Austin Tree Experts

We just moved into our home and noticed that our neighbor's tree was damaging our roof. We called Austin Tree Experts for an estimate to prune this tree and a few others, based on the previous home owner's recommendation. Micah was there within a week and not only provided a reasonable estimate but also answered our questions with expert advice on pruning our trees, their growth patterns, and trees to consider planting in the future. Unfortunately, they're very busy in the summer, so we needed to wait 3 weeks to have the work done, but it was well worth the wait. Although we weren't at home when they performed the work, we noticed that obvious care was given to pruning the trees, and the trees looked even better than expected. The yard was immaculate - all debris was completely cleared out. The final bill was exactly as quoted, and their online system for the estimate, bill, and payment was very user friendly. We received a follow-up call, as well, to check on our satisfaction. We wouldn't hesitate to hire Austin Tree Experts again!

Excellent. They sent out a professional arborist to diagnose the problem and provide a quote. They gave me a verbal quote and followed up with an email link to their website with the quote. I accepted the quote on-line and made an appointment for them to complete the work. They came, performed the work, cleaned up and left in a timely manner. Other than the tree being gone, you could not tell they had been there. They sent an invoice by email, and I paid it through their website online.

I was able to do everything online. I asked for a quote, they responded promptly through email. I accepted and the work was done as requested. Our huge dead oak tree was removed and when they finished you could never tell where it had been. Clean up was wonderful. They ground out the stump and even covered it over with peat moss to create a nice feature that was very pleasing. I would definitely use them again.

Everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. The work was done on time and we were happy with the results.

I contacted this company to get an estimate as I saw excellent reviews and a great website. On the same day Gina contacted me and we set an appointment for May 14th 2009. Keith arrived and evaluated the work to prepare an estimate -6 trees need pruning, 2 need to go- After waiting for two days I contacted Gina and asked for the estimate. Her reply was an apology about "There was system error and your appointment did not display on the arborist's calendar" but Keith did show up. I reminded her that Keith did visit the property and never heard back, even after asking again.

Micah gave the initial estimate and was there to start off the job. Crew of 3 were there to start at 8am and got after it. Communication was no problem and they were all polite and professional. What amazed me was that these workers really knew their business, knowing which sprouts and suckers to leave and which to prune for the health of the trees. (I'm VERY picky about my trees and who works on them.) Live oak nicks and cuts were all painted over immediately, not at the end of the job. Clean up was great, only a couple of small branches found over the last week, most probably stuck in the trees. They were in the middle of my 3 estimates. Treemasters was $150 higher and did them last time. They also do great work but I thought I'd try these guys this time and was very happy.

On time for estimate, estimate within expectations for amount of work. Workers came out and cut down 2 trees (One very large) & cut dead branches from 3 other trees. Had an existing pile of already cut branches that they also took at no additional cost. Only issue was that 1 stump was not ground to below ground level, staff returned within 2 days to further grind stump. Overall very professional.

I needed a lot of tree pruning and removal done on my property, and was interested in Austin Tree Experts as a result of the really great reviews. I filled out a request on their web site with a description of the job, and for an estimate. Someone contacted me promptly to arrange for an appointment with an arborist (Micha) whom I wanted to meet with and discus the work. After being about 30 minutes late for the apt. I got a call from one of the coordinators telling me that Micha was stuck on a job, and would be about another hour which was no problem. However, no one ever showed up, and I never heard from them again. I'm sure I could have called to reschedule, but good arborists are not a commodity in the Austin area and several managed to show up on time, and provide a fair quotes.

All the work, including painting the wounds, was done promptly as scheduled. I wasn't home to observe. The tree is still alive after about a month.

ATE neither removed the live oak branch or so much as touched the crape myrtle on their first attempt. When called back out a second time on the same job minimal work was completed. Of further disappointment was how they cut the branches that they did cut. Branches were not cut at their origin from the tree but mid trunk. Disappointing and generally unprofessional work. When billing was advised of this prospective poor report the representative seemed unconcerned. I do not recommend using Austin Tree "Experts".

It was a positive and seamless experience. I contacted them via email and they followed up the next day to arrange a time to inspect the job. Within 48 hours I had a quote and had arranged for the service in a week's time. At all times my questions were thoughtfully answered and Keith was very deliberate about making sure we were on the same page with respect to which trees would be removed. One special request I had was to tell me an address where they were currently working so that I could see an active job site. It's my experience that you can recognize quality crews by the way they manage their jobs site. Austin Tree Experts accomodated my request in after a 2-3 minute visit I was comfortable. The workers arrived when I'd been told they would, 1PM on a Wednesday. They worked that afternoon, loaded everything they'd trimmed and hauled it away. The next day they worked the entire day and loaded everything again. On the last day they showed up in the morning and finished up. While they didn't ultimately pick up every 4" piece of branch, they got the vast majority of it. Having done this kind of work myself I'd rate their job site cleanliness very high. The quality of the trimming is high to my eye as well, but I'm no expert. I would certainly make use of them again.

Austin Tree Experts offered a wonderful price and followed through with an amazing job. Our property looks terrific! I would recommend them to anyone! They even assures that the customer is completely happy with his work by conducting a follow-up call.

Keith came out and took a look and found out what I wanted. He advised me as to what I needed, which was actually less than what I thought! Anyway, Keith came out and walked the job with the crew on the day they started. All went exactly as I wanted. No problems, uniformed crews, etc. Highly recommend them.

Overall this company was excellent. The worker that came out to estimate the project was very good. We had a few companies estimate the project but this worker was focused on removing as little of the tree as necessary instead of cutting the tree down completely which I preferred. The price he quoted us at was the most competitive, too. The crew that came out did a very good job. The original worker who had given us the estimate came out with them to greet us and get them started. They were very good at what they did, it was amazing to watch them work in the trees. They cleaned up after themselves well and they even blew out my gutters for me. They were exceptional.

Work was performed, including thorough clean up beyond expectations. Biggest concern was removing the Cedar without damaging the wooden deck, railing or nearby lights.

Called to get estimate for stump grinding/removal. Were supposed to come next day. Didn't hear back with estimate so called to follow up and was told they got busy and would be out that day. Didn't hear back with estimate and didn't follow up again.

Went great. I contacted them by e-mail and received a response within a day. There was a little wait to get the service scheduled (about 3 weeks), but the crew arrived as scheduled. There was a delay in getting a cable installed, but the crew promptly came back out once the equipment they needed came in.

We liked that they had arborists on their staff. The price was competitive. They answered all of my questions. They did a great job. The trees look more aesthetic and healthy. They came to fertilize the trees and that was included in the price. They coordinated the service to fit my time schedule.

I wouldn't ding them on removing the hedges. They did a great job. They cleaned up very well. They were very informative.

It was great. They were punctual. Their price came in lower than what they thought it would be. They provided great information and follow-up. Overall, just great service. There were a lot of other companies that wanted to come out and do a lot more. After talking to a few companies, it sounded like it didn't need to be done. He could have made a lot more money off of me but he didn't. They were honest.

Everything was very professionally done, and we were pleased with the work they did. The people were all extremely pleasant.

They were quick to get out the estimate and setup appointment. A little tardy on arrival date but when I called the office they were quick to resolve. Workers were quick and trimmed exactly as I had asked for, so they had good notes. Cleaned everything up very well. Would use again.

My entire experience with Austin Tree Experts has been excellent. They have a great website where you can create an account, request an estimate, receive a proposal and approve the work you desire. The friendly, efficient office staff contacts you and schedules the day and time for the work. I also wanted to meet with a certified arborist to find out what kind of trees I have in my yard and which work would most benefit their health. Keith, an ISA certified arborist, was professional and knowledgeable. We walked through the yard and he told me what each tree was and the work needed. He answered every question I had and gave me some good advice on how to prolong the life of a peach tree. The estimate for the work was on the website a few hours later. I really like being able to review the work and approve only the work I wanted to get done. Keith and the Austin Tree Experts crew arrived exactly when they said they would. Keith told the crew the work that needed to be done, and they immediately went to work. This was a hard-working, professional crew. They pruned and removed dead wood on a very large mulberry tree and a smaller oak in the front yard, two large trees (sycamore and parasol) in the backyard plus removed two large Hackberry tree branches (from neighbor's yard) and a small oak that was growing into power lines. Then they got on the roof and removed multiple branches from various trees that were hitting the roof and destroying roof shingles. All debris was removed. Once the job was done, Luis walked with me around the property so I could see the work that had been done and to make sure I was satisfied. They did an excellent job. All the trees look so good now and it's great to not have to worry about branches hitting the roof anymore. I highly recommend Austin Tree Experts.
