Cold is on the Right Plumbing

The plumbers showed up on time and took the time to listen to what we needed. While they were checking our gas lines, they kept us up to date and informed. They finished quickly and thoroughly.

Extremely satisfied with this experience. Excellent scheduling and communication. Courteous, professional, and knowledgeable employees. I will going back to Cold is on the Right for any future plumbing needs.

We needed a water heater replaced. We considered several companies and narrowed to Cold Is On The Right and two others. Brendin, the crew lead, came by our home to assess the situation. We discussed options and decided to go tank-less. Their price was competitive with other companies and we selected Cold Is On The Right because they were more knowledgeable and easier to work with than the other companies. Brenden showed up with a crew and made sure they knew exactly what to do and he went over everything with me. Their crews show up in twos, one master plumber and one assistant, so that while the master plumber is doing the technical work the assistant is handling everything else; very efficient which means saving us money. They covered our wood floors and carpet. Our original water heaters were removed, the attic was modified to mount the tankless and our tankless was installed and running in no time. I talked with the crews about what they were doing and about some other things we were considering, water softener for one. They were friendly, easy to work with and made useful suggestions. Everything was completed to our satisfaction including our flooring was kept in perfect condition. In the end I felt like they were part of the family. We love our tankless water heater and think Cold Is On The Right is the best choice.

This was a fantastic experience! I left a message for Cold is on the Right at 6:45am knowing they didn't open until 9. I got a call back from Carrie at 8:30 am and we discussed how my sump pump warning light was on and that there was standing water in the yard. She had a cancellation so she was able to fit me in for the afternoon between 2 and 4. Carrie called me at 12:30 and said they were ahead of schedule so they could take me even sooner. Billy came out to take a look at what was going on. We both figured the issue was likely the 19 year old pump. He literally dug into the situation and confirmed that it was the pump. What we didn't know was whether it was blocked or dead. He gave me an estimate for both scenarios and did some more testing. Once he drained the stopped-up water and got to the pump, he surmised that it was dead and would require replacement. He left to get the needed part and came back and finished the installation. It was a little complicated as he had to cut out the old one and do some patch work on the pipe. He had it all fixed up and tested everything to make sure it was functioning. With everything working he closed it up and buried the power cables as best he could. The power cord for the pump was a bit short so he said he would drop by the next day and extend the cord a bit so that it was easier to mow around and be less of a safety hazard (even though it is very close to the house and not in any sort of walkway). Overall the project took around 2 hours. From beginning to end, I experienced excellent communication, friendly people and professionalism . Billy did a great job outside dealing with the heat, the bugs and the horrific smell that only sewers can deliver. I can't recommend Cold is on the Right enough.

Communication before service was very good setting up appointment, contacting us at different phone numbers provided, checking up on appointment. Plumbers were professional, courteous and did a good job. I was not present due to having to travel, but family let me know these guys were great and the work was too.

I wasn't going to call at first because their name seemed so cheesy, but from the first call ( I ended up making many before they came) everyone was polite and very helpful. I tried calling a competitor but the receptionist was so rude I never even discussed pricing. I just called Keri back. I may have been able to get a cheaper price but their service standards were so high I am glad I called them. Their plumber allowed my husband to go pick up the part, saving us money while he went to another job. Then he came back and installed it when my husband got back.

Brenden patiently explained my options and gave me a competitive price on his initial visit. Two days later, Frankie and Kevin arrived on schedule and installed the new equipment in a timely and professional manner. They were friendly, answered all my questions and left no debris or dirt behind. Job well done by the entire Cold Is On The Right team.

I got an estimate on the hot water heater last week from Cold is on the Right. Got one other estimate from another company but even though that one had good Angie's List feedback, I found other feedback (Google, Yelp, etc.) that wasn't very encouraging. I also called that other place with a question about the estimate, and they never called me back. Found nothing but good stuff about Cold is on the Right everywhere I could find feedback, not just on Angie's List. Their estimate wasn't the lowest but I felt I would be happier with their work. I made the appointment on Friday for the following Tuesday (today). The gal at the office, Carrie, called me the day before (which would now be yesterday) to confirm today's appointment. Originally the arrival window was 12 to 2 p.m. Got a call from Carrie before 2 that the team from CiotR was running late and would be there around 2:30 p.m. Reason for running late? They got really dirty at their last job and wanted to get cleaned up before coming to my house. Yes, that's right. They stopped off to clean themselves up from their previous job so they wouldn't look a mess when they got to me. The point scale for this organization started heading upwards right then. Brendin and Mike (?) arrived at 2:30 p.m., which was the new time frame, so given that I knew about the time adjustment, they pretty much got there 'on the dot'. Mike started draining the hot water heater while Brendin handled the two slow drains. Master bathroom drain was basically cleaning out the build up from 20 years' use. Kitchen required some new PVC pipes and various adjustments. Both drains now work like new! Installation was completed on the hot water heater and Brendin came in and ran the air pockets out of the lines from the kitchen. There was already hot water! Brendin then had me follow him up into the attic so he could show me the new heater and explain everything that they did. The only difference between the estimate was the cost of the additional work they did on the two drains, which Brendin had basically verbally quoted to me when they were doing the hot water heater quote. No changes there, so no surprises. The only thing of which I was 'robbed' was the need to be anxious or upset due to things going awry. I can live with that. ;o) After all work was done, there was a nice "high five" from both guys and they were off. Carrie from the office then called about 30 minutes later to confirm everything got done and see if I had any questions. I talked to Brendin while he was working on the kitchen drain about other services, like new construction plumbing. This is definitely something they do, and Cold is on the Right just made my very short list to use when my husband and I build our new home in about a year. I will use Cold is on the Right again. I will recommend this organization to everyone who asks, and probably to a lot of people who don't ask because this was such a great experience.

Brendin and his crew did an outstanding job. We were expecting the repipe to be quite an ordeal (another bidder had told us it would be "brutal") but we were pleasantly surprised by how painless it actually was. They planned the work so that we had access to at least one working bathroom at all times during the repair and they were very careful to protect against dust and damage to our property. At bid, they estimated it would take 18 - 24 holes to access all connections but by using a remote camera to investigate inside the walls, they were able to get it done with only 16, thereby reducing follow on repair costs. They showed up to work on time, kept us continuously informed as to what was going on, and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. They made suggestions and asked for our input when choices presented themselves. They provided three new shower valves, two wall plates, and two spigots since the existing ones were soldered and couldn't be easily reused - at no additional cost to us. A couple of minor mistakes were corrected immediately upon discovery. They completed the work in four days, well within the range quoted at bid. They recommended a sheetrock repairer/painter who also did a great job. Cold is on the Right's bid wasn't the lowest but I can't imagine getting a better result from any of the others. Repipe reviews from other Angie's List members swayed our decision to go with this contractor and we are very glad we did. This contractor is highly recommended for repipe projects or any other plumbing need.

They got the job done and they did a good job. They were punctual. It was a good experience. I thought it was a fair price. They were quick.

I initially added Cold is on the Right to Angie's List when I replaced the plumbing in my house and wrote the first review. I called this week after I broke my garbage disposal. Kari was extremely helpful and was quick to follow-up with any questions I had. Billy was great to work with... friendly, on time, and fixed the problem quickly. I highly recommend CIOTR and happy to see all the positive reviews they've received. Well deserved-

They service went well was done in five mins and I was only charged for a service call.

Installation abd repair work completed in timely manner with no required callbacks.

They wanted to charge me a fee to come out and bid the work. I knew nothing about this company other than what I read on Angie's List. I didn't know if their bid would be over priced or reasonable. I had several bids and the prices were all over the map. I was definitely not going to pay money to allow a company the opportunity to bid on a job.

Professional and on time. I would call them again for plumbing service.

In January we had our fourth water leak in our copper plumbing. The water leaks were random pin hole leaks in the copper pipes not associated with any joints or external damage. The likely issue was due to high levels of sulfate in the water supply that lead to the pinhole leaks in the pips. Brendin and his team came out and went through our options for re-plumbing the house to remove all the damaged copper pipe and to replace it with something that would not have the same issues with our water. He went through the options and we ended up choosing to replace the copper with PEX and included a manabloc to give us the capability to shut off any single end point in the house. His team came in and spent 3 days installing all the new plumbing. They did a great job first putting in all the new PEX runs before turning off any of the water so that we were not stuck without water for multiple days. To install all the new plumbing they had to cut a bunch of holes in the sheet rock to get access to all the fixtures and they did a good job keeping the number of these to a minimum. They were very professional and courteous and when the completed the job they cleaned up all the mess that resulted from cutting into the sheet rock. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and would recommend them to anyone that needs any plumbing work.

I was very impressed with Billy and his assistant, Mike. Both were very pleasant, knowledgable and efficient. I made the call to have the slow drip in the dishwasher line fixed that I had tried to do myself but was stumped; they showed me how they did it so I'll be able to do that kind of thing in the future. While they were here I had them look at several other things. The first thing was the sprayer attachment to the sink faucet which Billy quickly determined was due to calcium build-up and easily cleaned out each little hole so it sprays like new. Then I had them check a toilet that had a periodic leak from the tank into the bowl. They determined it was another calcium problem and cleaned the area and replaced the flapper. The calcium problems prompted us to take a look at the water softener, and they diagnosed a dead motor. Since I didn't have a manual, Billy pulled it up on his smart phone. The charge for all that was $112.50. The toilet problem started back up later so Billy and Mike came back by the following morning. This time they figured it was the fill valve. They quoted about $70 to replace it, applying the $45 for the previous day's work on the toilet. My wife and I decided against it for now since the leak isn't very bad and being retired, our pennies are more precious. I remembered the half-finished job I had started to fix a leak in the bathtub faucet and had them take a look at it. With their know-how, it was a few minutes for them to finish it. Then I asked if they could look at the dishwasher door which had recently been installed by a family member as a birthday gift for my wife, and the door wasn't closing right. Billy said they don't work on appliances but he took a look at it anyway, went to some effort to check it out and told me what he thought the problem was which the family member and I may be able to adjust. They didn't charge any additional for what they did on this second visit. They said they would do the labor for installing a new water softener for around $150. I was impressed with every aspect of their service and will definitely use them in the future. The only glitch at all was the office person forgetting to call me back on the previous late Friday afternoon, and she apologized for it.

They were professional, courteous and efficient. For the services they provided their cost of services was extremely reasonable. I will definately put them on my list of preferred plumbing companies and recommend them highly. I had been without water for three days so they have my eternal gratitude.

We had a situation where all of our showers and faucets were not working except for in the upstairs guest bathroom. Nothing else in the house was working. First, I tried to diagnose and fix it myself but the problem did not get any better. So we called Cold is on the Right and scheduled an appointment. They arrived for the appointment on time, and we explained the problems to them. Within 5 minutes they discovered the problem! The problem was that our watersoftener was leaking its media beads from the ion exchange tank and the beads had travelled all over our house and clogged most of our faucets, showers and toilets It also clogged the line the washer and the dishwasher. At first I felt bad that it was so obvious, and that if I had removed one of the faucet aerator screens I would have seen the issue right away. However, then I realized the amount of work it would have taken me to flush every supply line to every water outlet in the house, and I was glad I had called for help. Once they discovered the problem, they wrote up a quote to flush every water supply line in the house. I agreed, and they began the job. Most of the supply lines were easy to flush, however as few, such as the line to our dishwasher, took some extra work. Within about 90 minutes, they had completed flushing the water softener media beads out of the water supply lines and had all the lines working normally. They also adjusted the water pressure of the main water supply from the street. Despite having to pay for something I probably could have fixed myself, what took them less than 90 minutes to complete would have taken me a whole day! I was very satisfied with their work and felt the price was fair. I will definitely call them again if we have future plumbing issues.

First let me say as a leader of people, I'm always impressed with proactive actions. You'll win me over every time. Make me feel like you're honored that I would consider spending money with you and I probably will. I called these guys after hours when I had a water line rupture in my yard. I didn't leave a message because I was looking for an emergency service. CIOTR called me back the next day having noticed that I called and asked if I needed there service. WINNER. Not only that, they came when they said they would, apparently an industry cliche not to, and they were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I had a sense of comfort that they would do the job right and with quality. Good guys. Good business. Will use them again and recommend them.

Excellent! Once I finished installing the log set (placement of the logs and embers, wire connections for remote transmitter and receiver) I turned it on and the gas works perfect! I really appreciate the owner working with us, because I wanted to install the rest of the log set myself once the gas was connected.

Remembered these folks from winter when they creatively combine a community service with advertising by going door to door and handing out free outdoor faucet covers before a big cold front comes through. So glad we did! I called to make an appointment and asked about general diagnostic pricing. There is a reasonable initial diagnostic fee, but that is waived and applied to repairs if you allow them to complete the repair service. They also offer an Angie's List discount of 10%. The crew was great about listening to our concerns and providing recommendations. They wrote up a quote on the spot to include recommended repairs and optional additional services. No pressure to commit to anything and they actually offered to go back out to the van to give my wife and I time to discuss the quote in private. After we agreed to the services, they were great about showing me what they had done, issues they found during the repair and even a few pointers for little do-it-yourself things. Since some parts were not in the van, the crew was only able to complete part of the job at our appointment time, but as promised, they called later in the day to make sure we were still available and came by with the parts to complete the job. Upon completion, we were encouraged to do our own quality inspection to ensure satisfaction before signing off on the work and making payment. All around great experience! Highly recommend these guys!

Thank you to Kari in the office for scheduling the visit at the first availability. Brendin and Kevin, who came to help me with the issue, were pleasant to deal with. Brendin projected competence and confidence, we discussed the issue and agreed on the troubleshooting steps (re-caulking was the first one), Brendin also responded to various of my other questions in a professional manner and provided detailed answers, which I appreciate. My toddler daughter was fascinated with Brendin and Kevin, my wife appreciated them taking their shoes off before going upstairs without our asking and I appreciate the team being able and availalbe to help me and will be happy to work with the company, Brendin and his team in the future with my plumbing needs.

Thank goodness for Cold is on the Right! We had some toilets with a bidet imported and then had trouble finding a plumber to install them - in fact, several plumbers refused to even try (although they had been successfully installed elsewhere). We eventually found a plumber to install them, but he did such a poor job they started leaking immediately! Here is why Brendin and his apprentices at Cold is on the Right are plumbing gods: they came and looked at the toilets because it was a challenge; they were not satisfied with the job when there were a few drops still leaking; they honored a price they had quoted despite having to reset the first toilet 3 times to get it leak-free; they were very competent, professional, friendly and kept my carpets clean. We have found our go-to plumbers!
