Great!!!! They came out the very next day after I called them to provide an estimate, and then scheduled the tree climbing for later that week. Their work was exactly as they stated it would be. I did not need to be there for the actual cutting, and when I came home from work, they had cleaned up everything and hauled away all the excess branches. My trees are thriving and were treated so they didn't get diseased where branches were cut, and my home and driveway are no longer blocked by heavy tree branches.

Fine, but they did not paint all the wounds until the next day or Red and Live oaks.

They did a fantastic job. I'm very happy with the results.

Great. Asked that they call me 15 minutes before they arrived so I could bring the dogs in and they did so. Arrived on time, were efficient and very fast. Crew chief was friendly and professional. Went over the job with me and completed everything that I asked. Cleaned up very well afterwards. Will use them again for any tree work I have.

Brent's men showed up on schedule and completed the job in a couple of hours. They sprayed all the branches with pruning paint and also removed all the limbs and leaves they had cut. The trees look wonderful and make the house look much better.

In trying to make an appointment, the phone rep whined about having to come to South Austin to do work. Then, I got another call (from the owner, I guess) also complaining about having to come to South Austin. Then, he said the minimum would be 4 workers for one day, costing from $3,000 to $4,000. I declined. I think they should advertise that their service area is North Austin, Round Rock, and Georgetown.

Work took nearly 3 hours, including clean up. My yard looks great now. No longer have branches scraping my roof or my neighbor's house. Tree branches won't be falling on my pool equipment!

They gave me an immediate response to my call and a written bid on the spot complete with a copy of their insurance. They did the job the next business day. I was pleasantly shocked at the number of limbs they cut and how quickly they completed and cleaned up the job site. The crew were in and out in no time and were very pleasant to work with as was the Sales Manager and Quality control, who followed up with phone calls the very next day to make sure we were happy with the job and that there was nothing more to be done. I would not hesitate to provide references. It was the quickest and easiest "big job" I think I have ever had since I became a homeowner 30 years ago. We have a lot of trees, especially out in front. They cleaned up everything and they were here on time and they did a good job. They raised the canopy and looked at all of the trees in the yard and did some minor repair on some of the little trees that haven't been planted that long. We've actually had them out here twice and I also recommended that they go to our neighbors.

It's just afterwards it just seem that they cut a little bit too much from what we wanted, it's probably more understanding of what we expected, it wasn't they do damage or anything like that. They worker were very, they listened to what I asked for, they did what I ask for, they were clean, they clean everything up well, in generally all was very good quality. They were very responsive, they came quickly and ask questions and get answers I needed all that.

The tree was in dire shape: one 1ft diameter limb was down in our neighbor’s yard and pinning down cables, 1 large limb was in another neighbor’s yard, 2 other major limbs had previously been removed, and the tree was covered in white fungus. This was right after NYE, so I only received a call back from this company and one other. The other company provided me with a quote of $2700 for removal and grinding and could come out Friday. That company’s salesman was nice to deal with; when I mentioned I wanted to get another quote he said, "of course, that is how this usually goes." Brent’s salesman, Darryl, offered $3800 for the same service but could get to the tree a day earlier (before a big storm was due to hit). When I mentioned I wanted to get another quote to compare, he immediately switched gears and acted offended. He made several comments to the likes of, "how I shouldn’t use other companies in Austin without insurance" and, "who do you want working over your house." He also mentioned that this tree could not be any more dangerous and needed to come down immediately, as it could crash into my house at any time. I asked for a price reduction, and he did give me ~8% off the total so we could settle on $3500. At this point I should have backed away, as based on the two conversations I had, the other guy was nice, more professional, cheaper, and also insured. But as the tree looked terrible, and based on Darryl’s insistence at the danger posed by the tree, I made the decision to go with Brent’s as they said they could have the tree down, "maybe Wednesday but for sure Thursday." I wanted the tree gone before the next storm, arriving Friday morning, caused the tree to destroy my house. Come Wednesday (1/4), Brent’s crew came out for around 2 hours at the end of the day and removed the downed limbs from the neighbors’ yards. This surprised me, as I felt that the risk those limbs provided was much less than the 40ft of tree that hung over my house. The salesman, Darryl, had mentioned that the downed limbs might be offering some counterweight to the portion over our house…and now that was gone. To give credit where due, the workers did a great job, my wife said they were nice to deal with, and even my neighbors commented on their work. On Thursday (1/5) around noon, I called my wife to see how progress was going, and she said the crew had not yet arrived. I called the office and found out they were on another job. They ended up getting to my house with about 30 minutes of daylight left and had enough time to remove a few medium-sized pieces of the tree. So I went into the coming storm with the vast majority of the tree still over my house - the avoidance of which was the entire reason I went with Brent’s in the first place, spending the extra money and having to deal with their salesman. Friday arrived, the storm did not destroy my house, and the crew arrived sometime in the morning. They worked almost all day on the tree and did a great job. They even saved some firewood and piled it up for me. Later the next week they ground up the stump. So after getting a phone call that my bill was due (note: I still have not received an invoice), I mentioned to the kind office employee that I felt that since the work was not done on time, and that was my major stipulation for using this company, I felt I was due a discount on the work. He gave the salesman my info. I talked to Darryl the next Monday (1/16), experiencing one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Almost immediately, Darryl interrupted me when I was calmly trying to explain my point of view. I was told that Brent’s had gone far above and beyond on this job and were not making any money since they already took ~8% off. I was told again how they can’t benchmark the other company I quoted because they are probably not insured (as I mentioned earlier, they are). I was told there were no guarantees on timing and that the crew did everything they could to get to my property on time (the possible delays were not communicated at the onset of the process). All these things would be almost decent arguments if the salesman had said them in a calm manner after listening to my opinion. The fact was I was continually and rudely interrupted, and there was no attempt to see my point of view or act in a professional manner. Darryl couldn’t understand why I thought the job would be done on Thursday (or at least my house would be safe by then) because that is what I was told. I was never told that I could get bumped without notification. I called Brent’s office after this phone call (it was after 5 p.m. by this point), and was told I could speak to the company’s owner, Will, the next day about my experience. I called the next morning and was told Will was not in, but that they would give him my phone number so he could reach out. At this time I also paid my balance, as I wanted to cut ties as quickly as possible with this company. I have yet to receive a call from anyone. This company has a lot of great reviews - largely in my opinion due to the solid work of the team and the friendly office staff. I would probably give this company a C-Grade on averaging the pros and cons; however, I would never be able to recommend this company to anyone due to the complete lack of professionalism and attitude of their salesman. With the higher price tag I expect overall satisfaction - but instead feel I was misled and treated very disrespectfully.

Perfect! Love these guys. They did an incredible amount of work and they do a very quality job with the trees. Both front and back yards look spectacular.

Very well. Had many trees in front and back that needed professional trimming, ball moss removal, etc. They worked for 2 1/2 days. Great clean-up too. Will hire again when needed.

I've used Brent's numerous times for more than one property (pruning/hauling/tree removal), and they continue to provide reliable service. Daryl is who usually comes out to look at the job beforehand and provide an estimate. He's knowledgeable and fair. The last time he was able to squeeze us in despite the busy season which we very much appreciated since we had a felled branch too large to move on our own. We've also dealt with Jerry, who is awesome. All in all great company. We've used them enough times now where we don't bother to get a 2nd estimate, as they have always treated us well.

John MaCuk came to my house to do the initial estimate, and he did a great job! He was very patient and answered all of my questions. I talked with two other companies before deciding to go with Brent's. What sold me on Brent's was their great customer service and the price! I was very impressed with how professional everyone was and how quickly they were able to get a crew to my house to do the work. I would use them again in the future!

Brent's did a really good job with my trees. They removed a dead ash tree from my back yard and ground the stump, removed a dead shrub, and trimmed the small live oak in my front yard. My trimmed tree looks much nicer, and they left my yard clean after hauling away the dead wood. Their price was much better than competitors (half of what another company quoted me for the same work). There were a few minor communication issues, but all in all I was pleased with the service I received from Brent's.

A crew of four men, Cody, Ramone, Luis, and Jose, spent two full days working on my property. The brought a large truck and wood chipper with them both days. Cody checked with me throughout the process to make sure they were doing things the way I wanted them to and that they were proceeding according to my priority of importance. They actually did more than I expected them to do. I had been a little wary of just signing up for two full days without specifics of all that could be accomplished but was very pleasantly surprised to get more done than I had imagined. I had some pretty large trees to work on and they came with the equipment necessary to climb all the way through them and cut out dead wood and take care of cuts appropriately. At least one guy was up in the trees most of the time. Several of the trees that were dead and needed to be removed were quite large. They got those out very efficiently, leaving a smooth cut to the ground. They did a great job clearing away from roof, which had large limbs hanging over and almost touching it. They not only cleaned up all their own mess, raking through all the areas they worked in, they gathered up what was in my burn-pile from my own pruning and trimming along with other piles of broken limbs I had around the property. Near the end of the second day, when I pretty much considered I had gotten my money's worth, Cody told me I had about another hour left if I wanted them to clean up another area with trees and a lot of brush at the edge of my yard and they did that too. All four men stayed with the project both days and kept that wood chipper busy. Other than a break for lunch and a hydration break here and there, which I would expect, these guys were busy, busy, busy. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

The price and quality of work were excellent. They did not show up on the day promised, but arrived the following day and knocked out the job within a few hours. I would recommend Brent's Tree Service to anyone.

Was punctual for the appointment to provide an estimate. Made several recommendations that were gladly accepted. Estimate seemed high, but the crew was available the next day, so I accepted the 10% discount and confirmed the appointment. Crew of four showed up the next day at the agreed time with a large truck and commercial mulcher. It was amazing to watch the crew use ropes and climbing gear to hoist themselves into the trees, remove the limbs to provide clearance over the two dwellings and to cut and lower the trees that needed to be removed. The elm and live oak that they groomed the dead wood, removed all the mistletoe, and shaped look fantastic. Three of the crew were in the trees and one guy picking up limbs and mulching them into the back of the truck. The crew asked if I wanted to keep anything for firewood, and neatly stacked the agreed sizes into my racks. Overall, it took the four man crew 8 hours to finish the job. They all did a fantastic job of sweeping up the debris, and made the place look better than when they started by even sweeping up the leaves that had fallen last Fall. The crew checked with me several times during the day to ensure that they met my satisfaction and accomplished every item on the estimate.
