Cold is on the Right Plumbing

Cold in on the Right did a great job in replacing the old sewer line (orangeburg) with new PVC pipes! Our sewer line was backing up into the shower area. Brendin and his team used cameras to detect that it was clogged right outside of the hose. The old sewer line was starting to collapse and was now very narrow and oval shaped. Brendin recommended replacing the sewer line to prevent further problems and issue. Brendin, Frank, Billy and the team were great in making sure that the project was done correct and in a timely manner. Cold is on the Right is my go to plumber for all of my plumbing needs.

Brendin and his teams of professionals were great. We were very impressed with the knowledge and commitment that the Cold is on the Right team has. They not only replaced all of the old pipes in the house, they made sure that our water heater and washer machine lines were okay. This project took about one weeks, given the extent of work that was needed. The guys were on time and kept me posted every step of the way. Cold is on the Right will always be my plumbers. I strongly recommend Brendin and his team for any and all plumbing needs.

Connecting a washing machine sounds easy enough, right? Well, I bought a new washer from Lowe's to replace an irreparable washer and Lowe's installers could not remove the old hoses from the faucet. They were stuck or corroded together. I tried WD40 and it didn't work. I called CIOTR as they were highly rated on this and Yelp, and were reasonably close to my home. I had to go out of town in 2 days and they were able to come the next day. Brendan came right on time, and in trying to remove the old hose, and the pipe broke, pouring water in the laundry room. Brendan ran out of the house to find and shut off the house water supply. It made quite the mess, soaking a carpet and bathroom rugs. The only reason I gave CIOTR a B in quality is they probably should have shut the water off preventatively but that may be too demanding on my part. Because once the pipe broke, new faucets had to be brazed on both hot and cold water and the job took over 3 hours, which they said should have been billed at $375. But, to their credit, they honored the original quote.

I had a wet area in my front yard for about 2 months. Wasn't a lot of water but always a puddle. I scheduled an appointment and they were prompt and friendly. It took some digging but they eventually found the backwash line on my water softener had broken. I was given a choice to pay the base fee for the visit or a reasonable additional charge for them to repair. I had them repair the line. All-in-all I was extremely happy with the service.

Billy arrived on time, assessed the problem quickly, gave me a written quote for the work. I agreed with the quote and he performed the work quickly and correctly with no mess. Very courteous and professional. I would recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience with these guys. We had a shower remodeled and we hired them for the plumbing. Brenden was helpful, knowledgeable and followed up on everything. His workers were on time, courteous, clean and respectful. They even had to tear out some sheet-rock and fix an item the contractor messed up and didn't charge me for it. After the job was finished I wanted a few things looked at, he sent his guys out and followed up to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Great job all around!

Another great experience with Cold Is On The Right, whom we have relied upon many times in the past for planned and emergency plumbing services for both our home and our rental property. Kari at the office is courteous and prompt, following up where necessary to confirm necessary details and answer any questions. During this most recent visit, Brendin and Kevin came to replace our dying water heater, which we wanted to replace to avoid an emergency repair while otherwise depriving the rest of the family with daily hot water use. We received a competitive price for the tank and installation services, fully understanding what the minimum requirements were while being given options on "good ideas", e.g. a thermal expansion unit that was otherwise missing from the original, multi-year-old installation of the previous tank. We're very comfortable with trusting Cold Is On the Right, professionals who do what you need when you need it, which is precisely what we were looking for. When soliciting other bids, they're highly competitive on price - the lowest in this last round of services - which only made it easier to choose them!

I had an American Standard toilet that had been inhabited by a ghost; it would randomly refill its tank when no one was looking. Gary, the Exorcist Plumber, and his sidekick Kevin, were at my house within an hour after I called. They assessed the problem (leaking flapper-thingy) and gave me estimates on both repairing the existing toilet or replacing it entirely. In an effort to avoid a re-infestation of plumbing poltergeists, I opted to have the toilet replaced. They proceeded to procure a new toilet and completed the installation within 3 hours from when I had initially called them. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would say that you can't go wrong when you're On The Right!

I noticed a part of our garage floor that looked like it was wet all the time, you know, kind of darker than the rest of the cement with little hairline cracks at the surface. There is an outside faucet in the wall very close to where the spot is. Gary Hopkins from Cold Is On the Right (great name by the way) promptly came out and had a thorough look at the situation. His determination was that is was simply how the concrete cured and that there would be moisture on the top of the concrete if the plumbing had been leaking. He could not detect any moisture. He offered to look on a deeper level if I wanted him to, which could run into hundreds of dollars, but told me he didn't think it would reveal a leak and wasn't worth spending the money on. The company had a $39 special to make a service call, which to me is extremely reasonable this day and age, but Mr Hopkins waived the charge. He and his colleague had spent at least twenty minutes with me and I couldn't believe he didn't even charge me for the call. Not only were they prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable but HONEST! It is so great to see companies that operate with ethics and I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They will be my first call for plumbing, without a doubt. Well done guys!

I was in a bind and needed someone quick. Cold Is On The Right came to my aid. They were very professional and called me back to tell they had someone on the way. Others wouldn't even hear my problem, they all immediately told me they couldn't get to me. The fix only took 15 minutes.Gary was awesome!!

They were fantastic! I called for an estimate about two weeks ago and they had someone at my house within an hour or so even though it was just for an estimate. I also called them that weekend for frozen pipes and again they came out within an hour or two. Today they came on time and even had a staff member at the office call to let me know when they were on their way. They arrived, immediately started on the job and were done within an hour or so. The lead plumber also gave me referrals for some specialized work (resurfacing a tub and replacing a water softener with new technology) that I have been considering. The plumbers were polite and professional and clearly know what they are doing.

A leak developed in an area of the house where it's crowded plumbing-wise, so despite our best efforts to find the source, we just weren't sure where the water was coming from. We decided to use Angie's list to find a pro. Gary and Kevin showed up early AND on the same day we called (ok, that's pretty amazing) and we showed them the issue and walked them through what we looked at so far. They did a thorough job going through the possibilities, and answered the many, many questions we had. They tested some things and narrowed it down, and gave us quotes for our main issue as well as others they had noticed along the way. (Things we knew about, but nothing urgent. The great thing is was that there was no pressure or heavy sales tactics - just a hey, you should know this is what this is going to run you when it comes time. We really appreciate that as we can use that to budget.) We gave them the go-ahead and they got the parts and finished the work quickly, and again, seemed really thorough! Almost as importantly, though, is that they were really friendly cheerful guys. They seem to enjoy what they do which is really great to see. Overall it was as good a plumbing experience as we could have imagined - no surly dudes, plumbers cracks or weird surcharges - just a couple of friendly experts with up-front pricing. Really appreciate it!

I liked the work that he did. The technician was very friendly. I asked him about toilet repair, and I felt like he was trying to sell me an expensive service.

It turned out we didn't have a leak after all, but because they had to charge me for a diagnostics visit, they asked if there were any other plumbing issues around the house they could take care of for me while they were out. They took care of a slow-draining tub in one bathroom, checked out a shower drain in another bathroom, and adjusted my kitchen faucet. Very friendly.

The company was good on the phone and good on the job. They came the same day when they said they would, charged what they said they would, and did the work methodically and thoroughly.

The plumbers were always on time and communicative about everything they were doing. They did a great job on all of the projects (Aug. 2012). Brindin, (master plumber I think) would go home in the evenings and check on things for us and come with info or something we wanted the next day. After the job was complete, they called to make sure everything was good. This month, July 2013, my husband thought we had a leak under the house and because we had a 1-year warranty on the above work, we called. They came out within a few hours, crawled under the house and took pictures. They also hooked up a pressure guage to see if there was any leaking. Ends up, we were incorrect and there were no leaks at all--there was no charge and they were very pleasant about it. They are a great group, very responsible and fair. We highly recommend them.

They hauled everything away. The price included all the heaters and the sinks and all the hardware. The owner was very responsive. He explained things. He was pretty straightforward.

Cold is on the Right did a pretty good job. They got the think fixed and everything. They are not very good at punctuality. They promise a time when they are going to be there, but never make it. They are always way late. They were recommended by another plumber I use. I called him first, but was to busy to come and help me. They recommended some other things that I didn't have them do. I agreed with them on one other fix dealing with my water heater. They started the fix and were supposed to come back, but they never did.

Amazing!! These guys go above and beyond. I expected it to be a bit of a "project"... with electrical, floor tile, ect. being an issue. Brendin, the owner, said "just pick what you want and we will make it work". And that they did! His team went with me to Lowes, advised on what best options were, picked everything up and had it installed in a few hours. Everything looks so great! There was a small tile that was broken (which I expected since existing vanity was different size) and I didn't mention. However, when Brendin inspected, he noticed and said he'd have his tile guy come and fix at no charge to me. For anyone contemplating a bathroom renovation- call Cold is on the Right! For under $600 in labor, I have a beautiful new bathroom. You can't go wrong with these guys.

They were fast, professional and friendly. I called them at 8:30 in the morning, they were at the house by the time they said they would be, they gave a very professional estimate, we agreed to terms and they came back within two hours and fixed both problems. It could not have been a better transaction.

Brendin and his team arrived the morning of the scheduled day and attacked this huge job. They installed the pipe network and made ready all the connections to existing fixtures so that we had only a few hours without operating water. They found ways to run the piping so that all wall cuts were in hidden places, which meant that we weren't faced with a major interior paint job after they finished. To be honest, these guys aren't cheap, and if your plumbing job is simple you may be able to get it done for less. However, for a complicated job like ours, the relatively expensive talent is well worth the extra cost.

On Tuesday the 4th of Feb I (as a board member of a small condo association) had hired Cold is on the Right to fix a couple of outside faucets and to do some personal work in my condo. To make a long story short, the plumbing team was there when the main water pipe burst. Brendon, one of the gentlemen from Cold is on the Right, was on the phone in ten minutes. They had the water off, had permits pulled, inspectors out and a back hoe out within hours. Within 24 hrs the water to the condos was restored. But that is not the whole story. This is a condo association with 30 homes, some with older residents and some with young children. This team of plumbers not only fixed the problem quickly and professional. They were helping the older people turn off their hot water heaters and answering all the questions from the residents. I honestly do not know what we would have done if this group of professionals had not been available to us. Everyone on this team from Brendon, Jim, and the rest were professional, knowledgable, and unbelievably kind.

It was a pleasure to work with Brenden and his crew. On time , On budget and great quality of work! Highly recommend

Brandin did the work so well. He was honest and worked with me to stay on budget. He really took good care of me. The work was quite an undertaking and he did a great job completing all of our projects. I would really recommend him to anyone. It's been such a good experience!
