The emargency number was answered right away late on Sunday and the representative (Larry) talked me through getting my water main turned off to avoid a flooding issue. The service rep (Richard) showed up an hour before anyone was supposed to be available and had to cut a wall in the garage, replace some copper tubing, put on a new hose bib, check out the function and clean it all up. He did it all in an hour. These folks are responsive, helpful and reasonably priced.

The initial estimate included work that the plumber felt was necessary to meet the city code. We believed that part of this work did not apply to our situation. The company spoke to the City and learned that this part of the city code was not applicable to us. The question turned on whether our hot water heater was in the residence or outside it; the answer was not obvious in our case. Then the plumbers preceded to replace the hot water heater efficiently and well.

John was very professional and KNEW what he was doing. Worked very quickely and cleaned up mess after himself. Tolet was more of an undertaking than I thought it would be. Had to clean up the damage that the flooring contractor made. They damaged the toilet ring and damaged the sewage pipe and did not let us know. I will rewrite the review on flooring company later. Price included brass ring, wax seal, bolts and stainless water flex line.

I called Steve's on Tuesday afternoon and they immediately scheduled someone to be at my house on Wed around noon. In fact, John called me around 10:30 and wanted to come by a bit early. He arrived about 11:30 and immediately went to work to diagnose the problem (my sprinkler system was not operating since the heads wouldn't lift completely up.) He concluded the problem was the main pressure regulator, made a call and came back to me with a quote for $495, parts and labor. He had the parts needed on his truck and went to work immediately. In replacing the regulator he also found that the main cutoff valve was faulty and asked if I wanted to replace it as well (this was the difference between his original estimate and my final bill.) His work was done expertly, taking about an hour and a half. I had the chance to spend that time with him and want to pass along how impressed I am with his courtesy, knowledge and attention to detail. I will definitely recommend Steve's (and John) to my friends and neighbors and will use them again in the future.

Getting ready for work, the flush handle on my toilet broke off. It was plastic and clearly couldn't be fixed. I looked online to try to find the parts myself but could only find the inside parts OR the handle (unattached), not the whole assembly. It was a Friday (!) so when I got to work I checked Angie's List and called Steve's Plumbing. The lady who took my call was great and said they would fit me in so I wouldn't have to wait (and pay extra) on the weekend. We arranged for a 3-5 pm slot, then the plumber himself called back and said he could fit me in early. They came very promptly (two men) and had the parts on their truck! They took out the old parts and re-installed a new mechanism (with metal handle), very quickly and I was done, back at work within an hour. SECOND VISIT A YEAR LATER: As I said above, Josh came out while I was at work; I left the key under the mat. Everything was in perfect order when I came home. He called me to let me know all was well and was very nice, cleared both drains. Haven't gotten the invoice yet but last time it was very reasonable since they had to replace parts.

The phone representative was very helpful in suggesting the likely problem and times for repair visit. She gave me the choice between making a set appointment on the following day or making myself available on the same day if and when a service person became available between appointments. I opted for same-day and they called and arrived in less than 2 hours. John and Jamin had the part they needed and fixed the water heater very quickly. They also answered my questions about tankless water heaters as compared to a hot water pump to alleviate the long wait for hot water on the side of the house farthest from the water heater.

Found this vendor by searching Angie's List. The office star were professional and courteous. The problem was with John, the plumber they sent out to do the work. John was rude to me and my housekeeper. He had a terrible attitude and I couldn't wait to get him out of my home. One of the faucets he replaced now has low water flow but I would never call this company to fix it.

He was very professional and on time. He was able to use a scope to find the cause of the problem and fixed it quickly.

After our conversation, he advised me to have the pot filler faucet in hand or it would take two trips and more money. Very good advice and we put off the appointment until I had everything available for the tech to complete the job. He spent a good deal of unpaid time with me on the phone and gave me some helpful hints that were great.

Very responsive office staff and invoiced / communicated via e-mial which is important to me as an offsite / out of town landlord. Will definitley use again.

Irrigation company began installing sprinklers in front yard on Saturday and water pressure in house promptly dropped to almost zero. Irrigation guy said not his fault. Called Steve's Plumbing and they were out first thing Monday morning, removed pressure reducer valve at the city tap and discovered it was full of PVC glue. It was clearly the Irrigation company's fault. Got same-day permit, replaced valve, then cleared sediment from running toilets and showed me how to do it in the future to save a service call. Very friendly, professional, explained the problems thoroughly. I've owned six houses in Austin and used several plumbers. Steve's is not on my short-list of go-to guys.

The plumber did perform the work okay; however, our complaint is that after resetting the commode, he used clear chalk around the commode but did not bother to clean up the old dirty chalk that came out from under the commode. He just chalked over it. We had to fix the mess. Also, he tracked mud into the house.

very good, friendly service, got right to work, used quality parts, fix should last the life of the house. we had a pipe that was repaired incorrectly, within 2 weeks of the repair, the pipe was sticking out of the ground. they used some type of flexible hose instead of doing it right and using joints' repair was very close to a tree, and we live in cedar park so lots of rocks. Steve's plumbing spent most of their time digging to get to the original pipes, working through roots and rocks. I was surprised at how many rocks, seems like more rocks than would fir in the hole he dug, once he got to the repair, he was like a surgeon, went to business, cut all pipes to fit, used industrial level parts, made a perfect fit. I have no doubt the repair will outlast the house,

Was there when they said he'd be and was polite and got right to work. Knew what he was doing. He was competent, hard working and professional.

I called up Steve's about a sub-foundation broken drain line issue which was causing backups in my house. They had to break a hole in my slab in the garage to fix the first break in the PVC pipes. After the pipe was repaired they did a pinpoint static test on the whole house and found 2 more leaks. I was a bit overwhelmed but Steve helped set me at ease and even guided me in dealing with insurance coverage for the excavation work, which fortunately was available since the line backups caused some water damage in the house. The work crew had to tunnel 12 more feet underneath the slab from the initial slab excavation hole to fix the 2 additional leaks. I take pride in fixing a lot of issues on my own but this one was way outside of my comfort zone. I inspected everything that they did, including going into the tunnel myself, and it is completely top notch work. The effort they put into this job was amazing. The crew members are total professionals and they could not have done a better job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve's to anyone for any plumbing repair job, period. Two thumbs way up!!!

They disconnected my kitchen sink faucet and garbage disposal,also removing clamps to hold sink in place- in preparation to have new countertops, sink and faucet. They came back after new countertops, to install new faucet and reconnect disposal and sink drain. Also removed old bathroom sink faucet and replaced with new one. Guys were professional and likeable, timely. I chose an hourly rate over "price by the job", and Steve's service came thru better. I will have them upgrade other faucets in a few weeks.

He did a lot! It went great. He's the best plumber I have ever used. This was the second time I used him. I thought their pricing was very fair.

I was not at home to receive them, however; my sister was. She informed me that they were on time, very friendly and very informative.

Could not extract the broken screw and half way through effort we decided to just replace faucet. Technician was efficient and knowledgeable without having to look at instructions. However, he hooked the hot and cold up in reverse and the faucet spout was not tight to the granite. He fixed both items having to remove a part Moen had provided. Very nice individual but he should have tested the faucet after initial installing and we were lucky to catch him as he was driving away. Net, very good but not great experience.

The plumbers were initially called to address an issue with low water pressure. Unfortunately, the treatment led to a break in the water pipe (which had apparently long been the site of a slow leak--the pipe was encrusted in thick roots, which had to be hacked away). Since the original pipe was galvanized steel, it was too weakened to be repaired, so the entire line had to be replaced, which necessitated digging up our lawn and following the pipe to its source. The job was more difficult and complicated than envisioned. Work had to be interrupted while we waited for the gas company to mark the line. Through all this, John and his crew worked long and hard to complete the job and get our water restored. The crew that worked on restoring our yard also did an excellent job (if we hadn't taken photos of our yard while it was torn up, with its mounds of dirt surrounded by orange plastic barriers, it would be hard to believe that it was such a disaster zone--the lawn now looks pretty much as it did before). Thank you all!

Really well - however I've used Steve's Plumbing for years with my own homes and my rentals. The plumber came fully prepared, on time and did a fine job installing and cleaning up. I couldn't ask for more.

The job was done fine, but the $125. bill was too much. After my review on this service, the owner called me, and made amendments to my satisfaction. Accordingly, I am changing my review, and will use again.

I've used Steve's for my commercial and residential needs. The best part is they bill you later and the technician actually gives you a discount if you have their magnet on your refrigerator. Their responsive to my commercial needs beats anyone else that I've used.
