Anderson Mill Lock & Key

Phone was answered promptly and technician came out in a couple of hours, even though I explained it wasn't an emergency. Technician also adjusted the front door lock set while he was here.

Today was my first time to call on Anderson Mill Lock & Key, and I will definitely be calling on them when I need locksmith service in the future. My front door handle was originally installed in 1983. The last time it was repaired a few years ago, I was told to not expect it to last much longer. This time when it fell apart I bought a new set that was similar to the old one. I called the locksmith office about 12:30pm, explained the situation, and was told their technician would be contacted to get in touch with me. I had not requested any rush service, but the tech arrived at 2:10 and finished everything in 40 minutes. Quite impressive!

Called the shop and said they could do on-the-spot repair if I brought the trailer by. Very prompt service and successful outcome.

I was at the Cypress Creek carwash washing my truck and when I went to leave, I could not turn the key in the ignition of my truck, it was completely stuck and locked up. I called Anderson Mill Lock and Key. The person that answered the phone was very courteous and transferred my over to John, a locksmith. John seemed quite knowledgeable when I explained the problem and told me he'd encountered this particular problem before in other Dodge vehicles. In order to save me time and money, John first tried to walk me through the process over the phone on how to "unstick" my ignition and get my key to turn. Unfortunately, I was still unable to turn the key in the ignition, however I appreciated the fact that they attempted to try to help me fix the problem over the phone and thus, avoid charging me a service call fee. John then informed me that he would come to my location, he described the vehicle he was driving and got my cell phone number in case he needed help in finding my location. He told me he'd arrive in 10 minutes and he was there within 10 minutes. He not only unlocked my ignition, he also fixed the ignition lock so that the likelihood of this same problem occurring again would be extremely low. He was honest, straightforward, polite, and explained everything he was doing and even taught me something about my truck ignition. The van he arrived in had all his equipment and tools in it so he was able to complete all the work right there at the car wash. It was a genuine pleasure to watch someone at work who not only knew exactly what he was doing, but also enjoyed the work he was doing. After the work was complete, he was able to run my credit card right there at the work site, give me a receipt and he gave me his business card with his cell phone number on it. I would absolutely use Anderson Mill Lock and Key again.

There was a deal advertised through Angie's List that was approximately $130 to re-key 7 locks. Before purchasing the deal I wanted call the service provider to check on their availability which worked out but was advised by a John Hoker that I should pay them directly because I would get some type of discount. We set the appointment and I told them how many doors and locks we had. When the technician came out he basically told us we had to pay a higher number for re-keys due to what they consider separate re-keys. We paid them substantially more than what we expected to pay based on our initial conversation with Mr. Hoker. Almost immediately after the installation we noticed that locks were loose and keys did not open the locks properly. We called the company back and another technician said he would come to correct the mistakes from the first person. We were under the impression that this would be for free because the work wasn't done correctly. The new technician ended up charging us even more than the first technician to correct his mistakes. When we asked the second technician why we're paying to correct the first technician's mistake he said, "I don't work for free." Now just after 7 months we're having major issues with the locks. We're having major issues as the result of this re-key and they are actually trying to tell us that they didn't do the work. To get this kind of response is just shocking. They obviously have no interest in developing an ongoing relationship with their customers. After leaving your house don't expect them to return. Buyer beware!

John answered the phone early in the morning and able to arrange for service that day in between other jobs or would also help on a Sunday due to the urgency. He was so accommodating. Very pleasant and called that was on his way arrived on time and had everything done quite quickly and verified all was in working order. Think the locks worked even better than before her rekeyed them. Have used them before and will definitely use again.

Great! Right away they schedule a door tech. David from Pro 1 Services came just as he said he would and called first. He was there on time and promptly got to work. He took it apart, figured it out, put it back together, then explained to me how it worked. It is a very complicated Pella multipoint lock system that I dont know if I could have ever figured out, so I am greatful for not having to buy another one. They arent cheap. I will use them again anytime.

No work was completed. Requested service to rekey several doors including three Pella Doors. Anderson Mill does not like to do work on Pella doors and said they really don't like to go to Georgetown so Williamson County Angie's List users in that area and with Pella doors in particular should beware. Things to consider when new home builders and owners are looking for service in our area.

They were excellent, I've even recommended them to a few of my friends. They were reasonably priced, too. Their location is ideal, right next to Lowe's, very convenient and they're very efficient and helpful. They also helped me out right away, very quick.

The key blank's were cut in about a minute and the gentleman who cut them said he guaranteed they would work right. I said to him if I have to come back will I get my money back? He said sure---but you won't be coming back! That made me feel really good in the fact that he was so confident in his and the machine's capabilities that I really wouldn't be back......and guess what I wasn't! !Both individuals I spoke to were both friendly and forthcoming with information as well I asked him what was the difference between his and Home Depot's key cutting machine. He said that it has to do with the machines calibration which the locksmith does every day. He said that Home Depot doesn't calibrate their machines frequently and the keys come out incorrectly cut. I won't even bother with Home Depot or Lowe's again--I'm just heading straight to Anderson Mill Lock and Key!

We were able to get a same-day appointment, and were very pleased with the level of service. We will definitely use Anderson Mill Lock and Key for any future work needed.

Top lock was jammed at my rental house, and the only way for tenant's kids to get in was through garage, but they didn't have an opener. They squeezed me in on a busy day so the kids could get in after school. Experienced and professional.

It was about 104+ degrees outside and I was locked out of my home. Suddenly the key would not turn the lock so I quickly got on Angie's List and found this locksmith service close by. They came within 10 minutes and took care of the job quickly and at a reasonable price. They recommended I change the lock as the original was a cheap set and I went to Lowes right away and took care of the problem.

Excellent job. Good experience with this company. I called and in no time someone came over to work on the job. In less than an hour and a half from my call the job was complete! I never expected such quick service. The repairman was courteous and friendly and completed the job quickly and even tightened the screws on my door as a bonus. Highly recommended.

However, they advised me that due to the construction of my doors, these expensive locks would not provide me with the security that I hoped for. I greatly appreciated their advice.
