BRENTS TREE SERVICE

I called Brent's on Thursday and scheduled an appointment the following Tuesday for an estimate. We scheduled the work for Thursday, but they were able to come on Wednesday, a day early. The crew was very efficient; the work took 8 hours to complete. They worked very carefully around my established landscaping. (I did lose one shrub.) They cleaned up all the branches and sawdust and left my patio much cleaner than they found it! I will definitely use them again!

The provider re-scheduled once, but this was a minor inconvenience. All communication was professional and courteous. The provider completed the work very quickly (impressive!) and did a good job. I would use them again.

There were more additional costs and they let me know up front before completing the work. They hauled away the debris after completing the job. Everything worked out okay.

Working with them was great. I called them. They came out right away.

They cleaned up, removed branches that were around. They were prompt.

On time, professional, excellent work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I was happy with them. I have found someone else that was a little less expensive and did just as good of work. I did pay additional but I had them do additional work. They showed up when they were supposed to. There was something that I wasn't so happy with and they came right back out and fixed it. Overall I was happy with the quality of the service that I got. I really don't have any complaints. I would consider using them again.

One goal was to open space for a better view from my house, and Jason worked with me to accomplish that goal. The crew was great, cleaned up after themselves, and did exactly what I asked and a bit more. Good experience with the company.

They did very good. Their price is reasonable and they did a thorough and professional job.

I called Brents Tree Service on Jan. 30, 2014 after seeing their crews at work at 2 neighboring homes. An appointment for an estimate was scheduled for 9 a.m. the next day. Darryl, the Sales Manager, called at about 8:50 a.m. and said he was running late but agreed to arrive at 10 a.m. I appreciated the call, and Darryl arrived at about 9:45 a.m. He looked at my trees, described how his crew would work, gave me a certificate of insurance, and we agreed on the work and the price, contained in a written estimate. The work was scheduled for the morning of Feb. 3, 2014. The crew of 4 arrived at 10:15 a.m. in Feb. 3 and worked until 2:15 p.m. The trees were thinned, trimmed, and cleared away from the house as agreed. The trimmings were shredded and the ground was cleaned up. All the cuts were sealed. I was asked to inspect the work on completion, found it very satisfactory, and paid by check (credit cards are accepted). Darryl (not on the site during the work) called around 5:30 p.m. to ask if I was pleased with the work, and I said I was very satisfied and would recommend them to others. I give Brents Tree Service an A rating.

The crew arrived as scheduled and quietly went about the property trimming the overgrown Oleanders. They also pruned & lifted the canopy of a pair of oak trees and sealed the exposed cuts. Passersby can read the corner street sign now that the tree limbs no longer obstruct the signage. Everything was raked and hauled away.

They were on time and very professional..... We were very pleased with their service and will use them again. I highly recommend them

The crew worked very hard for two days straight. They still left a number of areas that need to be trimmed back. In addition the trees at the back of my property were not really serviced. They are supposed to return this week to make cuts to several areas. Darryl. the salesperson, agreed these needed to be done. When we looked at one tree at the back of property he recommended its removal. I asked him why he had not recommended that up front and he said he really had not looked closely at it. He actually said it is a hazard but that was more an attempt to sell and justify the upcharge not real concern. He quoted me an additional $1100 to remove it and I thought that was extremely high given my understanding we had contracted to service all my property. He then said you can't expect me to do it for free. I pointed out I was going to pay $5000 and walked away. His attitude after that point was very huffy. He was visibly angry and I tried to calm the situation down to no avail. I had to laugh at some of the other reviews I now have read. One says if he wasn't driving a Prius he would have smoked his tires dramatically driving away from the property. I saw exactly the same thing when Darryl left. I will pay $5000 when this job is completed this week. I appreciate the value of an arborist (by the way a certified arborist works there but that person did not come to the property). But I don't need someone to get angry with me on my property and make me feel like I've wronged them because my understanding was that all my trees would be trimmed and made healthy. Spoke with Terry again today. He is their billing and collections person. The same intro. 'How did we do for you?' I told him in detail and he said he would pass it on to Mr. Brent. I did pay the bill in full but made it clear I would not be using their services again. 9-9-13 Had a certified arborist come look at the tree in question. He stated that the tree does not even have to come out. That it is old but not any jeopardy to the property or tree itself. Further he estimated that I was charged about a third too much compared to the crew he would have supervised. And the estimate clearly stated that all trees on the property were to be trimmed and my out of fence trees are noted as part of my property. Regardless of removal (which turns out to be unnecessary) all trees should have been cut and trimmed. Darryl's temper is another issue and clearly is a long term employee despite his behavior.

Great. Very careful with trees around the house. Prompt. Quickly and safely done. Good cleanup and followed up to make sure I was satisfied.

The service was pretty good. It was not the best tree trimming job I ever had, but it has been awhile. I cannot remember many details. They were easy to work with, and I do not remember having any frustration, but I just remember that I did not feel like they were entirely thorough. I think their price was good.

They were several hours late, but did a great job.

Scheduling was easy and the provider was prompt. The work was done well. The total charged for the tree trimming was $325, with an additional $15 for hauling/dumping and $30 for tax. The provider deducted $225 for the Angie's List "Big Deal", leaving an additional $195 which I paid by check. It's impossible for me to estimate if I got a reduced price for the work or not, since the deal said Brent's would charge $75 for $225 worth of work. Excluding tax, they charged $390 (not including the discount), which does seem overpriced for what they did.

Their price was reasonable compared to other providers.

Only criticism is the broken branch was cut with the flat surface facing directly up (rainwater could pool in cut & potentially cause issues. Thought price was a little high for the work done.

They are good, prompt, and do a great job. They always do a very thorough job cleaning up when they're finished, too.

The company was very responsive and did a great job. The back yard looks great and they saved my roof because they were very prompt and got the job done before a couple of storms with high wind. They also sealed areas where big branches were removed. I would recommend them.

They were on time, did the job very well and even my neighbors were impressed with the work.
