included the installation of the door. It has 5 hinges and the glass is strong. It was a dark bronze so it blended in with the dark brown front door. This all made the HOA very pleasure to see such a good looking product that had curb appeal. Dan came when the time schedule worked out for me and did a great job performing the installation. This became time consuming due to the fact that the wood frame around my front door did not have squared corners. So the exact width was slightly different at the bottom of the frame vs the top of the door frame . This was not a problem for Dan and he worked away on chipping some wood out and place a nice frame around the door. This also ensure the storm door seals very nicely in a storm and heat weather.

When I called them, their representative informed me that they accept jobs in "Georgetown proper", but do not accept jobs in "Sun City Georgetown." I suspect that Sun City's extra regulations or other requirements of contractors doing work here makes projects in Sun City less profitable for the contractor.

The work was completed within the time frame he described and we are pleased with the results. The windows look great and the solar shading should be helpful in keeping the house cooler. He submitted the documents for our city energy rebate.

I picked it up, paid the $37 and reinstalled the door. He honored his estimate and due date exactly- with superor workmanship.

Description of Work: Another company had given us an estimate for replacing our solar screens and just the front of the house we going to be $1600. Doug quoted $1400 for the entire house, and the front windows have the highest level solar protection (we get afternoon sun in those windows).

+ -1 moreGreat. My only regret was that I couldn't figure out how to do this myself, since I know it might be a simple job. However, I did a little research and found out that an issue sometimes (and probably for sure if I did it myself!) was getting the screening into place nice and tight with no wrinkling, so I was interested in a professional job. They did a fine job, screens were in nice and flat.
Description of Work: After an accurate email estimate, we dropped off two large window screens that our dogs had damaged. We only needed aluminum screening reinserted into the aluminum frames. Dan White Screens replaced the screening so they were ready to pick up after a few days.

First time out, they gave a very good estimate that they said would not change. Two months later when I finally decided to have the job done, they came out again to give a new estimate because I added additional windows. Took them less than a week to fabricate the new screens and they installed them in a couple of hours. The screens look great and we are very satisfied with the quality of the work.
