Austin Irrigation Management

After finally going to Angie's list I found Austin Irrigation Management. Jeff Tucker the owner came out himself for the service call. He was very prompt, friendly and professional. Jeff spent about 40 minutes looking at various parts of the entire sprinker system water pressure issue, and by process of elimination was finally able to figure out that the owners cutoff valve was about 25% open. The plumber we had out couldn't even figure that out! Jeff with a lot of elbow grease was able to turn the valve on so it was fully open. He then spend about another hour going our system making sure that every zone and sprinker head was operating properly, which it was. So after all this time with our grass dying and me having to pull out a manual sprinker every week to water all the dry spots, Jeff was able to fix the issue in one visit and it only cost us $94! I have already recommended Jeff to an neighbor and will not use anyone else. This is a guy who knows what he is doing, does it right, and is a delight to work with!

Jeff Tucker was fantastic to work with! I called him to repair a broken pipe in our sprinkler system that was shooting up a small geyser. Of course, this happened three days before we were to leave town, and I was worried we would not be able to get it fixed in time. Jeff squeezed us into his schedule to help us out. He showed up at the time we agreed upon, and was very quick to fix the broken pipe. He offered to check the rest of the system, which we were glad he did as there was another leaking pipe! He fixed the second leak, replaced a couple of sprinkler heads that were broken, and made sure that all of the sprinklers were adjusted correctly. He did all of this in an hour, and even waited on my husband to come home to bring a check for payment! Jeff is very polite, courteous and professional. He didn't even mind my son playing in the sprinklers while he adjusted them. If we every need any work done on our system again, he is the person we will be calling.

This is the second time I have used Jeff to repair our sprinkler system. I can usually make minor repairs to sprinkler heads and pipes, but the work was beyond my skill. Jeff came out quickly, examined the problems and fixed them promptly. He did an excellent job and everything is working fine. I plan to use Jeff in the future, if I need work done on our irrigation system.

This is the third time I've worked with Jeff Tucker at Austin Irrigation Management. He's very communicative, punctual, competent and fair priced. He prefers to schedule through email which works great for me. Since he met my tenants this time, afterward he followed up with an invoice and some advice for maintaining the system. Very professional throughout.

This is the second time we have used Jeff to service our lawn irrigation. He is on time, does the work himself, and in the most cost efficient manner. He diagnoses the problem quickly and is very knowledgeable on sprinkler systems.

Jeff showed up exactly at the scheduled time. He thoroughly checked the entire system, addressed all my questions and concerns and described in detail all the work that needed to be done. He was very concerned that I not spend money needlessly on work that wasn't necessary. He even showed me how to so some of the work myself so I could save on labor! He told me what parts to buy, where to get them and how to install them. He saved me a lot of money that I might have otherwise spent if I had gone with another company. Jeff is honest to a fault, he showed me how to do all the work and then was going to leave without charging me a dime! I had to insist that he perform some of the work so I could pay him something for his time. Sure I could have taken him up on his offer, gone to Home Depot, bought the parts and done it myself. But he had already spent over an hour with me and I wanted to compensate him for his time. So I asked him to replace the broken heads and nozzles, and adjust the others. Jeff saved me a lot of money by describing how I can replace the broken timer box myself, as well as which one to buy and which ones to avoid. And I got a free education on sprinkler maintenance and repair! I don't think you can find another person who is as skilled , honest, and generous. Hire Jeff and you won't be disappointed.

Jeff Tucker, the business owner and service tech, visited once to provide the system diagnostics and a repair estimate. He then returned several days later as agreed abd performed all the work. The work was excellent, Jeff was very professional and knowledgeable, and the cost was less than the initial estimate as the work took less time than originally estimated. I would highly recommend Jeff and Austin Irrigation Management.

The owner of the company (Jeff) arrived on time, completed the prescribed work ahead of schedule, and charged less than the price quoted. I am very pleased with the solution Jeff provided, and he was very careful to put the sod back in place. The sprinkler system now performs correctly, and I would highly recommend Austin Irrigation to my friends and family.

The control box for my irrigation system indicated that it was not receiving AC power, which made it inoperable. Two previous service providers were not able to either diagnose or fix the problem. Jeff knew exactly how to identify and fix the problem. After getting the system working again he went through all of the watering zones and adjusted the sprinklers and also gave me a lot of useful information about the most effective way to use the system. I was extremely impressed with every aspect of the service provided.

I joined Angie's list as I went through a nightmare experience with two different types of repairmen who didn't know what they were doing, they wouldn't return calls or properly fix what they had broken. This was just the opposite. Jeff was knowledgeable, professional and reasonable.

We have used Austin Irrigation Management for many years and always found them to be superior to other irrigation firms. Jeff, the owner, is easy to work with and always works toward the best solution for the lowest cost. He is also very helpful with advice for how to keep the lawn and plants looking good with the least amount of water, as Austin water costs continue to rise. Jeff is an all-around good person, and I recommend his company to anyone looking for help with their sprinkler system - they are honest and extremely knowledgeable.

I was completely satisified with the services performed and I intend to schedule further work to make some additional modifications to a tiered bed area that will require some drilling through a couple of brick walls.

I contacted Jeff by email and received a response back the same evening with a proposed appointment time. Because of the amount of work Jeff had scheduled, his appointments were two weeks out. However, Jeff had a cancellation and contacted me immediately offering to come sooner. This was appreciated because at the time I was having to water manually. Jeff promptly arrived at the scheduled appointment time and diagnosed our issues. Because the resolution was going to take several hours to fix, we scheduled the work for another day. Thankfully, Jeff temporarily remedied the issues with our valves enabling the use of our sprinkler system in the meantime. When the next appointment rolled around, Jeff arrived promptly again and got right to work. When he was all done he walk me through all of the items he fixed and I had to chuckle when he mentioned fixing issues I had been aware of but had forgotten to mention. It's always nice when someone is so thorough that you don't have to rely on your memory. Jeff finished up by setting our controller to water on a schedule that would get us the most benefit for our buck. The end result is a sprinkler system that is working properly and a yard that is looking good. We will definitely call Jeff again if the need arises.

I was seeing bare spots on my lawn and had not had my irrigation system checked for several years. I contacted Jeff and was scheduled for a complete irrigation check within 2 days. When I had to cancel with only a day's notice, Jeff graciously responded with another date for 3 days later. He arrived promptly, tested all zones, uncloged and adjusted heads, repaired leaks and replaced a broken pipe for wires. He also cheerfully answered my many questions and advised the best setting for the controller run cycle, It was a pleasant experience and I will continue to call on this company as needed.

Jeff was truly great. He called 30 minutes prior to arrival and arrived when he said he would. After looking at my entire system (which was a home-made system installed by one of the previous owners), he gave me an honest assessment of its status. Between all of the broken heads, lack of a backflow preventer, old and worn-out valves, and just general old age of the system, he advised that I not spend a dime (and he could have made a lot off of me!) and instead save for a new system. That's the type of service I truly value. Call Jeff!

Had Jeff come out after seeing good reviews online. Very professional and great guy to work with. Did an excellent job and my lawn is looking much better after getting everything adjusted the right way. Helped alignment, cleaned some of the heads, and adjusted the timer for best performance. Only guy I'll ever use for irrigation services. Easy to see why he is in such high demand.

FALL 2011: In mid to late November after checking and repairing all of the minor issues in our irrigation system, Jeff bled the lines (including the backflow preventer) of any residual water and winterized it. Spring 2012: AUSTIN IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT (Jeff Tucker), emailed us with a reminder to re-engage the system in order to give an extra boost to the early spring plant growth. We made an appointment. As usual, Jeff arrived friendly, on time, and went right to work turning on, testing, evaluating and repairing the issues at hand. After finishing the adjustments. he programmed the system's controller box providing for minimal spring water needs. After programming he wrote and posted detailed instructions explaining the process for increasing watering shedules and cycle times for the summer months. He then attached the instructions inside the contoller box for the homeowners (us) to use as reference. After he finished Jeff gave me an extremely fair and reasonable invoice that included his time (and materials which were minimal). **As a side bar, I called a few weeks later asking him to switch a couple of "bubbler heads" to some small sprayers. When He arrived to do the work as per our appointment, I had forgotten about it and was not home. One of the things that makes Austin Irrigation Managment (Jeff Tucker)exceptional is the fact that while most companies (no doubt) would have left without doing anything and blamed the homeowner for the inability to do so...Jeff Tucker embodies pride in having a honorable work ethic and as well, a consistent commitment to a positive reputation as a problem solver and excellent service provider. I am not related to nor do I know Jeff outside of our work envolvement but I am compelled to assure you that one simply can not ask for a better irrigation company. This company is the only one that I will wait my turn for service. Believe me, IT IS WORTH IT.

I emailed Austin Irrigation Management after I had researched irrigation systems (automatic sprinkler systems) on Angie's List. The owner responded to my email promptly and courteously. Jeff, the owner, called before he arrived the day of the appointment. He asked what my main concerns were, made a thorough visual inspection of the system, made suggestions for my repairs, and completed the desired work quickly and competently. He also made suggestions for repairs that I could do myself or schedule for a later date because I had told him my budget constraints. The amazing "repair" that he did was programing my control box so that the watering schedule was optimized and economized. I am thrilled with the service I received from Austin Irrigation Management.

Wonderfully! Jeff is very professional and was a pleasure to meet. He preformed the work requested and is truly an honest business man. I will use him again! I highly recommend him for your sprinkler system repairs!

Jeff has done work for us several times. The most recent visit was the most extensive. He replaced several heads, repaired a cracked pipe, and replaced a couple valves. He shows up when he says he will, and he's easy to communicate with.

He charged $75 per hour. He is a one man business who has been doing this for 28 years. He is really good. He was fast, very efficient, and knew what he was doing.

He arrived promptly and seemed extremely knowledgeable about everything he saw, and described in detail each issue he saw with the system and showed me exactly why it was a problem. In the end, he told me that the repairs needed were so extensive that they were outside the scope of what he could accomplish on his own, and he thought my money would be better spent simply replacing our very old system rather than repairing it. Since he doesn't actually do new installations, he gave me a referral for a company he has worked with in the past and recommended. Most people would have jumped on the opportunity to charge us an arm and a leg for the vast number of repairs our system needed, so his honesty in this situation was both surprising and admirable. I was actually disappointed that we wouldn't be able to hire him. I will definitely call him again when we have either a new sprinkler system or a new house!

HIRE THIS MAN!!! He had a cancellation two days after I emailed him so I got in quick. He said he was 2-3 week wait now on average. He was prompt, fun to work with, efficient, you name it. He set my system up for the water restrictions. He explained the watering method he uses, and recommended locking caps for my station control boxes. I'm waiting to get on his schedule for that, as well as routine maintenance on my parents' system.

Great! Before I called Austin Irrigation Mgt I had another company attempt to diagnose and repair the problem - they were not able to do so and in fact told me I had other things wrong with the system which turned out to not be true. Jeff was very professional and quickly found what needed fixed. It was a simple matter of locating the end of a cut wire and now the system is working fine.
