All Area Overhead

Well, the installer was supposed to show up between 12:00 and 2:00, but there was a delay from the previous job. At least they called to let me know, and the installer arrived at about 3:30. It took about 90 minutes to install the Liftmaster 8355 belt drive opener. At first, he drilled holes to place a ceiling bracket 90 degrees from the direction that he settled on, and he didn't patch up the first holes. He smoothed out the door rollers with silicone spray that he found in the garage, and overall the installation was good. I was just expecting them to be more professional based on their very good reviews on Angie's List. They sold me an extra remote for $40 and gave me a $20 senior discount, so the price was very reasonable.

They had worked on my garage door/opener in the past. Last year my opener's hardware failed and it caused my garage door to start to rip on the upper panel. That was the first time I had them come out and they replaced my opener and braced my garage door. When my door started sounding funny again I called them out, it was easy because they put a sticker near the opener button. This time it was apparent that whole garage door needed to be replaced. The technician(Subino) temporary braced my garage door and warned me that I needed to replace it sooner rather than later. He didn't charge me for the bracing or the service visit. Since I had never priced or replaced a garage door before I called a couple of companies, including my go to Costco. My last garage door was the builder level door, that ripped after 15 years, this time I wanted double steal insulated garage door. All Area Overhead door's price was the cheapest by far, with exactly what I wanted. They were able to install my new garage door the next day! Everything was smooth and as expected. The technician even moved the bracing from my last door to my new door. (This would help with wind resistance, not really needed but there is no harm in having them on my new door. Every experience I have had with All Area Overhead has been a great one.

Installer showed up right on time and completed work in about an hour. They used a high quality garage door opener, Liftmaster 8557 with 2 openers. The person was upfront about the work to be done, When the work was completed, he covered maintenance needs for the garage door opener and the door itself. He also covered how to program the opener keypad. He was very professional all up and I would hire them again for any garage door needs. The price was also quite reasonable as the opener is >$315 online with openers.

From the first contact, the owner always answered calls or returned immediately. His crew was professional and knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and did extra touches where needed. They were easy to work with in coordinating their work schedule with owners being home to give access to the garages.

All Area were responsive and able to schedule an appointment same day (on a Saturday). They were prompt and professional. Unfortunately, they did not have the parts required to fix the door same day, so service was scheduled for the next business day. Service was prompt and efficient, and the door works perfectly now. Would use again.

Approximately 4:30 PM on a Friday night my large commercial door on our shop didn't close properly. It was caught up in the track and made a terrible sound. It was stuck halfway down and tilting at a precarious angle and was clearly very unsafe (these things weigh hundreds of pounds and it could have dropped unexpectedly.). We couldn't close up the shop for the night so all our equipment was at risk as well if we just left it open all night. I immediately called the angie's list provider I have used happily in the past but they didn't answer (even their 24 hour emergency line). I left them several messages and never heard back. Here it is a day later and they still haven't called me back. I then called another angie's list provider (by now it was 5 pm on a Friday night) and they were apologetic - due to the recent rains they were still swamped and couldn't get someone out until TUESDAY! I then called All Area Overhead and they understood the danger of the situation and said they would have someone out that same night - and gave me a 2 hour timeframe (between 6-8 pm). At 7:15 a single truck arrived with their technician, Martin. Martin got to work right away on the door and spent some time really looking at everything to determine the best way to get this large, heavy door down, and fix it. He was a wealth of information about this type of door, the type of opener we had, care and maintenance of doors, etc... While he worked he was very patient with my questions and he got the door fixed in about an hour. He was clearly exhausted when he first arrived (heck it was after 7 on a Friday night and it was clear he'd already put in a long day) but he never complained...just did the job and was pleasant and very competent. He went over some maintenance tips at the end and was on his way...I was so appreciative. I'm fairly sure if I got called out for an emergency job at night, in the heat and mosquitos, after an already long day I would not have been nearly as pleasant as Martin. I highly recommend All Area Overhead and will be calling them again for any future garage door needs. They did what they said they would do, charged a reasonable rate, got the job done quickly, and were pleasant to boot despite the late hour, heat, and mosquitos. What more can you ask for?

They did a fantastic job! The door was very squeaky before the service and is blessedly silent now! They even showed me where/how to oil the door should it get squeaky in the future!

They were extremely courteous and professional, even replaced driveway blocks that were accidently turned over. They answered all questions, worked quickly and efficiently. We were very pleased.

Alan and his worker were so informative and helpful. Alan knew exactly why my garage door was having some issues and told me to always call if I had any other issues so that he would have a chance to explain to me what might could be done to prevent having to pay. Now, a woman doesn't find a person like that very often at all any more! Most businessmen take advantage of the fact that women don't know about how things work and that they can be easily swayed to do extra work for greater fees. Alan even replaced the burned out light bulb with a wonderful attitude of wanting to be of service. I was more than impressed and will be calling him whenever I need help with my garage door. I'm very thankful for honest, helpful men.

I called the top 5 garage repair shops listed in Angie's list. All Area Overhead was the only one that gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone. All the others insisted that there was no way to prove an estimate without scheduling an appointment for a site visit. All Area Overhead replaced my springs the same day and their estimate was right on. Their responsiveness and communications were great, the price was the best and the repair was done ahead of schedule. I have used several other companies in the past, but All Area Overhead is easily the best in terms of price and quality. I plan to use them whenever I need help with a repair.

It was fine. The young man did an excellent job. He said to just hang on to door because in about six months we will need another one. He was very honest. I liked him very much. I will certainly use them in the future.
