Everything went well.

I simply find them a stand up local business. I had gone to the shop before in about 2008 to have some keys cut for a new truck I just bought (I lose things like keys easily so I wanted extra keys around for when I started losing my keys); It was from the guys at Anderson Mill Lock and Key I got an education re: Sensor Chips in Keys; the keys are expensive, vehicle won't operate (readily) without the chip encoded key and I probably should learn not to lose my keys so easily. Important stuff and not so important stuff; I didn't get those keys cut that day but one of the things I learned was they have been in business for years and other odd ball stuff that was going through our brains at the time. (I learned from a Sheriff on IH10 a couple of years later that those fancy sensor chipped keys do not prevent a truck from being stolen as I had once thought) Fast forward now to 2011; my husband and I recently purchased a house in North Austin near Anderson Mill Lock and Key was in 2008; I tell my husband I know where a good Locksmith, so I will drop off the cylinder to be rekeyed and get extra keys cut (I still have that bad habit); I head straight to the shop I visited in 2008 but they were not to be found. I did find their phone number thanks to the internet stuff my son has taught me. Anderson Mill Lock and Key had moved to the other side of Hwy 183 almost 3 years before! They gave me directions to get right over; I was able to drop off my rekey and cut key order; ran an errand and everything was ready and waiting for me when I returned. I realize my order was small; I am not the one customer that is going to keep them in business but I wanted to add my review so local businesses continue to thrive doing their trade and providing neighborly service. Look for the big white letters over the shop that says "KEYS"

They have done work for us before and we are really happy with them. We are going to use them again. They are very close and local. The price was very good and competitive. The guy was really nice and the service was done well.

We were trying to get away on a trip that day and time was tight. He came right away and had it done quickly. He was polite and businesslike, and good at his task. I hope we don't lock ourselves out again, but if we do, I won't hesitate to call him again.

My tenant had the front door kicked in by a inturder on Thursday, August 12, 2010. I had the total door replaced. The keyless dead bolt & viewer needed to be installed. I called them late in the aftrnoon. The tech was there Saturday morning. He also installed a kick plate & straightened out the door. Their promptness helped to lessen my tenants fears.

We needed something more than a big box key duplicator. Anderson Mill Lock & Key is a professional locksmith. They know the lock repair business as well as key duplication. Their equipment is kept clean and is professional which also means it is accurate/calibrated. They knew precisely what keys were needed and their duplication was as good as the original.
