Aztec Organic Pest Service

We've had Aztec come out as needed, 4 times now in a 7 or 8 year period. We called them out again after seeing a couple of roaches in the last few days. The last time they treated our home was actually 1 year and 9 months ago... Only one time did we have to call them back within the warranty period and they were out the next day no charge. Mr Gatlin arrived at the beginning of the 2 hour time frame given asked what we had seen, evaluated the problem and provided us with an efficient and thorough treatment inside and out. I'm going to set up a reminder and have them back next year.

We have been long-term Aztec Pest members. We’re really happy with them. The once-a-year-treatment really does last. They say they’ll come out in-between times if we need them but we really do go year-to-year without seeing bugs in the house. I like that it’s kid-safe with no chemicals.

I do not remember the amount I paid. They are Eco-friendly pest control. Their price is really very reasonable.

We've used Aztec several times. We like the fact that no contract is required. I initially thought the price was high but you get what you pay for and we've been very pleased. After the technician is here there is no smell and any roach we see is dead. After a few weeks we don't see any roaches at all. We also called Aztec about a problem in the backyard. We would have been happy to pay them to come out and treat the problem, but over the phone we were adviced of an organic product we could buy ourselves and save a lot of money. We were very impressed that the company would do that instead of trying to get more money out of us. We're very happy and will continue to call Aztec when we need to.

The service is always professional, courteous and timely. They arrive in the time specified and get right to work. We have used Aztec for the last 6 years and have no reason to go anywhere else! You should too!

They did such a good job and said that it should last about 3-4 years. They used the non-toxic ingredients. They come out fairly quickly, as well.

They are all organic and they do everything outside. We have been using them for a while. They seem to be less expensive than the big boys. We had rats in our attic and they killed the rats and sealed it off. We haven't had any problems since, and that was a couple of years ago. They come as needed and you don't have to have a monthly service. They are very personable and effective. We are pleased with their services. The overall experience was excellent.

They were so good and great. I had a real problem with German cockroaches and they dusted with an extract from chrysanthemums. They had to come back once, completely eliminated our German cockroach problem, without spraying 8 poisons, and the chrysanthemums spray was not poisonous to my dogs. When they initially came, you could see the results, they told me they may have to come back, they did, and they were gone. It was complete, effective, they were reasonably priced, and did not have to use a colorful, poison mixture. They sprayed my baths and kitchen. The German cockroaches were really bad, I am enthusiastic about them, and their price is reasonable. I give them high ratings and would absolutely use them in the future if needed.

They do a good job. They are professional.

They are a green provider. They were very good about telling me what they would use. They gave me the options of doing it myself with detailed instructions or paying them to do. They did a thorough job and we were very happy with them. They were very upfront and reasonable in prices. They were done very quickly.

They don't require a contract. They know what they are talking about and what they are doing so they treat my home once a year. Their view is that if it is done properly, you should only need one treatment every year. Their price is fair. I will absolutely continue to use them.

They're knowledgable about the organic spray. They did a great job.

I used Aztec about 18 months ago and didn't need them again until recently. The timing was perfect because we received a happy 2012 card in the mail with a discount for services for the month of Jan. I called Tuesday afternoon and the polite lady offered to send someone the next day. However, I chose a different day just because of my odd schedule. The service man was polite, efficient and came right promptly at 10A even though they did give me a 2 hour window. He (I wish I remembered his name) discovered that the ants were in the attic and went up there to place bait at the source. He answered all my question (even the ones I'm sure he gets all the time) completely and in a friendly way. We even discussed flea control options that I could use later in the year. My pets and I really appreciate the organic pest control for our health, but I'm also impressed at how long it lasts. It's even better that I don't have to sign any contracts for routine maintenance.

I bought a ranch and I was shocked (to put it mildly) to find scorpions in my house. OK, I admit it, freaked is probably a better word. Critters are part of life on a rural property, and even the snakes don't bother me, but scorpions!! I had no idea that Central Texas has scorpions! I found them in the bathtub, in the bedrooms, in the garage, in the kitchen sink, on the fireplace - everywhere. I fought them for 6 months using diatomaceous earth powder, but the last straw was when I killed 4 in one night. I called Aztec and was pleased to learn that they will come out on Saturdays. Since my place is in Elgin, I had to pay a trip charge, but in this day of almost $4/gallon for gas, plus the travel time, I understand that. I talked to Aztec to find out about the chemicals they use, and they explained that they use a combination of boric acid and pyrethins. I did research on both of these and found that when properly applied (has to be dusted, not sprinkled), there is probably nothing better for control of insects and arachnids (scorpions and spiders). I also was concerned about my cats, as well as the effect of pesticides on the frogs, toads, and other creatures outside - I did not want my entire yard sprayed, for example. The technician came out and was very polite and punctual. He treated the attic by blowing the powder throughout, he treated behind the walls (I had removed all the light switch and outlet covers beforehand), along the baseboards, under the slab (long story, but I have an unrepaired hole in my slab from some remodeling/plumbing work that is on hold temporarily); and he treated around the perimeter of the house. He also checked for termites, and he advised me how to seal gaps (exclusion work) on the outside of the house to help keep out scorpions. He was very patient and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. I think he was here about 2 hours. After he left, literally within 30 minutes, I started finding dead or dying scorpions in the house. I picked up 12 over the next three days. It has now been 2 weeks since the treatment, and I have not seen as much as an ant in the house, let alone a scorpion. For the first time in the 6 months since I've owned this house, I finally feel like I am not in danger of stepping on some creepy-crawly critter. Yes, it was fairly expensive, but the peace of mind that I now have and the improved satisfaction with my house are so worth it. Thank you Aztec!

I like them. I think they do a good job. We haven’t had to use them in years because they do such a nice job.

Not very professional or helpful when calling. Would not come out without charging $50 and was the only company that handled it this way. Would not call again.

This company is AWESOME. I just bought a house and my inspector informed me there was evidence of rodent activity in the attic (ewwwwwww). Had Aztec come out today and Art couldn't have POSSIBLY been more helpful. He said he didn't see much evidence of active rodents, but he could still treat if I wanted him too. After I stood there having a wishy washy moment about what I wanted to do (small budget vs. fear of rodents), he offered to put a bit of bait up in the attic for me so I could keep an eye on whether or not it was being eaten, and thus figure out if I needed to employ their rodent services. I had also called about a possible termite problem in my carport closets and treating for tree roaches, but he said he wouldn't recommend doing all that until I got the property cleaned up and got flooring/appliances in the house. He didn't charge me for the trip or the kindness - these guys definitely know how to secure a loyal customer! I really don't think I've ever been more impressed by a service company. Ever. I will have them back out in a few weeks and will continue to use them for any pest needs.

I was completely turned off by the guy who answered the phone. He was very short with me, and the prices he quoted were off the charts. It was ridiculous. I had the sense that he couldn't be bothered with me.

It was a local company. They used environmentally safe products. The job turned out good. They had to come out and give another shot. They were very persistent. They did that. They were good on follow up. They used products that were non toxic to dogs and children. I liked that and that was very important me. They were quick in responding. They came in quickly. Their prices were comparable with other places. Overall they were good. They were very professional. I would use them in the future.

They are honest and trustworthy. The only thing I wish is that their person has their name on either a shirt or hat. It doesn't have to be real formal. They couldn't tell me what the guy would be wearing or anything like that. There wasn't a name on a truck or a name on the guy. I will use them again in the future.

They were great. The guy said that usually you only need to do it once a year, which I thought was crazy in Texas, but it turned out to be true. We haven't really seen any other bugs or stuff. They were great. They were super prompt. My schedule is really messed up and they even came on a Sunday morning because that was what was best. I was really surprised and delighted that a company would be willing to do that on a weekend. I will use them again.

I liked them. I was interested in using something that wasn’t toxic to my pets and would have minimal environmental impact yet would be effective. They were professional and effective, and he did a good job of explaining what he was going to do. I haven’t had any problems since they did the treatment.

The website was informative and we only waited a couple of days for an appointment. The technician was punctual, polite, efficient and even took his shoes off at the door (which I sincerely appreciate). The only thing I would suggest to make the service better is that technicians should wear a company shirt. As a woman alone with two small children, I would feel a little more comfortable allowing a stranger into my home if he had on the company logo or badge. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience and if we stay bug-free for awhile, I will use them again.

I trust Aztec to give me a honest estimate and not try to provide services that are not needed.
